First off, do I really look like your personal assistant to you?
Second, the fact that you’re asking me to point out the specific post pretty much speaks volumes about your moderation skills.

Sarah Doyle54 said:1. I haven't insulted any believers, whether directly or indirectly.
2. I didn't use my moderator status to influence discussions.
3. Therefore, I have no intention of apologizing.

And are you planning on apologizing for maliciously misinterpreting everything I wrote?

That’s just not true.
On the ZK, it's clearly possible to decide that something doesn't exist or simply never happened, and then try to pass that off as the truth. But no matter how hard anyone tries to make it stick, it just isn't reality.

Let’s stop playing games here.

First off, I’m done engaging with Mume’s constant spinning of things. For those who missed it: there was a thread where I mentioned that people who are easily swayed are basically just mindless sheep, and apparently, that was interpreted as me hating on religious people. I literally included two disclaimers, and even the other people in that thread told him he was overreacting and that my point was perfectly clear.

Secondly, regarding Megan Torres' response. We looked at JPK's post where he takes a subtle jab at A. border, and yeah, it was a low blow. But like I said, we don't ban border posts. If A. border hadn't responded by basically saying "you're an idiot and my dad has a better car than yours," he wouldn't have been cardboarded. Bottom line: we decided the post didn't warrant a ban, and we aren't going to start banning people just to be "even." In a more strictly moderated sub, he would've been gone. Also, Medin's post where he claims pilgrims are uneducated isn't grounds for a ban either. I don't agree with him—I think it's a huge generalization and honestly pretty easy to debunk—but I can't just ban people for having shitty opinions.

If you don't have anything else to add, I think we can call this discussion over. 🤷

Sarah Doyle54 said:Let's stop pretending we don't know what's going on here.

First off, I’m done engaging with Mume's constant spinning of facts. For those who might be out of the loop: there was a previous post where I mentioned that people who are easily swayed are basically just mindless sheep, and that somehow got interpreted as me attacking believers. I included two different disclaimers, and honestly, everyone else in the thread explicitly told him he was overreacting and clearly understood my point.

Secondly, regarding Megan Torres's response. We looked at JPK's post, which was a subtle dig at A. border, and yeah, it was definitely a low blow. However, like I said before, we don't ban posts from A. border. If A. border hadn't responded by saying something like "you're an idiot" or "my dad has a better car than yours," he wouldn't have been carded either. Ultimately, the verdict is that the post doesn't warrant being carded, and we shouldn't be banning people just for the sake of reciprocity. In a more strictly moderated sub-forum, sure, it might get carded, but not here. Then there's Medin's post, where he claims pilgrims are uneducated—that isn't grounds for a ban either. I personally disagree with him and think it's a broad generalization that's pretty easy to debunk, but I simply can't go around carding people for opinions like that.

If you don't have anything else to contribute, I think we can wrap this discussion up. 🤷

Actually, we can't, because you aren't a moderator here and you don't have the authority to close or moderate this debate.
And just to clear up any confusion, the exact term I used was "empty-headed, gullible sheep."

And just so we're all clear, the actual phrase was "empty-headed, easily led sheep."

And here is the rest of that sentence.

Sarah Doyle54 said:Off-topic, but it’s necessary. ☕

Those empty-headed, easily led sheep are basically responsible for most of the nonsense happening globally—they've been stalling human progress one regressive step at a time since... well, forever. Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking about religious people specifically, but rather people from all walks of life who just can't seem to think for themselves. *Spits.*

So, I guess all of us who took that post as an insult to believers are just total idiots, while you guys (the moderators) are the only ones with any sense.
That’s exactly what I’m talking about—it really gets to the heart of why moderation on ZK is such a headache.

Let’s get this straight. I’m responding to Persephone’s comment about how we don't need to judge masses so harshly—and by "masses," I clearly mean the general public, not religious believers. I even explicitly stated in my first sentence that I was going off-topic, and then added a disclaimer at the end just to be safe. Yet, despite all that, you still manage to twist my words into some kind of attack on faith. I already told you in our argument that it isn't what you think it is. Isn't that enough?

I honestly don't get it.

There. Fine. I apologize to Mume for misinterpreting my post. 🤷

brightcrane56 said:So, basically, anyone who took that post as an insult to believers is just an idiot, and you moderators are the only ones with any sense.
Well, that’s exactly what I’m getting at—that right there is the core issue with how this whole board is moderated.

Why would they be idiots? Look, there was a disclaimer clearly stated—you can agree with it or not, but it was plain as day—so if people still read that post and think it's an attack on faith, they could be anything from being impulsive or distracted to being genuinely malicious, totally checked out, dealing with ADHD, or just completely illiterate...

The possibilities are endless.

That’s exactly what I’m talking about—that right there is the core issue with how this board is moderated.

Look, since the post explicitly states who it's directed at, if you're interpreting it differently—or if you feel personally attacked by it—that’s on you.

And since you're just being unoriginal and trolling at this point, I don't really have anything else to say. I was just trying to clarify which specific post you were referring to. My bad, of course 😁 but there isn't actually any wrongdoing here because Sarah Doyle54 wasn't insulting believers in that thread.

Anyway, have a good one.

Instead of replying to everyone one by one, just head over to the main thread and take a look at the absolute circus the moderators are running regarding the Lady and everything else. It’s still happening, and they're doing it all under the heavy-handed protection of the mod team.
Of course, then it’s my fault for "misunderstanding" the post and being a troll. Honestly, kids... you guys are just kids...

Megan Torres said:I get carded the second I address someone directly with an insult, yet JPK doesn't get a single warning even though he was loud and clear when he called me stupid.

Look, JPK didn't actually launch a direct insult. His posts might not have been pretty—honestly, they were skating right on the edge of what's allowed under loose moderation—but they weren't outright verbal attacks. I’d suggest to the moderators that if they're planning on tightening the rules for this specific thread following those recent comments, they should start carding posts like that.

Megan Torres said:Eugene's sarcasm didn't get him carded.

There really isn't anything in Eugene's post that warrants a warning. Honestly, I don't think there's any need to demand that every single thing phrased impolitely gets someone carded, regardless of which side of the debate they're on. Eugene has already been carded plenty of times for his own posts when he went too far.

brightcrane56 said:Of course you didn't, you insulted the believers directly.

She didn't insult anyone; please, just read the post with a bit of understanding. And stop trying to twist things and provoke people, I know you're better than that.

I've read through this entire thread, and honestly, I don't see any issue with how it's being moderated, nor do I see any reason why we even need this specific topic. Seriously.
