After spending a little time hanging out on this forum, I’ve realized that this sub actually only has about 1% lonely people in it. And most of them are guys who spend their time telling everyone else, "Hey, being single isn't even that bad," while they're clearly in long-term relationships themselves. It's pretty ridiculous. I know what actual loneliness feels like—it’s heavy. I know I won't feel truly happy until I find someone. Then I hear: "Just get out there and meet someone." Give me a break... I'm just not that lucky. And then you have some guy who’s been with the same partner for twenty years trying to lecture me on why being alone isn't a big deal. Like, give me a break...
I'm basically just talking to myself at this point.
Anyone up for coffee? I'm heading to the kitchen to make some right now because this whole thing is driving me crazy.☕

Look, just hear me out on this—I’m exactly who I am, flaws and all. And honestly? I want to love and be loved in return. The only way I can actually make that happen is by being unapologetically myself with women. Through that process, I’ll inevitably cross paths with someone who actually fits. But for that to work, I first have to find the right people to actually show my true self to.

As for where you'll meet them—we can figure that part out once you tell me who you really are, what you’re aiming for in life, what makes you tick, and where you call home.

Well, just like I figured, nobody’s even replying to this post because the truth hurts...

It’s like this: people read Fromma and finally get it—if you aren't okay on your own, being in a relationship just makes everything worse. That's the gist of it. The Art of Loving 😁

What a load of nonsense. The phrase "short-term stay" is really the crux of the matter here. I’ve been around for quite a while now, and let me tell you—not only was this place a lifesaver when I needed someone to vent to (which always helps), but I actually met my girlfriend through this forum. Granted, things didn't work out in the end, but that doesn't mean it always ends that way. On a brighter note, I’ve also made two great female friends right here. Now, don't go expecting twenty women to come swarming your way just to cheer you up—it’s not being served on a silver platter. Just be patient; you'll meet people. You might even find someone where there's a genuine spark... but you can't force that kind of thing. And as for flirting? If you think you can "hit the bullseye" without any actual personal charm—anywhere outside of a cheap motel—you are sorely mistaken. Flirting works here too, except nobody is relying on cheesy pickup lines or that whole Axe body spray effect. 😛 This is a domain for intellectuals. Everyone else can go hang out on Reddit. 🙂

Let the Force flow through you, man! 😉

But honestly? It’s true. I don't really have anything else to add to the matter. And why am I still typing? I suppose I just didn't want you thinking you were being completely ignored here.

Listen, that kind of deep, soul-crushing loneliness is truly, terribly awful—and believe me, I know the feeling all too well from my own life. But what can I actually do for you? I can't exactly meet up for a coffee right now; I'm stuck at the office.

It’s honestly kind of ridiculous. Look, I get it, loneliness can feel like a total weight on your chest—like you can't truly be happy until you find that person. And then I hear: "Oh, just get out there and meet someone!" Man... I'm just not that smooth. Then you run into some guy who's been in a relationship for fifteen years trying to tell me how being alone is actually fine... give me a break...
I feel like I'm just circling the drain and talking to myself here...
Anyone up for a coffee? ..I'm about to go brew one myself because this whole thing is driving me a little crazy.☕

☕ Honestly, these are all just temporary rough patches... I managed to move past my own slump by simply not obsessing over it. If you take things slow, you'll eventually get there.
The answer isn't just hanging out on a forum like this—keep your chin up, get out there with your buddies, be spontaneous... and hey, if you include a few girls in your friend group, they usually end up bringing more girls along with them.😉
