What percentage of young adults aged 18-25 experience auditory hallucinations? Is this just a normal part of development or something rare
I'm looking for serious answers from medical professionals here.

Look, I’m no doctor, but it might actually help if you just laid out exactly what’s going on with you...

Wait, hallucinations???

If you're hearing noises—like this constant ringing or buzzing in your ears—then you're probably dealing with Tinnitus.
Basically, your ear thinks it's hearing something and starts playing this phantom buzzing loop in your head. I went through it myself once, though it didn't happen too often...

I wear hearing aids, and I used to visit the Mayo Clinic quite a bit for my hearing issues. They saw plenty of people there struggling with Tinnitus—people who deal with it constantly. One way they treat it is by playing back the exact same sound you're hearing. Eventually, the noise stops because your brain finally learns to tell the difference between the actual sound and the fake one.

If you’re starting to deal with hallucinations—I mean, if you’re actually hearing distinct words, full-blown sentences, or maybe even lyrics to a song, or if someone is giving you directions but there isn't anyone there—then honestly, the smartest move you can make for your own sake is to get to a doctor immediately.

Like, seriously, try to get an appointment today if you can.

This is one of those situations where you need some heavy-duty professional help, and you need it sooner rather than later.

Sure, it’s a matter of semantics—you lose your sense of direction entirely. But what I really want to know is how many other young people are dealing with this at that age.

Unless they’re sick—or high—there isn't anyone.
Like Bill Gates mentioned, you really need to run some searches.

Are you hearing voices telling you what to do? Do you deal with bouts of depression, or maybe those periods where you’re feeling uncharacteristically high on life? Are you smoking a lot of weed? Or perhaps you find yourself constantly glued to a console or scrolling through games on your phone?

At the end of the day, I truly believe it’s best to just be completely honest with your doctor...
