How do you find love? Well, look, maybe you just start selling indulgences—you know, like those confession surveys. If you don't feel like waiting three days for some penance, just pay up and consider your sins wiped clean. ☕

Walter Taylor76 said:Personally, I don't find the ads that annoying. It was just a bit much because it popped up right when I opened the site. If we're going to be flooded with ads, shouldn't we see some actual improvements? This vBulletin version you guys are running is four years old... and this theme is just one of those free ones you get out of the box.

From what I gather, the ad revenue covers the deficits and helps fund the rest of the site. So, it’s probably best to leave things as they are.
As for the layout, I don't see the need to change it. It's pretty clean and isn't too flashy. I'd personally prefer a dark mode with light text, but it is what it is.

I like that idea. It's a historically proven way to squeeze cash out of people. I'll ask Nika to take a look. 😁

The reality is that nobody else has stepped up to build a competing forum. It's easy enough to launch one, but keeping a site of this scale running isn't exactly cheap.

Just implement a membership tier that lets people view images. You could probably get plenty of support from the regulars and long-time users.😁
