The bottom line is that the newer models aren't worth nearly as much as the $400 (since that 1650 was a massive hit back in $433), yet you’re going to end up paying an absolute fortune for it 😁

Timothy Kim60 said:Basically, the description implies this thing isn't worth even $400—mostly because that GTX 1650 4 GB XLR8 gaming Overclocked was flying off the shelves back in $433—but you'll still end up paying through the nose for it 😁

So, I guess I'm just selling a kidney then. You can totally live with one, right? 😉

Maybe you could think of it as a coincidence—enough for them to take over, and then they can just get rid of us.

Aargh! 😬 I bought this card brand new for less than $500, and now I see it popping up in an eBucks newsletter being touted as a "great deal" at $2000 🤦 :

If I had a decent integrated GPU, I’d have ditched my RX 580 already. I really shouldn't have gotten rid of that extra RX 550—I could've just dumped a couple hundred bucks into the RX 580 and been playing games at a local pub.

Do you think I could sell an RX 580, 4GB?

He might, since prices at Best Buy are absolutely brutal—but not for miners, more like some pathetic gamer

Should I grab an RX 560/80 4GB or maybe a GTX 1060 3/6 GB from ASUS or MSI—paired with an i3-8100?

Just for those who aren't up to speed, ASUS has announced once again that they’ll be hiking up their GPU prices. What happened last time they pulled this stunt, maybe a month or two ago? Every single manufacturer followed suit and raised their prices right along with them. So, yeah, it's the same old song and dance 🍿 ☕

Right now, the price of RTX 3070 is hovering around $1,000 to $1,100 both here and abroad, and even at those rates, stock sells out instantly. You might find something slightly cheaper here and there, but trying to snag one is basically a suicide mission...

I think anyone planning on building a PC this year is going to change their mind.

Zachary Nguyen2 said:I honestly don't think anyone planning on building a PC this year is actually going to pull it off.

Things aren't looking up anytime soon, even through all of 2022. We've heard whispers that production might finally scale up in 2023, but let's be real—it all hinges on unpredictable factors like shifting pandemic restrictions, the influx of new gamers, and the sheer volume of crypto miners hogging the supply.

And here I was, thinking about dropping some cash $1000 on a decent rig in a few months...

steelfalcon71 said:Things aren't looking up for the rest of 2022. We won't see any real production increases until 2023 at the earliest. It all still comes down to how COVID measures play out, the number of new gamers hitting the market, and the crypto miners.

I think it all comes down to crypto. If prices stay steady or start climbing again, we won't see any GPUs on the market because miners will just scoop them all up.
Aaron Evans2 said:I was actually thinking about investing. $1000 Thinking about putting together a solid PC in two or three months.

I'm not really sure what kind of graphics card you can pick up with a budget like that.

Maybe the 4650G is a decent way to start 😛

I think right now is actually the best time to grab one of those Ryzen processors with integrated graphics, assuming you can even find them in stock.

Zachary Nguyen2 said:I honestly think it all boils down to the crypto market. If prices stay steady or start climbing again, gamers are going to be out of luck because miners will just sweep up every single card on the shelf.

I'm not even sure what kind of GPU you can realistically find within that budget range.

Saying it's all because of miners is a massive oversimplification; it’s easy to point fingers there, but there are way more moving parts to this than people realize.

Prices have jumped again—anyone who managed to snag an RX 6700 XT at the old rates really hit the jackpot. They’re finally starting to align with the price of RTX 3060ti and the price of RTX 3070. It was really just a matter of time before this happened... ☕

Honestly, screw all of this—I might just jump ship and switch to consoles instead!🐔
