northernpilot2 said:I’ve been chewing on that same thought, and honestly, after reading through your proposal, I'm thinking we definitely need to look into tweaking the vBulletin setup down the road to head in that direction.

I honestly don't get how nobody thought of this sooner; you obviously have to have spent some serious time messing around with vBulletin to even realize this. Henry Hernandez7, did you stumble onto this somewhere or did that idea just pop into your head?

Anyway, it's an interesting situation.

Since there isn't much happening on the forums lately—mostly because we can't touch politics and I don't have my master PDF handy—I just had this random thought pop into my head.

...it’s pretty much the same story; Henry Hernandez7 is actually the one responsible for cleaning up the basic rules of engagement here,
we really ought to look into whether sending unsolicited mail under some fake pretext actually qualifies as legitimate spam... 🤷
...I honestly think Anonymous should be taking a serious look at this proposal,
seeing as the people cranking out all this junk mail are being unfairly restricted in their own freedom of expression...

It would probably be best if he follows through on his initiative entirely before reaching out to the vBulletin team with his specific technical proposal: http://www.vbulletin.com/contacts/ 👍
I suspect the company actually values feedback from users who suggest ways to improve their service, so they might just take it under consideration. It isn't as if what Miky is asking for is some impossible feat of programming; it's more likely that the idea simply hasn't crossed anyone's mind yet...
