Hey everyone, how’s it going?

So, I recently finished installing macOS Mojave on my machine, and I’ve run into a bit of a headache that I can't quite wrap my head around, so I was hoping some of you tech experts might be able to point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!

I’m honestly stumped because it feels like gigabytes of storage have just vanished into thin air from my primary drive. My setup is split into two partitions, C and D; everything looks perfectly fine on the D drive, but the C drive is telling me I only have 108 GB free out of 273 GB. This is strange because I haven't installed anything significant on this computer yet, aside from the OS itself and one single game that only takes up about 4.5 GB.

After doing a little digging online, I stumbled upon a scanning tool that checks for various system files, and it led me to discover a bunch of mysterious files that are taking up a massive amount of space. These files range anywhere from 2 GB to as much as 19 GB each, so I’m attaching a screenshot here in hopes that someone can help me make sense of this, since I'm definitely not a computer expert.

My main question is, is it safe for me to just go ahead and delete these files?
