Internet speed upgrade options?

Since I first signed up, my connection has been hovering around a measly 4 Mbps download and 0.5 Mbps upload, but over the last few days, I’ve noticed things have shifted quite a bit. Now, I’m seeing roughly 20 Mbps down and 2 Mbps up. I can't help but wonder if there’s been some kind of significant backend change or if it's just some weird glitch in the system. It’s through AT&T, and honestly, I’m hesitant to actually pick up the phone and call them about it; I wouldn't want to risk them realizing the discrepancy and throttling me back down to where I started... if it isn't broken, I guess it's better to just let it be 🙂

1. Maybe they messed up your coordinates at the AT&T hub or something, so now you're pulling someone else's data traffic instead of yours.
2. Go ask everyone in your house if they got a call from an AT&T rep asking for their private info.
3. It’s possible one of your roommates or family members was messing around on your AT&T account online and accidentally bumped up the speed.
4. Or maybe you requested a speed boost a while back, and since they finally upgraded the local infrastructure, they just flipped the switch on you.
You can jump onto your AT&T portal right now to see exactly which plan is active and check if your contract was extended—especially if you get a "yes" on point number two.
