For those who aren't in the loop, I've been having a massive headache with my EVGA GTX 750 Ti and these Intel drivers. I actually sent the card in for repair at Best Buy because of the black screen issues (check out the pics: http://oi66.tinypic.com/jshgk8.jpg , http://oi63.tinypic.com/rscydy.jpg ). Long story short: the guys at the shop just installed whatever the latest drivers were that they could find—here's the proof: http://oi65.tinypic.com/jshjbd.jpg . Honestly, I'm pretty disappointed with the service. Plus, the thought of having to haul this thing back in for another warranty claim is just ridiculous. Anyway, the GPU runs okay enough on these ancient drivers, though I'm getting some stuttering here and there, which is starting to get on my nerves. -.- Another reason I’m looking to sell is that I really want to try out OBS Studio. But man, what a mess: I can't find any decent GTX 750s on the market right now, and most of them are the DDR3 versions... while the actual 750s are insanely overpriced. -.- I'm honestly stuck and have no clue what to do. -.-

So, what kind of budget are we looking at for the new GPU?

I haven't really decided yet. Honestly, I wouldn't go higher than a GeForce GTX 750. My CPU is just an Intel Pentium G1840, so I'm pretty much capped there. Do you think it's alright if I list this one on eBay for $167?

I doubt you'll end up with $167, at that price point you can grab something way better

It's hilarious watching people on Craigslist try to flip a $167 for an EVGA GTX 650 without even trying. I'm just gonna list mine for 500 bucks and see what happens.

If the GPU isn't actually broken, I guess there’s no point in swapping it out or selling it. Might be better to just figure out how to get it running properly, otherwise you might run into the same headache with whatever replacement you pick...

You'd probably need genuine Windows for that to even work. A buddy let me borrow his 650TI for a few days and it runs perfectly fine. It's honestly ridiculous how much AMD constantly complains about everything. -.-

Look, neither you nor I are experts here, so saying AMD isn't any good just doesn't fly. A similar percentage of NVIDIA cards run into issues too. You just happened to pick up a dud, and that's that. AMD is a solid company.

I don't think 530 people would agree with you on that one! ^^

Getting Windows is pretty easy—you can just grab a trial version online to test it out first

Display driver stopped responding and has recovered
You haven't run into those issues with NVIDIA drivers or bad hardware before 😵

I had an EVGA GTX 650 for a year and a half, and not once did a driver crash on me. Even though that card is total junk, I never had any issues with it.

Look, I’m stuck running my 7870 on ancient drivers because every time I try to install an update, I just get hit with a black screen. It’s pathetic. Honestly, I’m just counting down the days until this thing dies so I can finally jump ship to NVIDIA.

Mine don't happen during installation—it's just random crashes. I'm stuck on old drivers too. The unknown part right now is that there isn't a single decent NVIDIA card on the market. 750s are priced at $317, and you can't find any 750s on eBay. -.- Looks like I'm stuck with this piece of junk for a little while longer.
