I was ready to go the second I got discharged from the hospital. As for sports and being active? I've been good to go since the day before yesterday when they finally took my cast off—at least, that's what the doctor tells me. Just gotta make sure nobody takes a swing at my nose.

Hey everyone, I've been lurking here for a while now, so I finally decided to share my own experience. I had nose surgery 7 days ago with Dr. Zambelli. So far, I'm happy with how the procedure went, but I won't be removing the nasal cast for another three days... After the surgery, the bruising was intense—my eyes were practically swollen shut from all the swelling—but by day 4, most of the bruises had cleared up. Even though I had the packing removed 4 days ago, breathing still isn't quite normal yet. I’ve been cleaning my nose with saline solution three times a day, since my doctor told me not to overdo it. I hope this helps someone out, because reading these posts was what finally gave me the courage to go through with it...

So, just wanted to brag a little—I recently had a successful (well, so far!) surgery to fix my deviated septum...

I didn't get it done here in the States, so I’m honestly a bit surprised when you guys describe having those nasal tampons shoved in there—I actually ended up with two balloons placed after the procedure instead of the usual packing.
The very next day, they just deflated the balloons and slid them out pretty easily. After that, I just had some plastic molding left inside, which they took out two weeks later (though, surprisingly, I could breathe the whole damn time).

For now, it feels like recovery is going to be smooth sailing, assuming I don't do anything stupid like sneeze or blow my nose too hard.

Pilates and running?? There won't be any impact. 🙂
Do you think it’s okay to push it after, say, two weeks? Like, being able to exercise with my head turned downward and stuff like that?

Yeah, you can.

super !! Thanks Bruce, you're officially my favorite person on this forum now!! 😁
Just kidding... I realize everyone's situation is different, but it's really nice to hear that someone's recovery is going that well. It gives you hope, I guess, in any case. 🙂

It would be wonderful if you could check in occasionally to give us an update on your progress... especially once that cast comes off!🙂

How is it that you aren't breathing normally yet?? What does the doctor say about that?

So, I sent an email over to the Dr. Toncic Clinic a few days ago with some photos of my nose... and their response was basically that if I want them to fix this $167tip🙂, it's going to set me back about $6,000.
Well, nothing else to do now but start saving up those pennies...

Thanks Kimberly Hughes17 for the kind wishes. I'm removing the mold tomorrow, so I'll let you know if I'm happy with how it looks.
wanderingnomad13, obviously I can breathe through my right nostril, but the left side is still totally blocked. I have an appointment with Dr. Cikojević tomorrow to figure out what's going on. He used both open and closed techniques... it was a pretty intense surgery, so maybe that's why breathing is still such a struggle. Tomorrow marks ten days since the operation, so it's all still very recent...

I took the cast off yesterday and I’m honestly thrilled with how everything looks... the doctor did a fantastic job. He explained that because of the swelling, I still can't breathe through my left nostril, but told me not to worry since it should clear up in a few days.

Oh, what wonderful news! It sounds like you are really happy with the results 🙂🙂 ...and that swelling will definitely subside. Tell me, is the change significant?

Guess I just gotta start saving up now...

I actually went to get my nose tweaked at that same clinic myself—honestly, no regrets about the cash or those little aches at the start. I'm super happy with how it turned out, so hopefully you'll feel the same way!

Hello, I figured I’d jump in here and share my own experience. I had surgery today in NYC (specifically my bump and the tip of my nose), and honestly, because I was so terrified beforehand, everything went surprisingly well. It actually went so smoothly that I’m starting to wonder if they even touched my nose at all—or if they just pocketed the cash and slapped a Band-Aid on it. 😉 For the most part, there's no pain, no bruising, and I can eat totally normally. They used local anesthesia enhanced with something else, so I was conscious through the whole procedure; I even opened my eyes a few times, and I think I might have even said something (though my memory is a bit hazy, like I was dreaming). Once the surgery was over, I made dozens of phone calls, and now that I'm back home, I feel great. I’m eagerly counting down the days until they remove the molds in a week, and I'm really hoping the results stay this positive. If they do, I’ll be more than happy to share some before and after photos and give a glowing recommendation for the doctor. Best wishes to everyone!!

I figured I’d jump in here to offer some encouragement to those of you who are still waiting on your surgery. 🙂
I had my procedure Monday morning using local anesthesia—honestly, it’s the greatest thing ever 😍—and I didn't feel a single thing, no pain, no nausea, no dizziness, nothing at all. I was able to head home the very same day, and I went in to have the tampons removed today without any pain either, so I’m feeling pretty satisfied with how things are going so far, and hopefully it stays this smooth once everything is finally removed. After spending hours scrolling through endless pages on these forums, I had convinced myself I’d be doubled over in agony for at least a week, but in reality, there wasn't even a hint of discomfort, which turned out to be super !! 😁

Fine by me—please do! Nobody ever actually posts pictures, so since you offered, it would be awesome😍

Besides, I don't see any "subtle change" in Antonija Mandić's nose. All I notice is that her nasal bridge is way more prominent now—that's about it

I'm functioning perfectly after the surgery... haven't felt any pain at all. Felt great as soon as they took the tampons out. I also had chin liposuction done alongside the nose job, and so far, I'm beyond happy with the results.

super !! I’m still saving up for my own surgery (I’m still just a high schooler, so I only have a tiny bit of cash tucked away 🙂 ), but I seriously can't wait to get it over with. I've just been feeling so self-conscious about my profile lately... plus, I know it's going to be such a huge boost for my confidence! ....if you don't mind me asking, how much did your "touch-up" end up costing? 😉
