Personally, I'd go with the 7750.

500GB Apple HDD, 7200rpm, 16MB cache, SATA II-300, F3
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550W PSU - EasyRail technology
Dell Optical Drive, DVD±RW, 24x DVD±R, 8x DL, 40x CD-R
Gigabyte GZ-X8, midi tower, no PSU, black-silver, USB
DDR3 4GB (2x2GB) Kingmax, 1333MHz, FLFE
AMD Ryzen i5-2500K 3.3GHz, 1MB/6MB, 95W, Socket 1155
ASUS Motherboard, Socket: 1155, Skylake, Intel Z77, 4xDDR3
My GPU is a GTX 1060.

Instead of that card—since it's giving me some trouble—I want to grab something else. Here are the candidates I'm looking at:
http://www.bestbuy.com/product_info.php?products_id=11306
http://www.bestbuy.com/product_info.php?products_id=12504
http://www.bestbuy.com/product_info.php?products_id=12706

Price $500 (+-$17) max. Which one would you guys pick?
I mainly need it for gaming. 🙂

Also, would the new card actually work with my current build? (Just thinking about the power supply and the motherboard)

If I were you, I'd stretch my budget a bit for $67 more and just go with this one. http://www.bestbuy.com/product_info.php?products_id=12730

Don't sweat it—your setup is more than solid, and it'll handle that card without breaking a sweat.

So, would you say the GTX 670 actually outperforms the GTX 660 Ti?

It probably isn't by much. If there's a huge price gap, it's just not worth it.

Personally, I'd go with the MSI—they offer a longer warranty and it's overclocked. After that, maybe Sapphire because they have dual fans.
Avoid NVIDIA if you can when they only have a single fan.

If it doesn't have to be from Best Buy, you can probably find a 7770 at other shops for that kind of cash.

Hey everyone—what’s the deal with this new NVIDIA card, the Atlas? Is this actually next-gen stuff, or is it just another iteration of the 6xx series? Like, is it seriously the most powerful graphics card on the planet right now?

Are you looking for an AGP or a PCI-E card? Definitely PCI-E.
What’s your current or planned setup, and what kind of power supply are we talking about? I'm running an Intel Pentium, Socket AM3 (938); Manufacturer: MSI, Model: GF615M-P33 (MS-7597); Size: 4096 MB.
What resolution are you playing at? Whatever the Monitor Max Resolution is, as long as League of Legends runs smoothly.
What’s your budget? Up to $200
Which stores are you considering? Honestly, I don't care.

It's likely just some off-brand power supply, so this is probably the best you can do up to $200.

Check this out: http://www.ditech.at/artikel/GPZ2G18...il_2048MB.html

The GPU clock on this thing is actually way higher than those overpriced PoV cards you see everywhere.

It actually sports a much beefier GPU clock than those pricier custom-brand cards you see floating around.

Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly! Just one more thing—this specific model comes with 2048 MB of memory, but I noticed some of the others have 3072 MB. Does that difference actually matter that much in the grand scheme of things?

If you aren't running a triple-monitor setup, there's really no reason you'd need 3GB of VRAM on your graphics card.

Planning on gaming? If so, the GTX 1050 is probably too weak. A GTX 1060 would be a better bet, though I guess an HD 7750 (with GDDR5) or an HD 7770 might be a decent alternative.

Hey everyone, I don't want to clutter things up with a brand new thread, but I'm looking at picking up a used HD 4850 from Craigslist. I noticed there are a ton of different versions listed on there—Gainward, Toxic, EVGA, and so on.

http://www.craigslist.org/search/images?query=hd+4850

Now I'm totally stuck on which one to grab. I just need it to run ARMA 3 and maybe some other random games on decent settings. Nothing crazy, just something solid that works.

Here's my current rig:
Intel Core 2 Duo clocked at 2800 MHz
3 GB RAM
ASUS ROG motherboard
500 W power supply

Thanks for getting back to me!
And yeah, definitely for gaming.
Any other NVIDIA recommendations?
Honestly, I'm done with AMD—just constant headaches with their cards.
Every time I've used AMD, it's been a total nightmare.
Plus, apparently the whole HD series has nothing but driver issues.
I've also dealt with some annoying fluff issues in The Sims 4 Pets.
I play a bunch of different stuff besides just The Sims.
FPS, RPGs, adventures, NFS, Tomb Raider, and The Sims.

Gainward($107) or EVGA($133)... the others seem way too expensive or they use those single-slot coolers that aren't really great.

@Olivia Collins5 Heh, you know, I've only ever had issues with NVIDIA, but never with AMD 😬 ... though I guess I always look at the value for money.

The GTX 1060 isn't really worth it for $283, I'd probably go with a GTX 1060 Ti for around $350, but that might be total overkill for what you need.

Thanks for the reply! Tell me straight, how much better is this card actually going to be compared to an HD 4850?
