If you look at how Mercedes and Williams compared last season, it’s obvious that Mercedes has made real progress with their car. But then you have Ferrari. They went from having an uncontrollable, weak power unit and chassis last year—one that absolutely shredded its tires during races—to whatever this sudden transformation is today. Only God knows what happened.
And Bernie Ecclestone

It’s that heavy, sinking feeling you get when you realize you've walked straight into a trap... and taken the station master down with you.

Keep telling yourself that ☕
Do you really think it's just a coincidence that Bernie handed them an extra $100 million, swapped out half the crew, and brought in Sebastian Vettel?

It’s got to be incredibly tough—you walk away from Ferkan because you're convinced they won't give you a competitive car, and then what? You end up with a promising McLaren-Honda that just hits a DNF, while Ferrari takes the win.🤦

But isn't that just the whole charm of Formula 1?
I guess I couldn't stand Alonso either, but everything changed once he moved to Ferrari... I suppose the same applies to Vettel.

I’ve never been much of a Sebastian Vettel fan—and honestly, I don't see that changing anytime soon—but man, that performance was absolutely incredible, you could even call it masterful 😛
And look, it wasn't like Kimi Raikkonen was any less impressive; if he hadn't been hit by every bit of bad luck in the universe, Ferrari would've easily walked away with two drivers on that podium.
Not to mention, even if the Mercedes-Benz cars hadn't jumped into the pits so early, I really don't think the final result would have looked all that different. I mean, Vettel was out there pulling more laps on those softer tires than the Mercedes guys ever could on hards.
Meanwhile, the Williams cars just quietly slid their way into 5th and 6th place.
Carlos Sainz actually surprised me way more than Max Verstappen did, though I have to admit, Daniel Ricciardo left me feeling a little disappointed.

Thanks.😁
Since there's like, way less being said here on the forum, I guess...
But wait, why's the race running late anyway?

You think he’s running late? Honestly, knowing how things work around here, I wouldn't be surprised if we're all just sitting around waiting for absolutely nothing, but yeah, my money is on him being behind schedule.

The race is set to kick off at 3:00 PM local time, and we’re sitting here at 2:18 PM... just waiting for the madness to start.

Well, I mean, if it was supposed to kick off at 8, isn't that what the very first post in this thread actually says?
