So, I dropped a joke post and ended up getting a partial ban. Basically, Gregory Turner71 is playing dumb and pretending he doesn't see how obvious the joke was, which is just ridiculous, but he’s actually doing it...

Even if he did realize I was joking—which, let's be honest, he totally did—it still makes zero sense why he'd hand out a penalty for a bit of humor...

Look, Gregory Turner71, just show me the post that got me flagged...

Anyway, I’m sticking to my guns regarding my previous appeals. The mods over on the religion board seem to be just waiting for any excuse to wipe out all the believers. The second you relax a little or start messing around, boom—you’ve got Gregory Turner71, who’s basically been lying in wait just to kick you off. I guess Gregory Turner71 has never forgiven me for my valid criticisms, and maybe my writing just gets under his skin, so he was just looking for a chance to get even...

What Gregory Turner71 is pulling here is honestly slimy, and probably the worst thing happening on this forum, which usually runs pretty smoothly...

Please, Gregory Turner71, just show me which specific post triggered my partial ban.

Look, without getting bogged down in the specifics of why you were partially restricted, it’s never just about one single post—it usually comes down to someone's entire body of work within a certain PDF. You really need to look much deeper than just that one instance. 🙂 As for anything else, just hang tight and wait for Gregory Turner71 to weigh in.

rustydrifter10, if you're going to jump to Gregory Turner71's defense over this, you’re basically proving you’re cut from the same cloth...

There isn't really any other way to look at it, honestly. It's just pure spite. And obviously, the real motive has nothing to do with that specific post. The whole point is to get rid of anyone who dares to challenge someone's little religious PDF manifesto, which is basically just an atheist propaganda pamphlet. Well, I'm one of those people who gets in the way. But I'm actually curious to see what kind of nonsense Gregory Turner71 has cooked up to counter me—if he even has anything—because last time he was attacking me, he just hid behind silence...

So, you guys just nuked my post where I actually showed what the post was that got me partially banned?

And what exactly counts as covering up evidence just so you can defend Gregory Turner71's totally indefensible stance?

Look, if I try to show the post Gregory Turner71 penalized me for again—which is absolutely vital to show, like, the WHOLE POINT —you're probably just going to slap me with a ban and claim I'm trolling. But how am I trolling when this is the core of the whole issue? If I show it, then EVERYONE gets to see exactly what kind of nonsense we're dealing with here...

It’s just a way to get rid of me while backing up Gregory Turner71 on something that makes zero sense. Honestly, the saddest part is that you'll eventually try to force some kind of guilt on me, trying to make me out to be the bad guy. You'll probably dig through a hundred of my old posts just to find something to throw in my face, even if you have to go back decades. But I haven't done anything wrong, I swear...

I haven't done anything to hurt religion, nor with that specific post, or any other post from way back when, and that pretty much destroys any legitimate reason for my partial ban ...

That's the bottom line. Gregory Turner71 doesn't have one single honest reason to penalize me...

Here's an example of a beautiful post. The genocide of non-believers is a good genocide...

Gregory Turner71, this is just getting way too greasy...

I was being sarcastic when I replied to Escobar, and then I actually went back and explained myself in the next post. Now, Gregory Turner71 is acting like he doesn't get it. Honestly, Gregory Turner71, I don't know how you aren't embarrassed to be doing this. I already made my point on this. The punishment I’m talking about isn't specifically targeted at atheists. There’s a difference, too, between an atheist living their life today and someone who turns out to be an atheist during a hypothetical apocalypse. It just isn't the same thing, I guess....

Well... here we go.

I don't know, maybe I'm just reading too much into it, but there’s something about how people talk about faith that feels incredibly hollow lately. It’s like everyone is just performing, you know? They go through the motions, quoting the Bible, acting all holy, but there’s zero substance behind it. It’s all just noise. I was thinking about what rustydrifter10 said earlier, and honestly, I think they hit a nerve. People love to act righteous until things actually get difficult. Then the mask slips. You see the real them—the greed, the ego, the constant need to be right. It reminds me of those stories about Sodom and Gomorrah, where everything looks fine on the surface right before the whole thing collapses under its own weight. Gregory Turner71 seems to think there's a deeper connection here, but I guess I disagree. I think we're just watching a slow-motion train wreck of modern morality. We pretend to care about truth, but we really just care about looking good in front of our neighbors. It's exhausting to watch. Maybe I'm being too cynical, but I can't help it. Everything feels a bit fake.

The Bible actually contains a prophecy called Revelation, where it says God is going to send fiery riders to wipe out a third of humanity. I honestly believe that’s coming. Look, as a believer, I don't view God's actions as crimes, genocides, or murders—those are just labels I'd use if some actual humans were doing it out of pure malice. That said, I do respect an atheist's right to argue and call those same things genocides or crimes and all that. In my previous post, I was being sarcastic toward one atheist who called the Book of Revelation a genocide, and I told him:Escobar, that’s one hell of a genocide....

But I guess Gregory Turner71 wouldn't have any trouble twisting that into something slippery if he felt like it.

If Gregory Turner71 decides to single me out over this, then I guess he’s just doing it because I actually believe that direct punishments from God, like the ones laid out in the Bible, aren't some kind of evil act. Basically, he’ll be picking on me just because I'm a believer... maybe.

It’s like being handed a participation trophy just for saying I agree with wiping out Sodom and Gomorrah, or maybe if I said I was down with the whole plague of the firstborn in Egypt. It's ridiculous.

I'm looking to get some partial payments cleared. And more importantly, I’m warning Gregory Turner71 to quit the slander. He needs to back off. I'm not exactly some anonymous ghost on here, you know. This kind of twisting my words and pulling things out of context is just straight-up slander, and honestly, I’m done putting up with it. You can tell how unbelievable Gregory Turner71 is being by the fact that he didn't even give me a warning for those posts. He didn't even attempt to defend the specific post that got me flagged in the first place; instead, he just ran away from the issue to nitpick other stuff. And on top of all that, he went ahead and slandered me by claiming I support genocide... I guess that's just how it goes now.

Look, I can’t stop atheists from labeling everything in the Bible as genocide. That’s their right, I guess. But they can't force me to call them that either, and they certainly shouldn't be using my sarcasm as some kind of "confession." Gregory Turner71 is trying to pull exactly that. He’s just looking for any excuse to get rid of me, really. Maybe it's because he can't stand the fact that my complaints actually caused a tiny bit of movement in the religious landscape—which, let's face it, was pretty much stagnant before I started speaking up.

I am not entirely sure if it is overly syrupy, but I do know that Ego tends to dislike posts like these—or any posts that carry a scent of hatred, hellfire, or similar themes—especially when such rhetoric originates from believers. 🤷

Arthur Flores2 said:I was merely making a sarcastic reference to Escobar's post,

And why the need for justification? 🤷 It isn't as though you received a partial ban because of that specific controversial post; rather, from my perspective, it was due to your style of contributing to the Religion subforum. As I have observed, lately, most of your comments have been confined to just one single thread. Quite simply, your writing style does not align with the current ethos of the Religion subforum, and that is all there is to it. 🤷 As you are aware, that section is diligently moderated by atheists (not counting Striker). When I use the word "diligently," I am being entirely sincere and not at all ironic or sarcastic (do remember that you were penalized for such things yourself). From their viewpoint, your contributions are problematic; meanwhile, remarks like "God-deluded" or "fanatics of God" are permitted on a subforum where it is perfectly natural for believers who believe in God to exist. It is, as one user put it, entirely a matter of perception. To them, those comments are acceptable, whereas your way of writing is not. 🤷

If you ask me, you have my full support in returning to the Religion subforum. I truly believe you did nothing to deserve a partial ban. There are many other users there who ought to have received permanent bans long ago for constant provocation, yet their posts are excused as mere "criticism of religion," which allows them continued access. 🤷 As long as believers are labeled as "God-deluded" , that subforum will remain a void. With all due respect to the moderators, they aren't doing much to improve the atmosphere in that section. They likely contribute unintentionally to the perception that "religious people" are "God-deluded fanatics," allowing such language to pass while believing they are performing their duties well. In any case, I would not wish to be in their shoes, but I would very much like to see you return to the Religion subforum. 🙂
