That’s some dark trolling right there. I actually went to look up the definition of "arrogant" in a dictionary just now. It says it means conceited. I am not conceited. Not at all. Honestly, I have no idea how that connects to my comment about keeping this thread closed.

My reasoning for requesting this thread be opened:

If The Wall Street Journal is reporting on the marriage referendum here in America, why is it considered off-limits for discussion on the Politics subforum?

The issue of the referendum triggers daily reactions and official statements, topics that are being discussed quite freely on every other political forum—so why not this one?

Based on these points and everything I have previously noted, I am once again asking that the topic be opened.

The thread will go live tomorrow once the signatures are officially submitted.

I’m jumping in to support the appeal here—this is such a timely, pressing topic, and I think it’s important to keep the discussion open because people really need a dedicated space to talk about it.

What usually happens is that when a thread like the "referendum on same-sex marriage" gets locked, the conversation doesn't just stop; it just migrates to other threads where it ends up being flagged as off-topic.

That honestly creates a lose-lose situation. It’s extra work for you guys having to clean up those off-topic posts, and it’s frustrating for the users who end up getting red-carded for trying to discuss something they care about in the wrong place.

I’m sure that isn't the intention of the PDF policy moderators. ☕
