The Spaniards basically beat themselves. You just can't cough up that many turnovers and miss that many shots while still expecting to walk away with a win.
If you ask me, they played the exact opposite way of how the French handled it. They started out looking incredible, totally dominating the group stage, but once they hit the matchup against Denmark, it was nothing but an uphill battle. Meanwhile, the French guys just kept finding their rhythm, playing better and better as they moved through the knockout rounds.
Huge congrats to Poland. Taking home an unexpected medal is a massive statement heading into the EP.
