Hey there! 👋

I know it’s Sunday evening, but I’ve ended up feeling absolutely terrible—like, totally under the weather—so I can't really get out and do anything productive with this beautiful day. I realize it's Sunday for the mods too, but I actually submitted some reports almost 48 hours ago and haven't seen any movement from anyone, so I was hoping someone in charge might take a look at this.

On the thread "I am happy with myself so I can be happy in a relationship" (PDF US), I commented on a post by user ex anais. Regarding the part where she wrote:

ex anais said:He should love me even when I'm acting out after a frustrating situation—and that's already a mess. Just like how I'll love him when he's in a coma. If someone only wants the polished version of me, they can deal with someone else.

I responded with:

Taylor Swift said:Just like Marilyn Monroe.

In response to my comment, ex anais replied:

ex anais said:Yeah, exactly, girl boss. 🙏

🤦

And then I came back with:

Taylor Swift said:Don't judge me for making associations. 🤷

Now this user is resorting to "low blows" and insinuating that I'm attacking her, mostly because I commented on one of her earlier posts as well. The mods can see the posts, but I can't quote them here because they've been deleted.

ex anais said:I could easily take a cheap shot back at you, but honestly, I just don't have the energy for it. You’ve been picking at me for a while now for reasons that are entirely your own—so, just put me on ignore or whatever. 😁

My response to all that was simply stating that I was commenting on the post, which I was:
Taylor Swift said:1. A post.
2. An association.
3. A reply.

A forum. 🤷

And then I get this lovely little ad hominem:
ex anais said:Look, just shrug your shoulders and act cool; I truly don't care what kind of person you've become, but I won't tolerate toxicity and venom anywhere near my vicinity. If I decide to insult you, I'm going to do it straight up—no beating around the bush, no passive-aggressiveness, and no gloves. But you're just not important enough to me. This is a forum. And since I actually want to keep this place pleasant, stay away from me. Seriously. If you won't, I'll just put you on ignore. Because I am absolutely not interested in reading your nonsense, regardless of who else is writing here. It's pathetic that someone capable of writing like you do chooses to be a female version of ExxonMobil. Whatever. Bye. 👋

Edit: I'm not going to keep trashing someone else's thread. You came in here, took a swing at me, and let's just end it there.

To that, I continued the discussion by expanding on my comment regarding her post (which clearly hit a nerve):
Taylor Swift said:Come on, since Anaïs doesn't want to think I'm nitpicking, I'll elaborate.

No one is obligated to endure anyone else's bullshit just to earn, I don't know, some fragrant meadow of happiness. Nobody is required to love someone when they're acting out or being difficult, but that also doesn't mean that a "polished version" of anyone is inherently good. Putting up with someone's nonsense and frustrations and their erratic behavior usually just signals a willingness to swallow even more crap. That tends to lead toward total subservience, especially if you throw in that word "deserved" along the way. And as for a "polished version," it's irrelevant anyway.

Whatever. Anaïs will probably still think I'm just nitpicking, but we can't all be forum golden children.

Then I get hit with even more ad hominems and trolling:
I honestly can't stop thinking about that whole situation with Anaïs—it’s just one of those things that sticks in your mind, you know? It feels like there was so much unsaid, so much left hanging in the air between everyone involved. I've been sitting here trying to make sense of it all, and frankly, it's pretty heavy. There’s a certain weight to how things ended, a sort of lingering heaviness that you just can't shake off easily. It wasn't just a simple disagreement or some passing phase; it felt deeper than that, more complicated than most people realize at first glance. I keep going back to the details, wondering if we all missed something obvious, or if we were just too caught up in the moment to see the writing on the wall. It's tough to wrap your head around sometimes. kaže:
A I feel like you aren't really hearing me—not even close. After all this time, you’d think you'd be able to spot a caricature when it's staring you right in the face, wouldn't you?
Look, I’m not out here looking for conspiracies or trying to pick fights with everyone I meet—that's just not my style—but if I’m with you, I should be able to tell you when I'm having a rough day or feeling completely off-kilter without it becoming some massive interrogation. I am certainly not going to sit there and provide a detailed thesis to prove that I’m not just some spoiled brat taking my bad mood out on my partner—though, hey, you're more than welcome to jump to that conclusion and run with it if that's what you want to do, I guess. You know what I mean?
I’ve never played anyone, and I’ve never let anyone play me—it’s just not how I operate. If you’ve dealt with stuff like that in your past relationships, I am honestly so sorry—that really sucks. But just so we're clear, I'm not the one to blame for you throwing around insults and calling me some kind of loser.

Is this enough for tonight, or are we going to keep this rolling? I’m honestly about to crash—I'm heading to bed. Plus, the mods will be jumping back in first thing in the morning anyway, so we might as well call it.

I’m going to jump back in here and stay on topic this time:
Taylor Swift said:Look, I’ve always felt like this one hits home—that whole "if you can't handle me at my worst, you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best" sentiment. It sounds a bit intense, I know, but there's a real truth buried in there—it's about accountability and finding someone who actually sticks around when things get messy. Life isn't some polished Instagram feed or a perfect Hollywood rom-com; we all have those days where we're difficult, irrational, or just plain exhausted. If a person is only interested in being around for the highlights—the celebrations, the easy laughs, the "best" versions of us—then they aren't really a partner, they're just a fair-weather fan. Real intimacy requires seeing the cracks in the foundation and deciding to stay anyway. You need someone who sees the chaos and doesn't run for the hills, because if they can't navigate the rough patches with you, they definitely haven't earned the right to enjoy the sunshine.
Your post immediately brings to mind that hollow, empty quote—you know, the kind that’s basically Abusive Relationship 101.

And I’ll add this to the mix—because it seems like one particular user is clearly trying to turn this entire thing into something deeply personal, which, frankly, isn't my business at all:
Taylor Swift said:I don't really get why you're trying to turn this into some personal attack or an ad hominem argument—it’s just not that deep. Honestly, everyone else here is allowed to comment on what you write on the forum, so I'm not sure why I'm being singled out. It feels like a double standard, especially since you already snapped at me once before when I was just quoting one of your posts.
I have to hand it to you—you definitely know how to take some shots better than I do. Bravo.

Just a little more trolling and insults coming from her side:
Quote: That’s really all you know me for, isn't it? Well, now we're finished. For good.
I was just thinking about that whole situation with Anaïs—it’s honestly such a mess. It feels like one of those things where you can’t really look at it from just one angle without feeling a bit conflicted. You want to take a side, but the more you dig into what actually happened, the more everything starts to feel a little gray. It’s frustrating when things aren't black and white, isn't it? I've been sitting with it for a while now, trying to make sense of the fallout, but it's tough to find a clear answer when everyone involved seems to have their own version of the truth. kaže:
Alright, like I was saying— You’re more than welcome to label me an abuser—and that goes for the people I hang out with, too.Look, I’m asking you nicely—please just keep your own projections to yourself and stop involving me in them. This is the third time I’ve had to say it, so let’s just move past this and leave me out of it from here on out. You aren't going to be treating me. Look, I’m not your abuser, and I have never once yelled at you—not in person, not over the phone, not anywhere. Do you get that?

Look, I just don't want you grouping me in with people like that—and I definitely don't want you blowing my post up into some massive, empty forum drama. That might work if you're just trying to keep the local crew in line. It’s just not working on my end, though. Apparently, everything on this forum counts as violence now. And you—you’re basically the gold standard for all of it. You and everyone else just like you. God forbid someone accidentally says something that looks even remotely unacceptable to you or one of your little uniformed forum robots—let’s just go ahead and dogpile them. Let’s just tear them apart.

I’ve been watching this play out for years, and honestly, I guess I’m just a little slow to catch on—it’s only just started making my skin crawl. Are we done yet?
Or does this bully actually need to be begged because she can't find any other way to get her point across?
And yeah, when someone drags me down that low and calls me an abuser,

I’m going to hit back just as hard.
Taylor Swift says:
I’ll just leave all of this right here.

But don't lie and pretend you aren't happy to take a cheap shot. If anything, you've been dying to do it.
After that, she wasn't quite satisfied, so she decides to wrap things up in such a
ex anais said:Just like those toxic posts you used to make. I stand by every word I say, but it's obvious you just came here tonight to stab me with your venom, mock my post with that subtle, passive-aggressive style of yours, label me an abuser, and then gracefully wash your hands of the whole thing as if you’re just some innocent bystander passing through. Honestly, I’m just baffled.

I’m also asking that this doesn't get deleted. Even though it’s a shame to let such a good thread sit here looking like garbage, oh my god.

Yeah, much like how you couldn't wait to start talking trash about me again, for whatever personal reasons you have—because as far as I can remember, I’ve never said a single bad thing to you. But I guess this is just some weird forum sport where people just pick on someone who was perfectly fine to them, tear them to shreds, and then move on the next day like nothing happened. I don't play games like that.

Since the report has been sitting there for a while—and I assume it's not just mine, since ex anais was also "threatening" the mods who show up in the morning—I’m reaching out to the super-mods in charge of the US section and the admins. I’m asking for these posts to be reviewed and sanctioned. I would also appreciate it if the parts targeting me personally could be removed. Thanks!

No thanks, I'm good—it's not like it actually matters anyway.
Cheers!
