Seriously, can someone explain why? This whole thread about mandatory military service is being shut down. Look, I get it—you guys have had some bad experiences with certain ideologies on this forum, but banning any discussion about women in the military and training is ridiculous. It’s like trying to talk about the American Civil War but telling me I’m not allowed to mention Stalingrad, Boise, or Slunj...
Given the world we live in right now, we should probably be looking at the Israeli model. If things ever actually kick off, our allies in the European Union aren't going to step up to save us. We'll just end up stuck on a Wild West line running from Lincoln to Washington to New York to Chicago, forced to defend the entire European Union's interests by ourselves.

Exactly. On a thread about sexist military service, they ban you from even mentioning sexism. Just imagine if we had a discussion on religious education in schools and were forbidden from actually talking about religion 😵

Sexism is simply the term for an ideology based on the premise that physical and mental differences between genders should dictate different social roles.

I don't think this is really a moderator issue, but Anderson can do whatever he wants.

I don't see why people can't just say what's on their minds on this forum.

The reality is, reverse sexism—you know, the kind aimed at guys—is everywhere, so why should anyone get punished just for pointing out facts? At the end of the day, what kind of forum even is this if you're suffocating free speech? We aren't inciting violence or spreading hate or anything like that.

If someone wants to debate discrimination within military service, they are welcome to start a thread in the appropriate subforum. Out of three pages of this thread, one entire page was nothing but blatant trolling about gender by certain users who probably recognize themselves. It wouldn't work here. ☕

The topic is military service and everything tied to it. Why on earth would we need two different threads for that?

Politics is basically just the process of making decisions to control the population—it's how resources get handed out, and how rights and responsibilities are distributed within society. Period.

Anything that falls under that definition needs to be discussed within the scope of the Politics PDF, otherwise, it's nothing more than straight-up censorship.

Not a chance. After a long history of dealing with these issues—and realizing that any thread veering in that direction almost immediately devolves into nauseatingly misogynistic trolling—we decided we simply don't need it. We haven't changed our minds on this one.
