Basically...

As believers, we aren't allowed to crack jokes about the implications of the stuff most atheists believe in. It’s been like this for a long time, and I’m not just saying that—other believers have had their jokes deleted too, and they even get sent nasty threats if they keep making fun of atheists...

All those questions about the meaning of life, death, or nothingness that eventually swallow us all—all that atheist nonsense is banned just so we don't offend them. Meanwhile, the moderators call us Catholics a criminal organization (moderator Ego...), not to mention the daily insults thrown at our Lord Jesus Christ. When atheists constantly call Jesus a monster, they're basically calling all of us who believe in him monsters too. I mean, if we agree with Jesus and the Bible, then we're obviously just as much monsters as he is. But hey, that's freedom of speech, right?

Then we constantly hear people whining that these jokes aren't funny. Well, how is an atheist supposed to find them funny? That would be like telling a Mexican it's funny to hear a joke about Americans mocking them for being crushed during Hurricane Katrina. Of course, to really get some of these jokes, you have to follow the debates happening in the religion sub-forum to understand what's actually going on. Again, if you don't grasp certain views on life during a debate, maybe you won't understand why something is funny. Just like how some atheists don't understand my way of speaking, they don't get what I'm laughing at later. But honestly, atheists usually get exactly what I'm laughing at, and that's probably why it bothers them so much...

And then we hear the complaining that the jokes are "sick." But these jokes are based on atheist conclusions and atheist beliefs. To say they're sick is basically saying that various atheist convictions and conclusions are sick...

And all of this stems from the moderation, which announced that calling the Virgin Mary bitch in the religion sub-forum wouldn't be considered trolling...

So, they call our mother a bitch, and we aren't even allowed to write a crappy little joke about them?

I'm asking for the last two jokes I wrote in the religion sub-forum to be restored...

I remember this joke my uncle used to tell back in the day, before everything changed. It’s basically me making fun of how atheists think death is the absolute end and they'll never see their loved ones again...

The working title for this one is "head"...

So, an atheist family is having lunch. Everyone's at the table waiting for Mom to serve the food. While the dad is sitting there, his daughter is playing under the table, and honestly, it's starting to get on this hungry guy's nerves...

Daughter:

Dad, guess which side of the table I'm gonna poke my head out from next?

Dad:

From the right side...

Daughter:

How about now?

Dad:

On the left side...

Daughter:

And now?

Dad:

Back to the right side...

The daughter is really starting to push her dad's buttons here...

Daughter:

Dad, so which side am I poking my head out from in five minutes?

Dad:

From the left side...

Daughter:

What about now?

Dad:

Again from the left side...

Daughter:

Well, where am I poking my head out at four in the afternoon?

Dad:

From the right side...

Daughter:

Dad, where am I poking my head out in a hundred years?

Dad:

Right where we put your skull in the grave...

What actually makes a specific work example a joke or even funny? Why would you call it an atheist joke instead of, say, a joke about Romani people?

Romani don't necessarily believe that death is the final word or that they'll never see their loved ones again...

But atheists? They definitely believe that...

I mean, when an angry atheist finally snaps, they might just end up telling a little kid exactly what they're really thinking...

Personally, I find that pretty hilarious...

And look, I believe you when you say this joke isn't funny to atheists. It doesn't even have to be funny to people who aren't atheists, but whatever...

Nick and even more instances,

Everything is already documented right here in the Book, so I have no further need for clarification nor anything else to contribute.
As far as I am concerned, I cannot support the recycling of jokes, and that is final.
A consensus with Dad was impossible to reach, so it is probably for the best that this remains an open topic.

Dad:

Where we go to fix our own messes...

No comment, truly.

Dark humor is dark humor, I guess...

If this wasn't about atheists, nobody would even blink. But if it were about Catholicism, the mods would defend it until their last breath, claiming it's all about free speech. I mean, we all saw how the entire mod team teamed up to defend calling the Virgin Mary a Virgin Mary bitch. Basically, the mods decided that atheists have every right to call the Virgin Mary a bitch, and that it isn't trolling. So, apparently, it isn't trolling when people who don't even believe the Virgin Mary was a historical figure go out of their way to argue she was a bitch. They don't even think anyone can prove the Virgin Mary existed, but they really believe they can argue she was a bitch...

So, yeah, the mods are trolling. It seems they just want to trample on and insult the image of the Virgin Mary on this forum as much as possible...

Anyway, Grace Kim80 concluded my jokes were about religion here:

And...

Grace Kim80 said:Exactly. You shouldn't come to a religion sub and, in an environment like this, joke about dead children under the guise of atheist criticism. It's misplaced, it's ugly, and posts like that don't belong here.

So, according to Grace Kim80, I'm writing these jokes because I have something against dead atheist children......

The jokes are, according to Grace Kim80, just a COVER for my hatred toward dead atheist children...

I guess when it comes to defending your precious atheism, you aren't afraid to spout the biggest nonsense imaginable...

General religious topics that don't dive deep into heavy theology are always better handled over in the Politics or Social Sciences sections.

If you’re looking to get into the nitty-gritty of theological debates, you should probably head over to the Small Council forum instead.

I'm sorry, but that's just how things operate here.

We don't break religion down into tiny little sub-sections here, and the mods are mostly comprised of people with agnostic leanings—though you'll hear plenty of complaints from Muslims and Jews about that too (they might have a bit more protection, but they don't really police religious content much), not to mention all the various sects. This hasn't changed in ten years, so this is simply the established policy of the forum.

I mean this in the best possible way. Just roll with it.

Grace Kim80 said:Seriously, I have no comment on that.

So you’re telling me that joking about this—about the head—is too terrifying to even say out loud?

But honestly, that’s what atheists actually believe. If I’m some degenerate just for making a joke about it, then what does that make the people who actually hold those views as their absolute truth?

If my kid ever asks me where his head is going to be in a hundred years, I’d tell him:

"Up in heaven, in Paradise..."

But what can an atheist tell their kid?

Well, in the grave, I guess. Where else...🤷

When I really sit and think about it, I start cracking up. I'm literally shaking in my chair laughing...

So why shouldn't I have the right to poke fun at you atheists like that?

Are you guys really that arrogant?

Can't you take a joke?

And yet, you all seem perfectly happy to write your little posts mocking everything we Catholics hold sacred...

Sorry, but that’s just how things work here.

Religion isn't segmented off here, and the mods are mostly made up of people with agnostic leanings. You see Muslims and Jews complaining about the same thing—they might be slightly more protected, but they don't really push the religious angle much—not to mention all the different sects. It hasn't changed in ten years, so yeah, that's just the policy of this American forum.

Just being honest. Adapt or move on.

How does any of that even relate to what I'm actually saying?

I've already adapted to having my faith—and basically me—insulted here in the worst ways possible. Honestly, seeing a string of atheist attacks on Jesus Christ is almost funny to me, I guess. Not the super offensive ones, but I'm used to them. It doesn't even cross my mind to complain when someone insults the Virgin Mary; I only bring it up to show you how things really stand. And the reality is, religion is the only place on this site where you can't even say Merry Christmas normally, because the moderator Ego decided to turn the holiday greeting thread into some kind of roast session...

That's not even the point. The point is that this whole religion section has been turned into an atheist bunker where you aren't allowed to touch atheism.SO IT'S A SUPPRESSION OF FREE SPEECH!!! So, the problem is actually the exact opposite of what you were trying to explain to me...

People are allowed to pick fights about everything except atheists. Everything is fair game 24/7, except for atheism. Atheists used to brag about how it wasn't even possible to mock them, or even write jokes about them...

But the second someone finds a way, boom, here comes the entire squadron of forum atheists ready to spend the next week convincing you that it wasn't funny, it wasn't a joke, it was sick, it was an insult, and whatever other nonsense they need to spout. There's no limit to the crap they're capable of saying once they start...

Honestly, if you try to tell that joke to him, he’s definitely not going to want to hang out with you ever again. And look, bringing up the Virgin Mary bitch thing? That has absolutely nothing to do with the jokes themselves, and you really shouldn't have dragged that into the conversation.

Can you actually back up what you're saying?

What’s the big deal about that joke? Why isn't it allowed?

I really hope you don't just cowardly shut down this thread because you can't come up with a single real argument...

Arthur Flores2, I felt embarrassed reading those "jokes" of yours. You really have no reason to complain; there isn't even a hint of actual humor in them.

Robin Lopez2, what you just wrote basically sounds like you're embarrassed by your own beliefs...

It's like a swarm of atheists is coming out of nowhere, probably because they think now's the perfect time to try and kill off a joke...😂

Arthur Flores2, your "jokes" aren't even funny—if they could even be called jokes. I might say they're actually quite sick; as a believer, I find myself having to distance myself sharply from such "humor," and I have to tell you—perhaps you’re simply bringing shame upon yourself and the faith you claim to stand for.

Look, Paul Kern12, you aren't even Catholic. You're one of those Jehovah's Witnesses who thinks the Catholic Church is basically Satan's playground, which is why you look at us Catholics like that. Honestly, you're trying to play both sides, but you've pretty much walled yourself off from us with barbed wire...

rustydrifter10, let's just chill out for a second. Any chance you could send me that last joke again? It wasn't actually that dark, and maybe if we have it, we can just wrap this whole argument up quickly and move on.

The atheist squadron is swarming because now is the perfect moment to shut down the joke...😂

See, what you actually said is way funnier than any of those "jokes" of yours.

Look, as someone who was raised Catholic but isn't exactly practicing... and since I'm definitely not a fan of the mods... I’ve gotta say this as a father! This whole story you're telling... it's not even a joke, it's just twisted...
