Lately, I have observed some rather peculiar developments occurring here on the forum.
The tendency to lock threads, relocate them, or simply allow certain discussions to sink into obscurity feels quite telling of the current atmosphere.
I would like to address the most recent instance.
A discussion regarding sex education was recently locked and moved over to the close politician section—though I am frankly at a loss as to why such a decision was made.

Lawsuits against the Department of Education's decision are just beginning to surface, while lectures across the United States are still in full swing. This entire implementation seems to be a purely political maneuver, especially considering the necessary procedural steps for introducing such a curriculum were completely bypassed.

I find myself questioning why a topic that remains at the very center of public interest, and one where the dispute is far from settled, would be shut down in this manner.

Therefore, I respectfully request that the thread be unlocked and returned to the politics section where it belongs.

Furthermore, I have noticed that over 100 of my own posts have been deleted; while I haven't had the spare time to audit exactly which ones they were, the sheer volume is quite revealing—all of this occurred within a mere two-day window.

I’ve got respect for the moderators on this political board, especially Ryan Vaughn7, who probably had a hand in shutting this down. Honestly, I think the topic is way too big to just lock up or bury in some obscure corner of the forum. If certain posts don't fit the thread, they should be split into their own discussions instead of killing the whole conversation.

I've started noticing that on threads covering this particular spectrum, posts tend to get wiped if they happen to be a little too "uncomfortable" for the progressive or liberal crowd... now, don't get me wrong—moderating a discussion is one thing, but imposing actual censorship just because a moderator's personal worldview feels slighted is something else entirely... honestly, a moderator like that really ought to just admit it—first to themselves, and then to everyone else—that they're being biased, and maybe step back from moderating those specific topics, or even just hand over the keys to the whole PDF setup...

Yeah, I used both my thumb and my index finger for that one. There really isn't anything left to say on this specific topic. If there's something new to discuss later, we'll open it back up. In the meantime, we aren't going to turn this space into a free billboard for people to post their little manifestos about public health and whatnot. No hard feelings to them, though—sending them my best.

Why lock a thread when the whole country is talking about it and the dispute is nowhere near finished?

It’s just easier for moderation—just shut down an incredibly hot, active topic and call it a day.

Splitting off specific parts of a massive discussion into a new thread might be more work, but surely that serves the forum better. Or they could try something else entirely.

The easiest move is to just lock the topic, though sometimes it feels pretty heavy-handed...

Ryan Vaughn7 said:Exactly. I had a thumb and a forefinger once too, but there truly isn't anything groundbreaking left to discuss regarding this matter. If something changes, we will address it then. In the meantime, I have no intention of allowing this forum to be used as a megaphone for those peddling their little health education pamphlets. My regards to them, though.

Actually, there is quite a lot of new information to consider.
The situation involving Professor Poljaković is incredibly relevant right now, particularly when you look at the issue of
Lawsuits.
Reisman is still here in the States.
Then there are the connections between the rekom-ovacs and the supporters of gender ideology.

Hey everyone, I’m totally on board with the moderators' decision. Also, just a quick request to the PŽK mods: please help protect this forum from those endless crusades against the Politics mods—specifically targeting Ryan Vaughn7. jadeseal4 has already started two different threads about this exact issue, focusing on how Ryan Vaughn7 handles moderation and keeps shutting down topics that matter to him. My take? If a topic is important enough for one person, it should probably be considered important for the whole community. 😁

At the same time, I’m asking the site admins to protect this forum from crusades against the Politics mods—specifically against Ryan Vaughn7. jadeseal4 already has two threads about this exact issue: how Ryan Vaughn7 moderates and how he shuts down topics that matter to him. Apparently, if something matters to one guy, it has to matter to everyone immediately. 😁

The engagement here shows people actually care. Honestly, it would be better for the community and easier on the staff if moderation focused on stopping insults and trolling rather than trying to control the direction of every debate. I'm sure Ryan Vaughn7 means well, but it feels like discussions are being stifled using some pretty unfair rules.

Ryan Vaughn7 said:We aren't going to be a free billboard for people pushing their little health and wellness agendas here.

On sites like Reddit, you see organized groups from the Democratic Party and the Republican Party, plus highly agile crews from organizations like DAVID and other anti-religious groups pumping out topics at an industrial pace.

So now one single thread is a "problem" just because it calls into question the credibility of the ZO creator? 😕

northerntiger said:I find myself in agreement with the moderators' recent decision, though I would also take this opportunity to request that the administrators here protect our community from the unnecessary crusades being waged against the Politics section moderators, specifically regarding Ryan Vaughn7. It seems that jadeseal4 already has two separate threads addressing this exact issue—namely, the way Ryan Vaughn7 handles moderation and the tendency to lock discussions that jadeseal4 finds significant. One might argue, however, that if a topic is deemed vital to one individual, it does not necessarily follow that it holds equal weight for every single member of this forum. 😁

The depth of my personal interest in these matters is actually quite secondary.
If you simply observe how much people are talking about them, you will see the point.
However, even if this were purely a matter of my own concern—why bother locking threads at all?—the simple truth remains that if there is no interest, there is nothing to moderate, and that should be the end of it.

I find it rather striking that you seem to support the ban on discussing the threats made against Karolina Vidović Krišto's children.

Honestly, with the way you love throwing labels around, you don't even deserve a seat at the table on this forum. If you ask me, people like you should just get a permanent ban. There are plenty of trashy websites out there where you and your buddies can whine about your enemies or obsess over counting blood cells for Fred Matić—no big deal, except nobody actually reads those sites. That’s the difference here. This forum is the go-to spot in the US and across the whole former Eastern Bloc region, unlike those obscure corners of the web. 😁

John Perez85 said:It feels like there are these highly organized little cells operating on the forums, almost like you have dedicated teams from the Democratic Party and the Republican Party all working in tandem... and then you have those incredibly agile groups from organizations like DAVID and various other anti-religious associations that just seem to churn out new topics at an industrial pace, it’s almost relentless if you stop to think about it...

And now we’ve reached a point where even a single discussion thread becomes an issue, because suddenly everyone is questioning whether the creators of ZO can even be taken seriously anymore... 😕

You also neglected to mention those little outliers from Civil Action who always seem to have their own specific agenda...

When it comes to the whole topic of sex education, our supermoderator Ryan Vaughn7 was actually saying...

The most important sentence in the text following the poll is this one...I honestly feel like the more people actually take the time to wrap their heads around the specifics of the curriculum, the higher the level of support we’ll see for health education... it really just comes down to understanding the foundation first, because once you see how it's all structured, the importance of prioritizing wellness in our schools becomes so much more obvious...That’s exactly why I mentioned that these results weren't really a surprise... It feels like a slow burn, you know? The longer this program actually rolls out, and the more people start to wrap their heads around how they were being played—how they were basically subjected to those Kinesy manipulation tactics and all that nonsense regarding labeling—the more support it's going to get... It just takes time for the reality of it to sink in for everyone...
I was thinking about those recent discussions regarding the shifting political landscape here in America, specifically how the tension between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party seems to be intensifying with every passing election cycle, which makes me wonder if we are heading toward a permanent state of gridlock... It feels like every time a new policy is proposed, the opposition finds a way to turn it into a national debate that lasts for months, almost as if the actual substance of the legislation gets lost in all the noise and the endless shouting matches on cable news. I remember reading an article the other day about how much influence special interest groups have over our local representatives, and it really makes you question whether the average citizen's voice is actually being heard anymore, or if we're all just caught in this massive machine that's designed to keep us divided... I saw a comment from jadeseal4 earlier that touched on this, suggesting that the polarization isn't just a side effect but perhaps a feature of the current system, though I'm not entirely sure I agree with that cynical view, because I still like to believe in the fundamental strength of our democratic institutions, even if they feel a bit shaky right now... It's a lot to process when you look at how different cities react to the same federal mandates, with some places embracing them instantly while others fight them tooth and nail, creating this strange patchwork of reality across the country... anyway, I suppose I'm just rambling, but it feels like a significant moment in our history where everything is up in the air and nobody seems to have a clear handle on where we're going next...

Closing this thread down isn't exactly going to help anyone get more informed, is it...

And that really goes to show how much we need to see similar levels of support for health education... specifically when it comes to sexual wellness and comprehensive guidance...

Wouldn't you agree, Ryan Vaughn7... 😉

You should be ashamed👎

James Patel20 only got slapped with a ban because he dropped those links for Theo, which clearly had nothing to do with the topic. Funny how it actually tied back to Reisamanica, though—as soon as people started digging into him, they shut the whole thread down immediately. (I'm talking about that Reisman thread). Total blinders. It’s pathetic. 👎

It's your call what you do with this post, but I've said my piece.☕

Ryan Vaughn7 said:Did I already give this a thumbs up and a finger point? Pretty sure I did. There’s really nothing left to add to this thread at the moment—if anything actually changes, I guess the discussion will open back up on its own. In the meantime, let's not turn this place into a free billboard for people trying to push their little manifestos on everyone else—you know, that crowd obsessed with public health lectures and whatnot. Not that I have anything against them, mind you—sending them my best, truly.

It feels like we’re basically hitting a wall here—like someone just slapped a "do not enter" sign on the whole conversation. It's essentially tabooing the subject, which, if you think about it, is really just a fancy way of saying free speech is being shut down. I mean, I'm curious, though—what exactly is the logic being used here? What’s the underlying principle that suddenly makes this specific topic off-limits for any further discussion?

I mean, if that's really how things are standing... I guess we'll just have to see where it goes. Maybe? It feels like one of those situations where you're waiting for the other shoe to drop—you know what I mean? Everything seems sort of up in the air right now. I don't have any content to rewrite yet. Please provide the posts you want me to transform! If this topic is becoming a total taboo around here—which, honestly, feels like it’s happening—then I’m putting out a call to everyone following this thread. Let's just reach an informal agreement to find an alternative spot or channel where we can actually talk about this stuff openly. I mean, if this forum isn't willing to host the conversation, I'm sure someone else out there would be happy to provide a space for some honest debate—especially since, you know, free speech is pretty much guaranteed by the Constitution and international law. It's not like we're asking for much, really.

Friendship is a funny thing. It’s rarely about those big, cinematic gestures you see in movies. Honestly, I think those are mostly exaggerated anyway. Real friendship usually lives in the quiet, mundane gaps of life. It’s the person who knows exactly how you take your coffee without asking, or the friend who stays on the phone while you fold laundry, even if neither of you says much at all. I’ve been thinking lately about how much effort it takes to maintain these bonds as we get older. Life gets loud. Careers pick up speed, cities change, and suddenly you realize it’s been months since you actually sat down with someone for a decent meal. It’s easy to let things drift. I’m guilty of it, personally. I tend to retreat into my own head too often. But there’s a certain weight to a long-term friend. They hold the archives of who you used to be. They remember your old failures and your even older triumphs. There is something deeply grounding about being known—really known—and still being accepted. It’s not always perfect. We argue, we drift, we miss calls. But that’s just part of the process, I suppose. It’s worth the effort. It really is. kaže:
It seems like you were about to say something, but the thought trailed off. If you were going to mention the current state of things—or perhaps how certain situations are trending—I’m all ears. I tend to ramble when I get started, so please, don't let my tendency to wander discourage you. Just finish your thought whenever you're ready. forum.hr Since this topic seems to be becoming a total taboo, I’m putting out a call to everyone here. Let’s try to reach some sort of mutual understanding. I think we should find an alternative space or a different channel where we can actually discuss this openly without all the walking on eggshells.

I’m in. Count me in on this one.

If this forum is trying to make this topic off-limits...

I find it hard to believe—unless the decision to close, open, or move any thread is made collectively by all sub-mods, the head admin overseeing Politics, and the rest of the leadership team—but I have a feeling that isn't how it's working here.

northerntiger said:With that kind of pathetic labeling—which seems to be your trademark—you don't even deserve a shot at posting on this forum. As far as I'm concerned, people like you should just get a permanent ban. There are plenty of shady corners of the internet where you and your crowd can wallow together, obsessing over enemies or counting the red blood cells in Fred Matić’s body. No big deal, really; the only catch is that nobody actually reads those sites, unlike this forum, which remains one of the most popular spots in the US and beyond, unlike that hated old USSR.😁

And why do you talk like that? Are you the owner of the site now, deciding who belongs in the "shady" corners? What are you trying to say? That if someone doesn't radiate that specific vibe, they aren't "read"? Do we all have to blow the same horn, just like back in the old USSR? Hasn't that era passed yet? Or is that just too hard for you to accept?

If people are interested in a topic, why shut it down? If they aren't interested, then the thread just dies a natural death on its own.

The activists from Vigilara and Grape have started flooding this forum with spam because they’ve become total nobodies everywhere else—basically just one-hit wonders in the political scene.

It’s been their go-to tactic since they launched their campaign against sex education. Suddenly, our city is crawling with those four-legged agitators—pamphlet spam, email blasts about posters for the Fin dead girls (Mestar even bragged about personally emailing the director at Gavella), and endless spam citing Judith Reisman to harass their local university and physically overwhelm the entire philosophy department. Just constant, relentless spam.
