Double standards: Why do liberals always get a pass while conservatives get the blame?

Like the title says; there’s this unwritten rule over on the Politics subforum where you basically get handed a red card just for using the word 'leftist.'

On the flip side, I’ve reached out to the moderators and supermods a handful of times with one straightforward question:
Why isn't there the same level of enforcement—and the same penalties—when people throw around terms like 'nationalist,' 'religious fanatic,' or whatever else?

The rules have to be applied equally across the board, right?
It either goes for everyone, or nobody gets flagged at all.
That’s just basic logic and fairness...

Like I said—I’ve already dropped this question across several different threads in this topic.
I even sent a direct message to the moderator about the policy side of things.
I tried starting a dedicated thread for it too, but since nobody’s biting, I guess there’s no point.

So, for the sake of argument, I’m sticking with the term 'leftist.'

And another thing—if throwing around terms like 'trash' isn't against the rules, does that mean
slurs like 'redneck,' 'hillbilly,' or 'cracker' are fair game too?
Just to be clear, none of those should be used—period—but I’m talking about the principle here.
It’s pretty simple: either we enforce the rules across the board, or we don't.

I’m going to start flagging any use of localized slang or derogatory terms whenever I run into people using them to label their conversation partners.

I'll try to get with the head moderators to see if we can implement a policy where any kind of labeling gets penalized.

I've reported a handful of posts like this myself—nothing, though. Zero reaction.

I also called out the unauthorized use of terms like "Catholic Taliban" and its various iterations, both in the Politics section and across the entire forum.
The forum rules are crystal clear: attacking someone based on their religion is strictly prohibited.
So, there's no ambiguity here: it needs to be penalized, every single time.!

Any kind of labeling like that should definitely get a warning, regardless of which side it's coming from. If something slips past the mods, just report the post. There's no question about it—the stuff you mentioned needs to be penalized too.
