That's just painful 😢

Fresh softs versus mediums that are already 17 laps old... and the gap is barely 0.050 seconds.
Bottom line: this was a race where Rick was miles better than Vettel.

Seriously, have they no shame?🤣🤣🤣
God, what a joke.🤦

Not like I didn't see this coming. A 5-second penalty wouldn't have been enough to get him ahead of Alonso anyway.😍 😁

And did Sebastian Vettel also have fresh rubber during qualifying? 😁

George Ramos15 said:Those would be pretty heavy accusations coming from someone who just tweets nonsense for the sake of trolling. If you tell me I'm lying, it’s actually a compliment, because it means you perceive the truth as a lie—and vice versa. You've proven that plenty of times already.

Cut the crap, Tim... You still haven't answered which cosmic forces are conspiring against Hamilton in the incident I predicted this morning—and honestly, hoped for...

Jason Campbell70 said:Did I even mention Alonso when I was talking about Richard and Sebastian Vettel?
Or even when discussing the contact between Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg?

Of course not.

You're the one constantly bringing up Alonso at every single opportunity.
You're the one who is obsessed with Alonso.

Not at all. I just enjoy it when you guys whine and go silent whenever Alonso gets a decent placement that wasn't fueled by someone else's misfortune or luck... As usual, just poor driving from a mediocre driver. Oops, I guess he did benefit from Kevin Magnussen's penalty...😁

stormybadger8 said:Actually, it's not a second, it's more like a second and a half most of the time...
Sebastian Vettel was often faster in S1 and S3, but in S2 he was losing about 1-1.5 seconds, sometimes even 2. 😕
And that was constant throughout the whole race. Clearly some nasty issue with the setup, though that's hardly a surprise since he barely even drove during practice...

All in all, it went well. Honestly, I didn't expect him to be in the top 5...

I did. He was in third. If the team tactics had been different, he might have even won...

Jason Campbell70 said:How on earth does Vettel have a faster lap than Richard? 😁

Well, he drove brilliantly...

stormybadger8 said:It’s a pretty intense race, especially when you see someone dive into drivers they just got overtaken by, almost like that wild move from Venezuela 🤣
But man, this needs to be a masterful race 🙏 🤣

Yeah, pure rage. That driver is just...

stormybadger8 said:Definitely 😁

Actually, that looks more like pure clumsiness combined with some luck for Nico Rosberg...
If he did that on purpose, though, then he might actually be the greatest driver to ever live. 🙏
There's just no way someone could aim that precisely—where they're certain their own wing (which they'd definitely snap in the process) would puncture the tire of the car ahead...

For sure. The competitive fire is there, and the tension between them is only going to get worse...

What defines a great drive? Starting third and finishing fifth, while his teammate starts fifth in the exact same car and takes the win.

But what was actually wrong with his drive? It really came down to tactics and pit strategy. Honestly, Sebastian Vettel put in a solid race; he was nearly flawless out there. That move where he sliced through the pack to fight for fifth was seriously impressive. He absolutely tore through them. You can just see why he's a world champion and arguably the best driver on the grid. Most of the field had a decent outing, though I'd say Mass and Alonso struggled quite a bit...

Williams found out Massa picked up chunks of Hamilton's tire, which explains why he was deathly slow in S2...
Vettel finished right behind Hamilton, and honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if his car was also littered with tire debris (especially given that inexplicably slow S2), plus there's a good chance Alonso picked some up too since he was right behind Vettel at the time...

Bottom line? The FIA completely blew it today on every single level.

First off, Alonso should have been DQ'd right before the start or hit with a heavy penalty—even though it’s not even his fault,
but the driver and the team win together and lose together. If the team screws up this badly, unfortunately, the driver has to pay the price.

Second, they really should have thrown an SC out there after seeing all those tire fragments and pieces of Rosberg's wing scattered across the track...

Third, there's no way Magnussen deserved a 20-second penalty if Alonso—meaning Ferrari—only got 5 seconds for that absolute mess.🙄
That last part might actually be the worst of the whole damn thing.🙂

A flawless drive, yet the hotshot loses a few spots despite being in a car clearly capable of winning. 🙏🙏🙏

And I see you couldn't help yourself again—had to mention Alonso, didn't you? 😍

All in all, the FIA really dropped the ball today across the board.

First off, Alonso should have been DQ'd right before the start or hit with a heavy penalty—even though he isn't even remotely to blame. But in this sport, the driver and the team win and lose together.

Second, they absolutely should have thrown out an SC after seeing that much rubber and pieces of Rosberg's wing scattered all over the track...

Third, there is no way Magnussen deserved a 20-second penalty if Alonso—or rather, Ferrari—only got 5 seconds for that mess. That decision was honestly pathetic. It's just terrible. 🙄

Magnussen was unfairly penalized...

And I see you just couldn't help yourself again. You had to bring up Alonso. 😍

Strategy and pit stops were the deciding factor here. Can't you see that the two Red Bull drivers were actually running different strategies? And honestly, there was no way they were winning if those two heavyweights hadn't collided right at the start. Ricciardo capitalized on that, and Raikkonen did too. Bottas put in a solid drive, but Alonso’s performance was an absolute disaster—just so I can pile on more criticism for your favorite driver. He was definitely at his worst against Massa; in fact, he actually drove worse than Massa did.

There you go again, obsessed with Alonso. 😍

How is Vettel to blame for failing to capitalize on the collision between the top two drivers while sitting in third? It's a total scam.

If it had taken Alonso another 40 seconds to overtake him in the final standings, Magnussen would have been slapped with a 40-second penalty too.

Really, there's no need to overexplain the logic here.

Jason Campbell70 said:And you're back at it again with this obsession over Alonso. 😍

Who’s actually to blame here? Is it really on Vettel for failing to capitalize when the two leaders collided? He was sitting right there in third, just waiting for an opening that never came. Honestly, the whole thing feels like a total scam.

Just look at that pit window timing. It’s wild how much that strategy boost helped Ricciardo, while Vettel basically bled time every single time he had to dive into the pits. Everything just lined up perfectly for Ricciardo... meanwhile, his fifth engine is already back at Renault for repairs, so he’ll probably be dropping ten spots on the grid for the next race. These rules are such a joke. Alonso actually had a real shot at something there, but he just couldn't capitalize on it. That's why Raikkonen was able to pull it off.

stormybadger8 said:He got hit with a penalty that was way too harsh, even if you can't say the call was completely baseless.
Basically, if Ferrari deserved that five-second penalty, then Magnussen definitely earned his one-second penalty. 😁

He didn't deserve any of it, honestly. It was all pretty straightforward. He drove an incredible race, yet that Spanish scam artist just keeps waving his hands around and whining about it. Once again, he managed to benefit from everyone else's misfortune. Then there’s Massa. I used to think he was terrible, though I wasn't even sure if he was truly in the hunt today since we barely saw him out there. But then you see the investigation results showing that the debris from Hamilton's tire actually messed with his car, and suddenly he doesn't look quite as bad as I originally thought. There was also that weird detail regarding the strip of rubber stuck to the antenna on Rosberg's car. That was a legitimate issue. They really should have cleaned the track immediately, but I suppose that would have just played right into Hamilton's hands again. Still, I get where the race organizers are coming from—trying to clear an entire track is a massive job. They should have just pulled Hamilton in right away to stop him from cluttering the circuit. They ought to have shown him the black flag and tried to clean up whatever they could before the whole track was completely fouled up.

The chaos has officially begun. 🤣

Man, look at the face on Rosberg. 🙏🤣
I bet Ham is about to lose his mind now that he’s been told it was intentional. Honestly, he deserves it after that whole mess back in Canada. 😁

I’m dying to know which clown among those three Mercedes bosses—who clearly can't even agree on who's actually in charge—made this call. 😍

Meanwhile, I bet Brawn is just sitting back, watching the fireworks, thinking, "Serves you right. This is what happens when you don't have one actual leader running the show." 😍

Sure, everything has been going his way all season long. 😍

Pit stops, motivation, varying tactics, mechanical failures... you guys have listed enough variables to write a whole book.

And if he’s worse than Richard? Well, that’s hardly a coincidence.

Of course he isn't better, but he has been more successful IN THIS SEASON. I've already told you how ridiculous you sound—you'd be saying the exact same nonsense if you were talking about Hill and Senna back in '94. I suppose you would have argued Hill was the superior driver over Senna then too... 😂 It's the same logic here...

Just look at the engine situation and what kind of power unit Vettel is running (one engine is already being repaired at Renault) and count the number of breakdowns. Vettel wasn't even out there during practice... And don't forget those old chassis issues... Are you seriously trying to tell me there weren't any failures? Qualifying showed Vettel had the edge, and he was definitely better in the rain. No argument there...

Another flawed comparison from you. 🙂

Senna passed away during the third race, and he didn't even finish either of the two preceding races that season.

Unlike Richard and the scam.
They actually finish races together—today is just the latest example.

Neither of them had technical issues, yet Richard thoroughly slapped that four-time scam.
Just like he's been slapping him all season long.

And nobody cares about excuses.

Except maybe Vettel's fans.
And the fans of the Finnish scam.
They certainly stay busy on that ALO/RAI thread. 🙂
