Is anyone else dealing with these relentless telemarketing machines? Personally, I’m getting at least five calls a day on my landline—either people trying to sell me something or those annoying "you've won a prize" scams—but I’m busy trying to get home for dinner. It’s constant interference. However, the absolute worst offenders have to be the folks over at AT&T; their constant pitching for DirecTV is infuriating. They call practically every single day pushing that service. Even after I explicitly told them the first time that I wasn't interested, they just kept calling back. Every time they ring, I tell them again that I don't want it and demand they stop, yet here we are, a full year later, with the same daily calls for DirecTV. You answer the phone thinking it might be something important, only to have them push their services on you; frankly, I’d love to send them a very strongly worded private message and shut them down for good. This persistent harassment is a massive waste of time and incredibly aggravating. Shouldn't there be stricter laws to ban this kind of behavior?

It’s the same routine every single day. I mean, how long does your day actually feel like it lasts? 🙂

I actually got a call like that once from some random telemarketing outfit—I think it was one of those big cable companies—and I just politely asked the lady to please, please just wipe my number from their list and stop calling because the constant interruptions were getting to be a bit much. And honestly? They actually stopped calling 🤣
. It's funny how that works sometimes, I guess. Anyway, you can always check with your service provider—like if you’re with AT&T or something—to see if they have an option to block those unwanted numbers or put you on a do-not-call list
.

It feels like they’re hounding me every single day. AT&T, specifically, acts as if they can just force their DirecTV package down your throat by sheer persistence—it's a brilliant strategy, isn't it? I've seen those memes online, including that one video where a guy gets a call from sales and pretends to be a police officer at a crime scene, only to end up being accused of complicity in a murder. It’s absolutely absurd.

Just say thanks and hang up the phone... honestly, it’ll be over faster than if you spend ten minutes cursing them out...

Hey, what's up?

If they're calling you every single day, then they're probably calling everyone else too. But honestly? That’s just not how things should be done.

They call me every single day—if I actually get two or three days of peace, they just make up for it by hitting me with two or three calls in
one go. It’s always some different company, either about phone services or
some nonsense about winning prizes. For a few months, I tried being polite. I listened.
I said thank you and then declined, but after that, I just started saying "no thanks" right away and
hung up—even begging them to stop calling... but honestly, it doesn't work.
Being nice is useless. Today, I’m mid-cooking, lunch is boiling over, one kid is crying, the other is yelling
from the bathroom, the phone rings, and of course, it's some prize from New York... enough.
I am totally done with being polite and following etiquette and saying thank you. What kind of business is this anyway? Who
even does this and why??? What "prizes"? These calls are incredibly irritating; who even falls for
the scam that someone is just handing out prizes for nothing? It's awful.

It’s fixed anyway—honestly, it feels like a total waste at this point—so why not just cancel the subscription?

Or when they come looking for a specific person, you just tell them that they passed away... 😉
