Hey there!

Does anyone know if there are specific inserts designed for the heel bone? I’m not entirely sure if that’s the right medical term, but I mean that little protrusion right where the Achilles tendon connects—you know, that part that sticks out just a bit... In my case, it's a little more pronounced than most, so basically any shoe I wear ends up rubbing against it and causing pain. I've been scouring Google, but all I can find are standard heel cushions meant for the bottom of the foot, which doesn't help much at all. I did stumble upon something online that looks promising called an Achilles tendon pad, which seems like it might cover that bony area too, but unfortunately, the shop is based overseas and shipping would be a nightmare... Has anyone seen anything similar available here in the States?

Is this kind of what we're looking at?

So, yeah, they're technically marketed as women's shoes, but I don't think that’s really an issue if you want to rock them with a guy's fit. My brother actually wears them all the time, no big deal.🤣
Plus, they've got some kind of gel padding inside, which makes them super comfy, I guess.

Oh, that’s awesome. Thanks so much!

So, where can I actually pick this up? Like, should I be looking in a pharmacy, at a CVS, or is it just something you can find at any local grocery store...

Check your DMs. Sometimes they just vanish into thin air, I guess, but usually, they're hanging out there somewhere. You’ll probably stumble upon what you're looking for in one of them eventually.

There’s actually another way to handle this:

You could hit up your primary care doctor, see an orthopedic specialist, and get some custom medical inserts;

Or, you just go straight to the source, get a professional mold made, and have custom orthotics built from scratch...

Honestly, I wouldn't trust those one-size-fits-all inserts any further than I can throw them.
