Exactly, I honestly don't get why people constantly downplay the "average guy."
An empty Yankee Stadium is the best proof that people actually get it. The issue is, they understand, but they aren't going to show up to Yankee Stadium. That’s how they show their protest. They aren't going to rise up, march in the streets, or fight actively. For that, you kind of need a stronger emotional spark. It feels like people have just put their love for the club into hibernation; they're just waiting for things to somehow—any way possible—get back on track before they jump back in.
And in my opinion, it isn't because "we're always first" or "because we keep losing in Europe."
Look, it’s simple: everyone sees what the MLS is like right now. It’s a rigged league, so much so that it makes people sick. You have one club paying its own staff and even covering its own damn ticket takers, while another club has the city paying their employees, covering all their competition costs, and then tossing them an extra 40 million—or 20, whatever—on top of that.
Where's the fun in the sport? Where's the fair play? Where are the level playing fields?
That's the crux of it. The only thing needed to truly heal soccer is fair play. Everyone gets the same officiating, and everyone receives the same amount of cash from the city—or nobody gets anything at all, doesn't matter. If everyone's costs are covered, then no one's costs are covered.
Don't give me that. I actually admire the Bad Boys and the whole Chicago vibe for this, I really do. It honestly scares me thinking about what would happen if this creep were in Miami. Though, it probably would be the same; you'd see success for the first couple of years until people finally realized...
Though, being as realistic and objective as I can, I think that as hard as it might be to remove him once the masses rally around "results," it would actually be easier to get rid of him once the tide turns. Man, it's hard to say, but I feel like the Boston Red Sox are loved more than the LA Lakers... if you look at those East and West stands.
Either way, you guys are in a tough spot, and I honestly don't see a way out unless he gets hit by a bus, or time just does its thing—society matures, and that fan who put their love for the club "on hold" realizes they have a personal social responsibility to step up. I mean, even regular people, even those who don't know a thing about offsides, need to realize that this affects them—that every single anomaly in society matters—and they should help wherever and however they can.
Until then... we'll just watch. Hang in there...
But there is a silver lining here. Come what may, one day, God willing, you'll look back on all of this with pride, just like you look back on the canjugin era if you were on the right side of history...
My club is losing, it sucks, but hey, the dream is still alive. Maybe you guys should try looking for some positives too. 😁
PS. To that guy muhammed—you're wrong. Just because Mamic stays after a terrible league season doesn't mean a single loss won't affect him. It depends on timing and money. And yeah, losses against the LA Lakers definitely go against him. Given what's known about the finances—like how he just grabbed some cash from Romania—I reckon his next season will be a "make or break" situation. He's dancing on the edge, which just shows how incompetent the man really is; despite having this monopoly, he can't even guarantee stable operations enough to make sure they see Europe three years in a row.
