Swelling under the breast—anyone dealt with this?

Hey everyone, I’m looking for some insight here. My wife has been dealing with this weird swelling on her left side for a while now—it feels almost like something popped out of place. It’s located just below the breast, right around the ribcage area or maybe slightly above it. She’s already seen a doctor about it, but honestly, they haven't really gotten anywhere with a diagnosis. They ran an ultrasound and checked her liver and spleen, and apparently, everything came back totally fine, which is frustrating because she clearly feels something is off. Does anyone have any idea what this could actually be? Could it be something with the liver that they missed? Or, I don't know, is it possible it's just from a crappy mattress? I'm feeling a bit lost on this one.

Yeah, it could honestly just be from sleeping on one side too much or having a cheap mattress that isn't supporting you right. I actually dealt with something similar—I had this persistent feeling of swelling in my lower right chest area. I went in for an ultrasound, and the technician basically looked at me and said, "Sir, we don't see anything unusual here; it might just be all in your head." 😁

It flares up every once in a while, but I've stopped stressing over it. If the most advanced imaging technology can't find a physical cause, then there's nothing more to be done about it.
