Meanwhile, we appear to be on a downward slide, struggling with a subpar goalkeeper and seeing absolutely nothing from Duvnjak. There is little point in overanalyzing this further:

I’ll admit, going with +10 was a bit much, so this time I’m predicting something more moderate—not just a trickle, but a steady +6 to 8.

Can someone who actually knows their stuff explain this to me? How on earth does playing a 6-0 defense help push the opponent's shooters further from our basket?

In that case, it has to be an aggressive 6-0 defense. But if so, we'll just be opening up space for B. Jureck, who I'm certain will exploit that intelligently.
If not him, then their wings will just cut inside.

I don't understand why Goluza doesn't run a 5-1 more often, with Duvnjak up front instead of Vori🤷

That's exactly my point, though—if you run a standard 6-0 defense, the perimeter players get so much more room to step in for those closer shots, even if it does mean the pivot is better guarded. And yeah, I'm totally with you on the 5-1 idea using Duvnjak rather than Vori, mostly because Duvnjak is just so much more mobile and aggressive in that spot, especially since we clearly struggled against the Swede when trying to defend like that.

Does it even matter why this happened or why that occurred? If someone had told me before the tournament started that we absolutely had to beat Poland and Germany/Qatar just to earn a shot at the finals, I would have said w T F.

Seriously though, I think Germany is actually legit this tournament and they could go all the way if they catch fire. If we play them like we played Brazil, we’re gonna get absolutely slaughtered... total massacre. I'm just praying we clear the Poles first so we can face them—that's the matchup I actually want to see.
