Are you actually happy with how the aesthetics turned out? And honestly, how long was the wait for the surgery?

Thanks for the intel. 🙂

P.S. Has anyone here actually seen a maxillofacial surgeon over at the New Hospital?

I am beyond thrilled with the aesthetic results😉 — I waited about a month and a half.😁

It’s highly unlikely a maxillofacial surgeon will touch your nose unless you’ve dealt with some serious trauma—think a car accident or facial blunt force—in which case a whole team of specialists, including the maxillofacial expert, would step in.😉 — They all coordinate closely when necessary... In my case, an ENT reconstructed my entire nose and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.👍

Thank you so much for getting back to me and clarifying things about the surgeons! I was really torn about who I should choose 🎉🙂

Hi there. I'm considering nose surgery with Dr. Glusac in Makarska. I've heard nothing but great things about him... has anyone here actually gone under the knife with him?🙂>

He pops up in this thread all the time. Honestly, why not just scroll through some of these 488 pages? I bet you'll find exactly what you're looking for way faster than sitting around waiting for someone to reply here... 😉

Hey everyone! 🙂

For those of you who have gone through septorhinoplasty, did your teeth feel super sensitive afterward? Like, how bad was it and just how long did that last?

Maybe take a look at page 358 or something... you'll see it's not all sunshine and rainbows.😵

I just read through all that... honestly, I'm not sure. No matter how much people praise him, there’s always someone dragging his name through the mud. I suppose that's just the reality for anyone in this business—you can't please everyone. I sent a private message to two women to see how their noses looked before and after his work. My own nose isn't even that bad, it's just that when I smile, it dips downward, and that really gets on my nerves.

Has anyone here dealt with surgery at the hospital in San Diego, or maybe worked with Dr. Kalogjera over at St? 🙂

Nicholas Patel in San Francisco - here’s the deal with how they run things over at the Nicholas Patel clinic in San Francisco.
After you get nose surgery, it’s totally standard to head back in to have the packing removed and go through follow-up checks just to make sure the recovery is staying on track. But at the Nicholas Patel clinic, things aren't exactly "standard." See, once they pull those tampons out, if you show up for a routine check-up or if you end up having some complications—which requires several follow-ups—they hit you with a bill for every single visit. It’s honestly wild; after you’ve already shelled out for the actual surgery $5500 plus the $250 pre-op exams, they turn around and demand more cash for post-op visits that any decent medical facility would have bundled into the initial price. Their excuse? They claim since the surgeon who actually did the job isn't available, some other doctor has to see you, and that comes with an extra fee. Everything looks perfectly fine while they're taking your money, but once the transaction clears, suddenly you're just a nuisance they can fleece whenever they feel like it.
So, just a heads-up: if you have any other options, stay far away from this shady clinic.

After nose surgery, you’d expect to go back to have your packing removed and get follow-up exams to make sure everything is healing up just right. That's standard, right? Well, at the Nicholas Patel clinic, it’s a different story. Once those tampons come out, if you show up for a routine checkup or if you hit a snag and need an extra look, they start hitting you with more fees for every single visit—and you’ll definitely need several. It feels totally shady. You already paid for the $5500 surgery plus the $250 pre-op exam, yet they still demand cash for follow-ups that any decent medical center would include in the initial price. Their excuse? They claim the surgeon who actually did the work isn't available, so some other doctor has to see you, and that costs extra. Everything looks great until you hand over the money for the surgery; once they have your cash, suddenly you're a nuisance and just another mark for them to fleece.
Seriously, if you have any other options, steer clear of this rip-off clinic.

Can you tell me which doctor performed your surgery?

So, here’s my quick take on yesterday's surgery... I went under the knife for a nose job, fixing a deviated septum (plus some damage from a bike accident a few years back), and getting rid of those dark circles under my eyes... all in one go. They did local anesthesia combined with sedation rather than full general anesthesia. I stayed overnight at the clinic after the procedure, though I barely slept a wink because of the breathing issues. Honestly, my face looks absolutely terrible on day one; the bruising from the eye correction is intense, and having nasal tampons shoved up there is just awful. It feels like my entire head is stuffed with something. I can't sleep, and eating isn't exactly easy either... nothing really hurts, but the sensation is just miserable. My lips got pretty chapped while I was at the clinic, but they've improved slightly since I got home. I have a follow-up appointment the day after tomorrow, and I am praying they pull those tampons out! I won't be seeing anyone for at least 10 days. You really don't realize how vital the nose is until it's occupied like this—you truly learn to appreciate it once you've been through it.

Hi everyone. About four months ago, I had rhinoplasty. I won't mention the surgeon's name here because I don't want this to feel like a free advertisement, but if anyone is interested, feel free to send me a private message. My nose wasn't actually big, and I didn't have a bump or anything; I just really disliked my profile.
When I first walked into the clinic with photos of the look I wanted, the doctor actually refused to operate at first. He felt there was no medical need for it and warned me there was a high chance the surgery could end up ruining my nose. After arguing about it for an hour, he finally agreed to do it, but only on the condition that I signed a waiver stating I was proceeding at my own risk and that he couldn't guarantee the final result would match my exact expectations.
The procedure was done under local anesthesia. I didn't feel a thing. For an hour after the surgery, I was just sitting there typing and chatting on my phone, and my boyfriend picked me up four hours later.
There was zero pain. I slept normally and ate fine, even though opening my mouth was a bit awkward because of the bandages and the tape on my head. I didn't experience any bruising at all. On the fourth day, I had the tampons removed—which was honestly painless—and seven days later, they took off the splint. My only real fear was how the final shape would look. As it turns out, the result is PERFECT. It’s exactly what I wanted: not that typical "operated" look with a nose that's too upturned, but something that looks very natural.
In short, I am beyond happy with the decision. The whole process was truly painless, and I didn't feel even a hint of discomfort. Most importantly, the results are great.

It’s day three post-op... I’m heading in today to finally get those nasal tampons removed because I honestly can't take it anymore. Between the constant sneezing fits, my nose being completely stuffed up, and this pounding pressure in my head, I'm at my limit. It is such an unpleasant sensation when you need to sneeze but everything just stays trapped in your nose—it's been like that for two days straight. I actually almost walked out early because one of them was so uncomfortable. Honestly, it's just miserable. I know some people say they didn't even notice the tampons, but for me, every single hour feels like an eternity. My tongue is totally numb from having to breathe through my mouth, my lips are parched, and don't even get me started on trying to sleep. This is probably the absolute worst part of the whole ordeal; you don't even feel the actual surgery or the pain from it compared to this.

Can anyone tell me how much a nose job costs at Glumičić's? Does he offer any kind of discount if you pay in cash?
Seriously, please help—I can't find anything online about his pricing. Is it actually possible that there isn't a fixed rate and it just depends on who you ask?

Hey everyone!

I need some advice.

I had cosmetic surgery on my nose about three years ago. It was done privately, and honestly, everything was perfect—until a few months ago. Now, the cartilage, that septum between the two nostrils, has started shifting to one side. Because of that, my nose looks asymmetrical and, frankly, pretty ugly from the front.
Since I'm not in a position to head back to a private clinic for surgery again, does anyone know if general hospitals handle reconstructive work? And more importantly, does anyone have an idea of what the price tag looks like?
Has anyone else dealt with something similar?

I finally went under the knife last week to get my nasal pyramid and septum corrected after dealing with so much misery and sleepless nights. On one hand, the result is great because that bump on the right side of my nose is completely gone. However, when it comes to the lower part of my nostrils—the actual openings I breathe through—nothing seems to have changed at all. One is still narrow and looks pretty ugly, while the other is just the way it always was. My eyes aren't deceiving me; I'm feeling a bit confused and honestly quite disappointed. If they were performing a full reshaping of the nose, I thought this would have been addressed too. I had the procedure done over at Vinogradski Hospital...
Has anyone else gone through something similar, or do I really need to wait a few months for everything to settle into place and heal properly?
I could really use some help or advice here..

My nose is still swollen after a full month. It’s not as bad as it was, but still... it takes time for everything to settle into place. Man, my nose looked so different just a week in compared to how it looks now.
