Shutter is just okayโ€”mediocre, really. One Missed Call was even worse, honestly... The Ritual was pretty weak too. I didn't bother with Black Swan, and as for Carrie, that's the only one actually worth watching. Regarding the prizes, I totally agree they aren't exactly highlightsโ€”it feels like stuff you could just grab at Walmart for pocket change. Even if they were actual masterpieces, like maybe a Dawn of the Dead director's cut with commentary by George A. Romero, ๐Ÿ˜ it wouldn't really change much. Personally, I remember when Dragonrage used to run games and the prizes were actually decent, which gave people a reason to participate... now there's zero motivation. If someone truly loves the genre, they'll post something regardless.

That's facts. Honestly, Iโ€™d probably be writing even if there weren't any prizes involved. Wait, I guess I already am. ๐Ÿ˜

The prizes, whatever they may be, aren't a big deal, but they are a nice touch. What really bugs me is the sheer lethargy and chronic laziness from some people. We're talking about an hour of focused work here. They won't lift a finger even if the prizes were way better than what these guys offer. That's the thing I'd love to see change.

Yeah, you're definitely not alone there... ๐Ÿ˜

The prizes, whatever they may be, aren't exactly life-changing, but they're cool enough. What really gets to me is that general sluggishness and chronic lazinessโ€”we're talking about maybe an hour of focused work. People won't lift a finger even for much bigger rewards than these. Thatโ€™s the part Iโ€™d love to change.

Good luck with that. But yeah, it's trueโ€”for an hour of slightly better effort, you can put together a decent piece and send it in. The prize isn't everything, it's just a nice feeling knowing you earned it through your own work. Though, if my experience is anything to go by, it's always way easier to just sit back and complain...

Ugh... that would be a total disaster. Giveaway time. Who's in?Itโ€™s not exactly cheap money, either. Just a tour around Chernobyl will run you $115, and that doesn't even touch the flights or hotel.

I mean, look, some people are gonna jump in and some aren't, it's just how it goes. ๐Ÿ™‚
Like casualcobra5 was saying once, these prizes aren't really the main point, they're more like a little "nod" or maybe just a tiny nudge to get people typing. I mean, if you actually live and breathe horror, youโ€™re gonna sit down and write a review whether thereโ€™s a prize attached or notโ€”and honestly, we've seen plenty of those anyway.
Besides, whatโ€™s the big deal? All you're doing is carving out maybe thirty minutes or an hour of your free time to jot down your thoughts on a horror flick you watched. Nobody is asking you to write some twenty-page academic dissertation or anything crazy like that; we just want a quick take from a fellow horror fan about a movie, and thatโ€™s pretty much it ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey everyone, weโ€™ve only got about ten days left before this giveaway officially wraps up!
If you're one of those folks looking to sit down and actually write up a review for a horror flick you've watched lately, you've still got a little bit of time left on the clock.
You should probably take advantage of this while you can and try to snag one of the movies on the list, especially since the whole task we're asking you to do is pretty straightforward for any horror junkies out there ๐Ÿ˜

The hard deadline is April 25th, which is when we'll be locking everything down! ๐Ÿ™‚

Good luck, I guess.

Look, I don't want this to just be some place where we dump movie links, so for everyone whoโ€™s been feeling pretty let down by recent releases, let's actually share some movie tickets! ๐Ÿ˜

To get your hands on these, don't bother sending in some formal review or anythingโ€”just drop a comment letting us know which horror flick you think has actually been the best over the last few years, and you might just snag two tickets for Warner Bros.!
Check out the details here: Movie tickets for the Warner Bros. horror premiere!

Movies are split! - One review, one movie - that's it!

So, if you actually entered that giveaway for tickets to the premiere of the Warner Bros. horror, the list of winners should be dropping later this afternoon, I guess!

Congrats to whoever won, go ahead and enjoy the premiere ๐Ÿ™‚

Maybe the next one will actually lean harder into those "cult classic" horror vibes ๐Ÿ˜, but honestly, regardless of that, we've already seen way more reviews than anyone really expected ๐Ÿ™‚

I didn't quite have the luck needed to snag ๐Ÿ˜ขWarner Bros. ๐Ÿ™‚, but I'm honestly really happy with taking 2nd place and receiving my prize.

Thanks so much for the invite and for the gift ๐Ÿ™‚

There's definitely gonna be more games coming out, I'm pretty sure about that ๐Ÿ™‚
