I want to file a formal complaint against this moderator because her bias has been blatant for a long time now. She turns a blind eye to insults from Eric Chase12 (who’s already banned across all our forums), and his latest comment is a perfect example:
"It’s not about using the 'ignore' tool right now; this harasser and hater promised to keep bothering me about Synesis unless I threatened him with a ban. So, I’m asking the admins to note that he’s back to singing the same old songs and pushing the same pathetic arguments. In medicine, sometimes you solve problems by cutting them out, and this guy is a borderline case. He’s just exhausting."

He wants to "cut people out," calling on the admins to ban someone just for leaving a normal comment.
After I sent Lilla a private message about it, she basically told me she doesn't see an issue and that I should take my complaints to the admins instead.
When I tried doing things by the book before, I was the one who ended up getting banned. Apparently, I don't have the right to complain.
Or if I react directly to a post with a comeback—because the moderator takes days to respond—I’m the one who gets banned. Sure, I should have held back, but he gets off scot-free even though he started the whole thing.

I suggest that someone as biased as Lilla be stripped of her moderator privileges for the Accounting Software thread.

She turns a blind eye when users like Eric Chase12—who, by the way, is banned across all our forums—throw insults around, and the most recent example was his comment right here:

This post is getting a warning.

Terry Johnson3 said:When I tried doing that before, I was the one who ended up banned, since apparently, we aren't allowed to complain.

The way this looks is that you got flagged because you voiced a complaint—but that's not it. You got flagged because you broke the rules, just like other users did, including the very person you were complaining about.

Terry Johnson3 said:I really think someone as biased as Lilla P. should be stripped of her moderator privileges for the Accounting Software thread.

That’s just not going to happen. I pop into that thread from time to time, and yeah, I know people get into heated arguments there that occasionally cross the line, but I don't think the moderation is fundamentally broken. Honestly, you tend to go overboard sometimes too; like, remember when you jumped into that discussion where people were talking about a specific software and basically called anyone interested in using it a masochist? You might get away with a single post like that, but if you start using that kind of language repeatedly, it won't be allowed because it ends up insulting and belittling everyone else in the conversation.

ok

It looks like you think you got a warning just because you complained—you didn't. You got a warning because you broke the rules. Other users got hit with them too, including the person you were complaining about.

That’s not exactly how it went down, but let's not get bogged down arguing about last year's snow.

That’s not going to happen. I check this thread from time to time, and while I know people get into heated arguments that cross the line, I don't think the moderation is generally bad. You tend to overstep, though. For example, when a thread is specifically for people discussing a certain software, you swoop in just to call the users masochists. One post like that might slide, but if you keep using that kind of language, it's not allowed. It’s disrespectful and insults the other participants.

I agree, but the real issue is that this entire forum is biased toward one specific software. Anyone who dares to mention an alternative gets shut down or bullied. I’ll forward you examples of this whenever it happens so you can see how slow the response is—it usually just escalates into a massive flame war because management fails to put out the fire immediately.
Check out this solid debate between Michelle Gonzalez50 and me regarding what these two programs can actually do. Even then, people tried to twist my words and nitpick everything just to back Michelle Gonzalez50—mostly because they can't stop obsessing over that rival software.

You have a real habit of going overboard—like when you jump into a thread where people are just discussing a specific software, and suddenly you're calling everyone who wants to use it a total masochist. Look, one post like that might slide, but if you keep using that kind of language, it’s not okay—it's just insulting and disrespectful to everyone else trying to have a conversation.

Exactly!

Users are just having a discussion about their software, and then suddenly Pos flies in out of nowhere. Instead of actually contributing something useful, they just swoop in to trash the topic while low-key pitching their own program—then they just sit back and wait for some sucker to take the bait so they can tear down what others are talking about and hype up their own stuff!

I'm with Lilla on this one.

....
Given how biased she is, I really think Lilla should be stripped of her moderation duties for the Accounting Software thread.

Using terms like "the aforementioned"... well, if it were just me talking, maybe you admins would believe me, but there are so many other people in this thread who feel like you've been acting like you own the place. Let them speak up.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm not active on all the different boards—just this one—and honestly, outside of our little back-and-forth, I haven't really been targeted. Lilla keeps me in line regularly, but that's by design; we have an understanding. I'm smart enough to know when I'm overstepping, so I actually asked her to give me a "tap on the wrist" whenever I go too far. I know my temper can be a bit much sometimes. It's easy to prove, though—anyone willing to look at the ban logs can see. And I'll admit it: Lilla always penalizes me for a good reason, and I don't argue; I just learn from it.

But that's where the difference lies. You? You're just stubborn—how many years has it been since you started breathing down everyone's necks?!? These younger users don't realize you've been acting this way forever. They don't know that your eyes bloodshot and your blood pressure hits 190 the second you see anything regarding Synesis. Over time, it’s turned into this sort of obsession where you jump down the throat of every single comment or discussion involving Synesis—even though you've proven more times than I can count that you don't have a clue what you're talking about. I know it hurts that nobody is singing praises for your software, or that everyone stays quiet about it, but hey, that's life.

I'm not going to dig up all your dirty insults and attacks; you've already made your point with this little pamphlet against Lilla. Honestly, you deserve five times the bans you've actually received. It might be worth looking in a mirror and thinking about where this path is leading you. Everything on this forum is part-serious, part-fun, and there’s really no point in ending up in a Brooklyn jail over Synesis. But if you keep trying to compare your Fićek setup to a Mercedes... who knows? It's not something to play around with!

Oh, and one more thing: Lilla, thank you for understanding me and keeping me in check—even if both this "aforementioned" pest and I lose our cool occasionally. I'm working on it. Also, I have to ask: did this "aforementioned" guy seriously start a whole separate thread titled "Attack Lilla"?!? What a true gentleman... really. This isn't even the first time, either; I've got plenty of notes on his ridiculous outbursts, but there's really no point in bringing them up now...

I'm hoping I can be more blunt here.
Eric Chase12 said:"The guy in question"... if it were just me, maybe the admins would buy it, but there are enough people on this thread who you've treated like subordinates that they should speak up.

Look, just because a few of you are getting paid by the big corporations to praise this garbage program on forums doesn't make you right. As the saying goes, when everyone thinks exactly the same way, nobody is actually thinking.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm not all over the web, just here—and aside from dealing with you, I rarely get heat elsewhere.

This isn't about you (though it clearly would suit your ego), it's about how this PDF forum is moderated. And don't lie about not being active elsewhere; it’s easy to check your ban history. You're just a massive egoist with zero respect for anyone else.

The younger crowd doesn't realize you've always been like this. They don't know that seeing anything related to Synesis makes your blood boil and your blood pressure spike to 190.

My blood pressure is fine; the issue is the entire forum. You aren't allowed to mention anything except Synesis. People have already asked to split the forum off (since there are so many of you, anyway). It's not an issue if a comment leads back to Synesis—what's the harm?—the problem is whenever someone mentions anything else, they're immediately labeled a copycat. You're famous for that provocation. Anyone who isn't a fan of Synesis is just a "copycat." You insult people constantly.
You even provoked Michelle Gonzalez50 during that rare, high-quality debate comparing Tech-Synesis.

It makes no sense to end up in Brooklyn over Synesis. But if you keep comparing your little Fićek to a Mercedes... who knows? Don't play games.

Glad to see you've confirmed your habit of belittling others here too. Just look at what everyone else is saying and you'll see which software is the reliable Merđo and which one is just a broken-down junker.

Bottom line: I want a level playing field on this PDF forum, or let the obsessed Synesis users go start their own space. All this passive-aggressive questioning and blatant advertising for problematic software is driving people crazy.

Carol Price4 said:Exactly my point.

Users are having a discussion, and then suddenly, Pos bursts in out of nowhere. And if he’s lucky enough to actually say something constructive—which he doesn't—it's usually just some mindless rant used to plug his own software. He just waits for some victim to take the bait so he can tear down whatever program is being discussed while shamelessly promoting his own.

I'm with Lilla on this one.

I've mentioned this several times in the accounting software threads: I honestly feel like Terry Johnson3 is just here on a "mission." My take? He pops up in these threads solely to aggressively promote Tech-Synesis in a very efficient, free way. He jumps into discussions about Synesis without any real reason, just to serve his own agenda.

Regardless of how much he claims to know Synesis, he’s proven himself to be clueless more than a few times. To me, his posts often feel like total fabrications designed for one thing... showing up often enough so that a "random" user searching for info before buying software happens to stumble upon Tech.

The only reason I highlighted my previous exchange was because it was actually useful, given the reasons I just laid out. But clearly, that exchange just ended up stifling the group, which is probably enough proof that there's no point in comparing programs here. We should just "clear the space" so people can ask what they need to know or solve their problems... and nothing else.
I hope the accounting software thread continues moving in this direction, and that users like Terry Johnson3 eventually just... fade away.

And finally, I want to express my full support for Lilla as a moderator. She has an incredible style—principled, yet human at the same time.

I don't want to clutter this thread by repeating the same sentiments, but I find myself in total agreement with everything you’ve said—especially that last sentence.!!!!
Lilly provides such a significant contribution to this community, not just through her moderation, but through the quality of her actual discussions, so I honestly think the forum wouldn't feel the same without her presence...

If we didn't have someone keeping things in check, all these random trolls and people who clearly haven't a clue how to behave would just turn this entire place into a complete circus

Michelle Gonzalez50 said:I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve had to point this out in the accounting software threads: some people here aren't actually participating in the discussion—they're just working a job for someone else. It’s pretty obvious to me that certain users jump into these threads with one goal: to aggressively push Techtronic software. They wait for anyone to mention Synapse, then swoop in under the guise of a conversation just to drop their plug. It’s a calculated, free way to run an ad campaign, and it’s blatant.

You could say the exact same thing about anyone out there shilling for Synapse. They just manufacture these fake questions just to get the brand mentioned. Most of the time, those questions don't even make sense, nobody gives a coherent answer, and honestly, it’s useless to everyone involved.

No matter how much they claim to know Synapse, they’ve been caught being completely clueless more than a few times. To me, most of what they write feels like a total fabrication. It’s clearly just a tactic to stay visible on this thread, hoping some random person looking for software advice will stumble upon Techtronic.

I never claimed to be a current user, which means I’m not up to speed on the latest updates, but I have plenty of experience with it from before. Everything you're saying applies to your side too. Just like some people get annoyed when someone is constantly obsessed with Synapse, you guys get worked up whenever Techtronic or something similar happens to pop up.

I’m highlighting my previous thread for one simple reason: it was useful, based on the points I already laid out. But let’s be real—that whole exchange turned into a total wash. It ended up just suffocating the group. That’s a clear sign that we don't need to waste time comparing programs. Instead, we should just "clear the floor" so people can actually ask what they want to know or solve their own problems... and nothing else.

You really hit the nail on the head regarding the core issue here. So, when someone actually brings facts to the table and starts comparing programs, it’s suddenly "too much" for people? If that's the case, then this group has clearly lost the plot. We should just start a new thread: Synapse User Support.
I hope things keep moving in that direction regarding accounting software.

I'm hoping that doesn't happen—mostly because it has nothing to do with the topic at hand anyway. But if it does? I definitely won't be interested in getting involved.

And finally, I want to give my full support to Sarah Morales90. She’s an incredible moderator—someone who manages to be both strictly professional and genuinely human at the same time.

We can go at each other's throats until the day after tomorrow, but that doesn’t change the core issue here. Lilly—who I don't actually have a personal problem with, since I get she’s doing this for free, and hey, it’s cool that people are engaging—is doing an excellent job moderating a thread that was posted in the wrong section. So, look, maybe the problem isn't Lilly.

If you aren't a user and you aren't up to date on the facts... I guess what exactly are you even contributing here?

Techtronic only seems to pop up in 99% of these discussions because you're the one driving it; otherwise, it wouldn't even be mentioned. That’s my take on whether we should split the threads: no, it's better if we stick together.

The forum is supposed to be a place where we look for solutions to our own needs, especially when we can't figure things out ourselves or aren't quite sure about a fix.

I mean, if having an actual, reasoned debate is considered "annoying" the group, then whatever quality of discussion we have doesn't really matter.

And this whole thing about eggs... saying something is "too much" when it isn't even about software... 🙂

Honestly, I wonder how anyone manages to write anything here without it turning into a total hype session for Synapse.

Techtronic only seems to pop up in 99% of threads because you're the one bringing them up. Otherwise, they wouldn't be mentioned at all.

Exactly. Everyone posting about Techtronic is just a clone :P By that logic, I guess everyone on the other side is just a Michelle Gonzalez50 clone too?

The forum is a place to find solutions for our needs, especially if we can't solve things ourselves or aren't sure about the fix.

Who's stopping you?

Look, if everyone wants to use the Automotive section to complain about fixing a junker Ford, fine. I've dealt with much worse.😉

I didn't plan on weighing in on this thread. But there are a few things I just can't let slide.

Terry Johnson3 said:Look, just because a handful of you are getting paid by the higher-ups to praise this joke of a program on the forums doesn't mean you're actually right.

I’ve tried explaining this more than once: we are users of this program. These constant insinuations are incredibly annoying, and they're an insult to the people posting here genuinely trying to help others rather than chasing a paycheck. 😉

hollowtrucker77 said:Lilly
is doing a terrible job moderating.

And you think you know 🙄

Terry Johnson3 said:You could say the same about anyone promoting Synapse—making up questions just to get it talked about. Most of those questions don't even make sense, nobody gives useful answers, and they aren't helpful to anyone...

There goes that insinuation again. Besides, whether something is "useful" or not isn't really our call to judge.

Just like some people can't stand hearing about Synapse constantly, you all seem annoyed whenever Techtronic or something else happens to come up.

That is a complete fabrication. I can find plenty of other posts where I specifically asked for someone with experience in other programs to chime in. Unfortunately, nobody ever responds.

Sarah Morales90 said:We're stuck in a loop talking about Techtronic and Synapse. 🤣

If you're interested in those two specific programs, please just scroll back through the last few pages so everyone else doesn't have to keep repeating themselves. 🤣

It’s a shame we aren't hearing from users of other software packages. I took a look at a few interesting ones a while back—Pharos, Quico, Pantheon... It’s a pity no one bothers to say a word about them here.

Sarah Morales90 said:To be honest, I’m disappointed too that we’ve only really touched on two programs. Personally, I only know the one I use daily. I’d love to hear some insights regarding other software, but you can't exactly force people to post.
If you're up for it, I'd actually love to hear more about that Riviera software.

We could spend all day bickering like children,

Michelle Gonzalez50 is a class act. I’d invite anyone to scroll through her posts to see for themselves; frankly, talking to her like this is unnecessary and just plain rude.

So, okay, maybe the issue isn't with Lilly.

OK, you lost me here 😕

Thanks to everyone who stood by me. It honestly means a lot to read something like that.

I'm still thinking about what Lili P. said earlier—it really gets you wondering, doesn't it? It’s one of those things that sounds simple on the surface, but once you start peeling back the layers, there's so much more to unpack. I don't know, maybe I'm overthinking it—that's probably just my way—but I can't quite shake the feeling that there's a deeper point there. kaže:
The Associated Press is actually such a class act. I honestly dare anyone to go back and read through her posts—you’ll see exactly what I mean. Writing something like that to her was completely unnecessary and, frankly, just plain mean.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the support. It really means a lot—honestly, reading stuff like this is pretty special.

Look, honey, you wiped my post, and honestly? It was actually pretty decent—well-written and respectful too. But now the whole thing feels pointless because his coworkers already told him he’d had enough. And once some random girl stepped in to take her shot... things just spiraled way past the point of no return. There isn't much left to say, really, but whenever he finally does reach out... man, he's going to have a lot to explain.

I really love that sentiment—the idea of stepping up just to help others. To me, that’s what truly matters most. And looking at this group of women—not that I can even list them all—it's incredible. They are always right there whenever something needs fixing or someone needs a hand. Even when I butt in with my own rambling and accidentally make things more complicated—which, let's face it, happens more than I'd like to admit since I'm coming from a completely different field—they still show up. Still, twenty years of running a business leaves its mark on you, I suppose. So, to all these wonderful ladies: please let me just say thank you. Thank you for everything—for the support, the help, and the friendship.

Is there even any point in responding to insults like that—you know, the ones where people claim someone is just getting paid? Honestly, it’s so ridiculous it actually makes me laugh. I’m nowhere near New York City, so if anyone thinks there’s some kind of actual benefit to running ads for a tiny little outfit like that... well, we all know exactly what's going on there. Microsoft is such a massive player that they don't need some small-time entrepreneur trying to "flex" their connection to them every time they overcharge for something they shouldn't have. But man, Iris is changing! From what I can see, things are moving in a really great direction. Every single update has been solid—especially since the VAT module is totally free now. Seriously, bravo!

"The Associated Press is actually quite a class act"... Ha!! Well put... I personally love them because they’ve always had my back—even if they were a little baffled by my style and my tendency to get a bit heated—but they accepted me anyway! And let's be honest, they actually *get* it. So, to the AP—my apologies for that wild rant about the way things were handled... you didn't deserve that, even though I knew exactly where his "politeness" was actually heading. He needed "arguments" and some breathing room, but he didn't have either, mostly because he has nobody to talk shop with. The fact that he didn't understand a single word when you brought up Microsoft is pretty obvious—he clearly hasn't a clue about Syn4!!

I don't want to sound like a broken record by complaining about the same guy again—but he’s been around for years now, and honestly, he hasn't gotten any better; if anything, he's gone downhill. Still, there is a solution to deal with him, so... we've already discussed how we're going to handle this situation.

So, here I am again—continuing the conversation just like Eugene O'Neill would say. I’ve got full support from Lily, who—get this—decided to give me another strike. She actually deleted my post too, probably because I was praising her a little too much?! Who knows what she's thinking, but hey, she's doing her thing... anyway, regardless of all that— I’m just out here trying to stand up for what’s right.Honestly, I don't see this as a negative thing at all—if anything, I actually like it more. It forces me to reel in my temper and watch what I say, making sure I adapt to the community we've built here, which has stayed relevant from the coast all the way across the country. To me, that’s a good thing! Thanks, Lili—just please don't even think about deleting this, because I truly mean it when I say you've earned the praise.
