Since I couldn't find anything helpful in the karaoke thread, I figured I'd ask here. We just picked up a Defender 155 karaoke set with those two wireless mics—everything is plugged in and ready to go, but there’s a catch. It turns out the microphone frequency is overlapping with a local radio station, so we keep getting broadcast audio bleeding into our songs. Is there any way to fix this interference? Thanks a million!

Connectivity: Radio
Operating frequency: 100 – 106 MHz
Operation range: Up to 30 m
Receiver wattage: 9,5 mW

You’re basically hitting a brick wall here. The frequency they're running on falls right in the middle of the standard FM broadcast band (88 - 108 MHz), which is strictly reserved for local radio stations.

You're out of luck—the frequency they're using falls right in the middle of the standard FM broadcast band (88 - 108 MHz), which is reserved for local radio stations.

Oh man, that's a bummer. Do you have any recommendations for a karaoke set that won't run into this kind of interference? Thanks a million!

It’s pretty simple—once you hook up the karaoke machine, you just run a radio antenna out to the T-Mobile tower, or am I totally off base?

I'm really not sure myself...🤔

Why on earth this wasn't mentioned before I bought it?!? Ugh, so frustrating!👎
