Might be better to just run another print of that Piggy book instead. 😉

Why don't you take charge of that book project? I managed to get a hold of T. Birtic through a buddy. Nobody’s saying the book is some absolute masterpiece, but honestly, it’s one of those things you really should have on your shelf. And at the current price? It's a steal.

Hardly anyone remembers him from those road trips, let alone the organized actions...
He was probably already running with Glavonj and his little crew, Chuck and Doug from Kozjak, even back then.

Well, yeah... at the wedding for Mack's family, the envelope from the "best man" was thick enough to be a medical encyclopedia... (...or like someone had secretly slipped a book by Dostoevsky into the envelope instead🤣 ...but hey, maybe the man knows what he's doing and who he should be hanging out with)
...character and all that... don't you see the similarities?

I spotted him in Bergam and VŽ.
(But honestly, during that rough patch—since our guy was the last one to get into a conflict—he and part of the crew were already too far gone, and they couldn't come back because of the issues at the gates🤣, I don't think he really put in the effort or showed any desire to return, no matter how much the guys called them back to the fold...)

I saw him in Bergamo and at the VŽ game.
(But honestly, while things were messy—since our guy was the absolute last one to get into a scrap, he and part of the crew were already too far up and couldn't get back because of those gates at the entrance 🤣, I really believe he didn't try all that hard or show much desire to do so, no matter how much the guys were calling them back to join in...)

Let me clear this up: the cops cleared us out before you guys even arrived (the last bus) at the stands because we stormed the shop across from the parking lot. It’s almost funny—Pan from Dugav (rest his soul, the American Knight who died near Dubrovnik) accidentally swiped a non-alcoholic beer, and then, out of pure frustration, he led the charge against the store. The police rushed in and pushed/forced us back toward the stands.
Mack was screaming from the stands, "Let's break out, let's go, it's getting crazy!" But there wasn't a prayer of us breaking through the police line, mostly because of those iron gates at the entrance they slammed shut, banging batons against the fence right above us. It's true we tried to charge three times, but we just ended up taking a beating from the cops.
Anyway, Mack wasn't actually part of the charges; he was just yelling from the stands, "Come on everyone... what are you cowards waiting for, let's goooo!" Classic him.
You were right, he was only at the VŽ game that year since I didn't miss a single away match that season, so I know firsthand how it went. 🙂 I remember when we went to Novi Sad that year; he stayed behind with his usual excuse about having "major private problems" and being unable to go—cops this, cops that. Pete basically told him straight to his face that he's a lying coward, just like his best man is today. 😉

Hang in there, guys!

Hang in there, boys !!!!!!!!

It's true, getting out in Bergamo was impossible. Back then, those Italians already had 15-20 years of ultra movements and constant stadium chaos under their belt, and that section was set up like a fortress. You couldn't bust through those gates even with a medieval battering ram. We probably weren't the first ones trying.

I remember us all running to the top of the stands and throwing flares at the cops. When we were scrambling up the stairs, it was pure mayhem with the police. Some kid in plain clothes—probably an inspector—nearly broke my jaw with a kick because of how they were standing up there while we were down below.😁

Man, the guy accidentally swiped a non-alcoholic beer—just a total mistake—and then, out of pure frustration, he decided to go on a full-on charge against the convenience store. Before things could even settle, the cops swooped in and started shoving everyone back toward the bleachers. Total chaos.
Mack was absolutely losing his mind in the stands, screaming that we needed to break through and get out because things were getting sketchy—but let’s be real, there wasn't a damn chance in hell we were making it through that wall. Not with those massive iron gates they slammed shut right at the entrance, followed by them just relentlessly smashing police batons against the fences right over our heads. I'll admit, we tried to charge three different times, but we just ended up taking a massive beating from the barricades.
Look, Mack wasn't even out there trying to make the cut at those tryouts—he was too busy screaming from the stands, "Come on everyone... what are you waiting for, let's go!" Honestly, that's just classic Mack.
You were spot on about that year—I was only ever hanging out in the VŽ area, and since I didn't miss a single away game that whole season, I know exactly how things go from first-hand experience. 🙂 I still remember that trip we took to Chicago back then—the guy was standing there acting all high and mighty, making some big-shot excuse about how he had "major private issues" and couldn't make it, blaming the cops and whatnot. Pete just looked him dead in the eye and told him straight up that he was a lying coward, just like his godfather is being today. 😉

Hang in there, fellas!!!!!!!!

Look, Pan isn't actually from the Dugav area—he's a suburb kid from the Zapruđ side of town—but his girlfriend used to be from Dugav, so he was always hanging out with that crowd and running with them all the time. Honestly, I think I even saw some graffiti back in high school over in Zapruđ where him, Buba, and a few other guys had tagged their names.

More like Središće if you want to be exact. But honestly, it's basically the same as Pruđe.

You're probably right. I know he was always at the games—at least at the ones I went to—hanging with the Dugav crowd, Nikša from Sopot, and Maya, whose sandwiches people still talk about today 🙂 ... so that's why I made the connection. I guess time and age just blur the memory a bit. I haven't seen that graffiti, and I definitely haven't been in Zapruđ for ten years, but maybe I'll take the kids through there tomorrow and see if I can spot it.

At this rate, we might as well just go back to reprinting Prnjak's book. 😉

Speaking of which, does anyone know where I can actually find "Bad Boys - The First Ten Years: (A Social Phenomenon of Dynamo Fans)" by Hrvoje Prnjak? Anyone?!

I was on the bus that pulled into Bergamo last, among the very last ones. Honestly, the guys from the suburbs had to clear the way along the route, so we ended up picking up a stray sneaker and some whiskey along the way... and once we stepped off, everything just went sideways. We started heading toward their group of about fifteen people—they were all standing there with their hands on each other's backs—and as we got close, they just flashed their chains at us and started spinning them... we just kind of gave up on that crowd and walked away in silence 🤷 A few minutes later, an undercover cop with a gun pointed right at me and another guy was trying to force us into something... I have no idea what kind of chaos that was...
But looking back, we really ought to make the most of it, so tomorrow we go easy:
This is Vinkovci Stadium, where Dynamo plays; they're the new champions

It was a heavy-duty operation that really hit its peak when they threw their weight behind Zdravko Mamić back in 2001. To be fair, this wasn't just about a few individuals; a huge chunk of the BBB was backing Zdravko Mamić at the time. It was a messy whole situation that dragged on for ages. I’d say most of the Bad Boys were riding with Zdravko Mamić back then, which turned out to be the deciding factor in 2001 when he basically had the full, declared support of the Bad Boys during the takeover of Dynamo.

Nicholas Parker6 said:It was quite a heavy-handed agency, really culminating in that full-blown support for Jerry Jones back in 2001. To ensure this doesn't look like it was merely about a few rogue individuals, a significant portion of the Bad Boys actually backed Jerry Jones during that era. It was a messy affair involving all sorts of characters, and it dragged on for a long time. In my view, most of the boys were firmly behind Jerry Jones at the time, which proved to be the decisive factor in 2001 when he essentially had the near-unanimous blessing of the boys regarding his takeover of Real Madrid.

Donald Trump, just get lost and go back to your dark corner where you belong. ☕

Just talking nonsense here... the vast majority of the BBB crowd has never supported, nor would they ever support, someone like Jerry Jones.
The profile of a guy who’s solely focused on digging up as much cash as possible—whether through shady dealings or just blatant greed—is never going to fly with a group like the BBB.

Just one more thing... for the sake of the truth.
The girl from the late Penny wasn't named Maya, she was Jane G. from the Heights. Back then, she was in college, and her brother Jerry Jones was part of the NYC hardcore fans (with Panda and the crew) and served on the front lines alongside his brother near the downtown district.
By the way, R. Knjaz was the one who basically monopolized the local cable network, which is how we ended up calling it the "Dugave Republic."
Even today, I can still recall his passing, and a snippet from the obituary she wrote for him: "Through the terraces of consciousness, I feel something within me being shared... I love you" (Azra).
So, let's just leave it at that, rather than letting this spiral needlessly.

Who’s the one claiming we were stuck in the back of the bus in Bergamo when we suddenly found ourselves in total chaos?... It was pure madness, spreading out in every direction... flares lighting up everywhere, feeling like you were in Stalingrad during an occupation... cocktails flying through the air, and they even smashed our gear while we couldn't even stop😂 and the driver—some uptight little perfectionist—wouldn't even let us spit because he didn't want anything to burn inside the car. In the end, he was eating so much I honestly thought he might have a stroke😂. But massive respect to the crew that stayed down there (+ Sarma).
And do you remember how long it took us to get out before the riot police finally dispersed them en masse?... Man. Those heavy steel exit doors—they looked like something built for gladiators.🤣.

I never actually said his girlfriend was named Maya; Maya was the girl Nick from Sopot used to date. I only brought her up because she tagged along on a few trips with us.

Back then she was still in college, and her brother Mr. M. was part of the hardcore NYC crew (with Panda and the rest) and served alongside his brother on the front lines. (Near Vajdin vijenac).

God... damn it... that guy from Bank of America, that fat kid from the outskirts, etc...

Anyway, R. Knjaz is basically the one who forced Dugava TV into existence, which is where the whole "Dugave Republic" thing comes from.

Knjaz pushed Dugava TV through along with that guy who fell off the terrace—I think his name was Bora or something, I can't recall the exact name 100%. To be honest, I remember his sister's curves better.

More specifically, he did it with
I still remember it today—his death and that snippet from the obituary she wrote for him: "I feel something splitting inside me through the terraces of consciousness... I love you" (Azra)
So, let's just leave it at that, before this goes any further pointlessly.

We arrived in Venice six days after the fatality, traveling with part of the 7th Cavalry Brigade. I don't want to write another word about it here. If you have questions about the case, hit me up via PM.

Who says he was in the back of the last bus in Bergamo? We suddenly stumbled into this total chaos... shouting coming from all directions... flares going off everywhere, looking like you're in Stalingrad during an occupation... Molotovs flying, they even smashed our baseball, and we didn't even stop 😂 and the driver was such a pedantic little prick; he wouldn't even let us smoke so we wouldn't overheat the car. In the end, he was eating so much I thought he might have a stroke.😂 But hats off to the guys who stayed down there (+ Sarma).
And do you remember how long it took us to get out before the police finally dispersed them with batons?

I remember they were cuffing Italians and some policewoman too; at least that’s what the cop at the exit told me.

...ugh, man. Those steel exit doors—like an Inquisition gate, built for gladiators.🤣

steelmoose02- No need to get too personal here, but there was this couple, Boro and Lara... they were recent grads who fell right off a high-rise terrace. One tried to grab the other to pull them up, but they both ended up hitting the concrete together... force majeure, I guess... even today, you'll find flowers and a burnt-out candle left there...
The exact same crowd sparked that massive protest with the dyed emblems in an NYC parking lot back in the day, right in front of the school. It was during a game where Real Madrid fans were facing off against the Dugavljan crew, back when they were playing in that amateur league for idiots... maybe 3,500 people showed up.
I've rarely met a more eccentric group of people, yet every Sunday, after a long night out, they’d all head straight to the morning mass like clockwork...
