Hey everyone,

I’m looking for some guidance regarding a PC build—just the tower itself, mind you—that I plan to use primarily for playing World of Warcraft. My main goal is to run everything on ultra settings while maintaining a decent frame rate... ideally somewhere in the 60-70+ FPS range during 3v3 arena matches. I don't really participate in those massive 25+ player raids, which helps, I suppose. Is a budget of $4500-$1667 sufficient to meet these requirements, or should I be prepared to invest a bit more?

This setup is more than enough for ultra settings:
1 x Intel Core i7-series desktop (3.5GHz, 14MB, 95W, AM3+) box
1 x Patriot Signature DDR3 1600Mhz, 4GB, CL11
1 x MSI MAG series motherboard
1 x Seagate BarraCuda hard drive (3.5", 500GB, 32MB, SATA III-600)
1 x Samsung DVD drive SATA Bulk Black 24x
1 x Zalman Z3+, USB3.0 black
1 x Fortron Raider S 550W, 80+ SILVER
1 x LC POWER LC-CC-95, Socket 775/1155/1156/AMD
1 x NVIDIA GeForce GTX series 3GB DDR5 Graphics card total Black edition

Total: $1573
Assembly and shipping are on the house. If you're looking to maximize your budget, grab 8GB RAM and you'll be all set to go $1667.

How bad? 😕
All those builds were overkill for World of Warcraft before they were ever considered bad.

I guess I was being way too harsh on Intel 😉

Anyway, yeah... this rig will definitely crush World of Warcraft, but I’m mostly talking about what makes more sense given the actual game selection and system requirements out there.

It looks like the MS CONQUEROR's product page actually lists USB 3.0 support, which puts it a step ahead of the ENDEAVOR

Timothy Kim60 said:At least that MS CONQUEROR model actually lists USB 3.0 on its spec sheet, unlike the ENDEAVOR.

It's all the same garbage. 😬

Thanks a million—I spent some time digging into what you all mentioned, weighing the pros and cons, so I'll likely have a decision made pretty soon. Thanks again for the solid advice 😁
