Since the mod is ghosting me, I’m taking this to the main board.

Alright, back to the immigration debate again.

So, here's the deal: user wizard of Oz gets banned from the forum—not counting his previous strikes, just pointing out he got flagged on this specific thread—yet unknown, who's been trolling the whole thing, keeps posting without a hitch. I reported him for THREE separate posts that were nothing but pure trolling (they all got deleted, so who knows if he even got a warning).

Oh, and get this: unknown actually called another user an idiot. As far as I know, that's a blatant violation of the rules, but since that post was scrubbed too, I can't tell if he caught a 45-minute timeout or what.

Don't bother asking me for links. Every single one of unknown's posts—including the ones I reported and the one where he called someone an idiot—has been wiped clean.

Can I get an explanation from the higher-ups?

I’ve finally made my way over to this forum, specifically hunting down a thread where I could ask a few questions regarding the whole immigration debate.

I’ve been following this discussion, including all the previous installments, and I honestly cannot wrap my head around what criteria user comtesse uses to just... relentlessly drone on. I actually ended up putting her on my ignore list because, frankly, I can't stomach reading that much trolling punctuated by an endless sea of ☕ emojis, but since people keep quoting her, I still end up seeing snippets of her nonsense.

I’ve also been reading through the discussions here about the New York Times editorial section and which users get banned or lose access to the NYT digital subscription for ruining debates—and truly, I am at a loss as to why comtesse is even permitted to communicate in such a manner.

Hey, mods, supermods, admins... anyone there?

Can I actually get a response on this thread?

Other people's warnings don't concern anyone else. But here we are—both participants in this thread have been flagged, though the impact felt different simply because of their prior standing before the strikes were issued.

Xi, when you find fault with someone's post, I ask that you please file an official report and specify exactly what the issue is within that report. If that process fails to yield a result, feel free to come here and provide links to the disputed posts that went unaddressed, along with a brief explanation of why they violated the rules.
