It’s all pretty much in the same ballpark, honestly—I’d probably just go with the one you picked... mainly because I've always had a soft spot for Nvidia, nothing else really to it.

Can I just grab the graphics card (Nvidia GTX 1060) or do I need something else too?
(Is there much difference between MSI, Asus, and the rest? I was thinking about picking up an MSI Nvidia GTX 1060 at Extreme Digital.

If you've set your sights on an MSI gtx 1060 then this is definitely the smarter play.

I have a few questions. Basically, I'm currently running an MSI GeForce GTX960 gaming 2 g and I'm thinking about maybe upgrading to the MSI Nvidia GTX 1060 gaming x, 3GB. Now, does that actually make sense—how big would the jump be? Also, what kind of value could I get for my current card? It's less than a year old.
Larry Ortiz5 said:The 1060 is significantly more powerful than what you're running right now. If you're sitting there with a 1080p monitor, it would definitely be worth the jump so you can actually crank everything up to max settings 😁 that card is really the sweet spot for 1080p
Just look at some benchmarks and make your own call... http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1744?vs=1771
Regarding your current card, I was just browsing through Craigslist, and people are asking anywhere from $900-$333 upwards... honestly, I'm not entirely sure what you could actually get for it. Maybe somewhere around that figure, but anything higher than that is a long shot.
Also, what CPU are you rocking? Just want to make sure you don't run into a bottleneck once you upgrade that GPU...
EDIT: Don't bother with the 3GB version; go for the 6GB one instead..
