Test /not working "for banned users"!

I’ve already reached out to the Administrators and moderators—Anderson, Uncle Strile, Nica, Tyndall, and Scotsman—at least five or six times, asking them to lift my permanent ban from the diaspora forum!

I received two responses from Uncle Strile... which weren't accurate, and nothing from Katherine or Skattemus so far.

I’m asking them to please take a moment to actually review everything I’ve sent, rather than just getting automated-style replies from Skattemus:

I agree he’s a great source of information and loves to help, but flooding threads with massive posts that have nothing to do with the topic, provocations, trolling, and spamming simply cannot be tolerated. Even after several warnings, nothing changed. There's nothing more I can do; I'm sorry.

👍It works! Someone must have changed the status without telling me, because they updated "the ban wasn't working 1-2 days ago" to "it still doesn't work for banned users!"

Is all of this actually true?
Are you all really too busy to check the posts I wrote?

Why does the opinion differ from what Strikalica said in the text I provided?

June 8, 2011, 5:00 PM

Please change the tone of this discussion.

Adding this:

There are plenty of reports filed against Jamie Clark74 (mostly by the usual crowd, right?). Whenever there was a legitimate reason to penalize him, it happened. Usually with long bans. I even handed them out myself. He was never given special treatment.

But there should be some level of understanding. If not protection, then at least empathy.

His posts, his stats, his fonts, his images... everything about him seems to get under your skin. But the moment you need an informed answer, you come running to him. And once again, he has enough heart to step up and help.

Of all the forum users in the US (including the diaspora), Jamie Clark74 is by far the "most useful" to future immigrants. Without disrespecting the rest of you—because there are wonderful people here—there's a small group constantly targeting him. He outgrew them thirty years ago. If not through his knowledge of immigration, then certainly through his culture, patience, sympathy, and generosity.

So, the mass reporting of Jamie Clark74's posts stops here. Consider this a 30-point warning. Unless someone is flagrantly breaking the Forum rules, stop it. While that isn't the case, just deal with the fact that someone is putting in effort to keep you informed and is always available to help. You'll survive.

I am simply asking you to look at my recent posts before I was suddenly hit with a lifetime ban... especially since others were complaining about deletions and penalties just like now, yet I hadn't written anything, as you can see from the posts. "WHY AM I BANNED THEN?" Just ask yourselves, be honest and attentive, and you'll see there was no reason to permanently ban me from the diaspora.

Posts prior to banning:
http://www.forum.com/showpost.php?p=3...postcount=7181

http://www.forum.com/showpost.php?p=3...postcount=7187

http://www.forum.com/showpost.php?p=3...postcount=7217

http://www.forum.com/showpost.php?p=3...postcount=7219

http://www.forum.com/showpost.php?p=3...postcount=7221
The rest never arrived because of the ban.

Look, I’m not claiming to be perfect. I write a lot, and I know I’ve tripped up on the rules before—I actually complained about it when something was deleted recently. But the bottom line is this: I still don't have access to the Diaspora or the PZK sections.

That said, I’ve never insulted anyone (feel free to point out a single post where I did) or tried to provoke anyone. As for "spamming," that’s a pretty broad term. If someone considers my posts spam because I wrote them in English first and then translated them into American English... well, to some, that’s spam, but to others, it’s just advice on moving abroad or sharing life experiences.

I’m asking one more time: please grant me access to the Diaspora and PZK. If I mess up or break a rule, just charge me with it. Go ahead and ban me if you have to—I won't be begging for mercy like I am now.
P.S.
I’m not bringing this up to make excuses for my posting habits, but simply to explain my current reality.
My medical situation is quite difficult. It’s been an ongoing battle, but over the last 10 months, I’ve lost a fight with kidney and bladder cancer, and I'm now facing a lifelong struggle with bladder cancer.
Pain medication hasn't really been an option for me, following a psychiatrist's advice from 20 years ago (and I've been on this forum since 2003). Instead, I pour everything I can into research. Everything I write helps me manage through the chronic pain, but I have plenty of patience, as many other forum members have noted. My health isn't what dictates how much I post.

I admit I made a mistake when I was permanently banned by trying to bypass it with the account Banana bender. I think there are about 14 posts there where you can see I haven't insulted a soul.
Regarding those accusations, here is the rest of the story.!!!!!

From moderator Skattemus:

Dukkai said:I honestly think this has become completely senseless.

Look, if you can't carry on a civil conversation, you honestly deserve nothing less than a few days in the timeout corner. Based on what I’ve seen during my time following and posting on the diaspora forum, the threads about America are constantly sparking drama. Why? I haven't a clue.

I’m not entirely sure how much this fits the topic or the vibe of the group, but I have noticed something. It seems like quite a few people living abroad—whether they're in Canada, Australia, or Germany—tend to get pretty aggressive when others just ask a simple question or try to start a discussion.
Everyone on this forum provides incredibly valuable and interesting insights, but honestly, we could all probably stand to dial back the intensity just a little bit.

Given the current situation here in the States, I expect we’ll see more and more people heading over to the forums to talk things out or hunt for information. It seems like a lot of folks can't see any way forward other than just moving abroad.
But honestly, once they move on to the topic of Australia, Jamie Clark74 is going to tear them apart. He’ll start questioning exactly what they think they're getting out of it, pointing out that unemployment exists there too, and reminding everyone that what they think they know actually means nothing because there are fifteen other requirements they haven't even considered yet. He’ll likely run into that same treatment from Actros on the Germany thread, plus a few other folks like MaliZeleni and Ivo R on different topics. It’s no surprise people are feeling frustrated.

Man, things are pretty rough in the States right now, and it’s making a lot of people consider moving abroad. The problem is, when they reach out for advice, half the feedback they get is just: "Don't bother coming back, it's a mess here." It's frustrating because those are two completely different types of problems. One is about life being difficult, and the other is about how people react. There's a huge difference between struggling and feeling unwelcome.

I’d watch my language a bit... if someone is taking shots at you personally because they couldn't come up with an actual answer, that's just poor form.

With six different threads on emigration and thousands of posts... which ones exactly are you talking about?

I’ll drop the first link I have on hand. It covers a lot of ground, though as the moderators usually tell me, I’m just "spamming and breaking the rules of the diaspora."

People tend to talk nonsense online. That’s why I always back my claims up with links or data tables. I want to prove what I'm saying is actually true, rather than just relying on hearsay.

It’s all right here on the same link, and honestly, we've seen this exact advice recycled at least a thousand times already.

3/4/2012

Wog Boy mentioned some links shared by Jamie Clark74 regarding immigrants arriving in the US... I've included the updated version below, which I polished up after posting it on another forum!

Between all the hype and the constant media coverage, I wonder how much work is actually available at that $75,000 level in the mining sectors out in Western US states like Nevada or Arizona. Wog Boy mentioned $150,000 yesterday, but honestly, if you think Americans are flocking to the States by the thousands every single year just for those numbers, I wouldn't blame you for being skeptical.

The numbers vary depending on the year, but we’re looking at roughly 150,000 to 175,000 immigrants. Most of them come from the USA, though there's a significant number of people arriving from various Asian countries as well.

I'm just waiting for the "experts" to chime in and start peddling that same old nonsense about hundreds of thousands of immigrants flooding in. We've heard it all before.

But the following data will show you exactly how much actually came over from the States.

2008-2009=143
2009-2010= 89
2010-2011= 84**

The discrepancy between the 1.6 and 2.5 figures—specifically regarding those 11 individuals from the US—is simply because they had already established residency in Australia and secured their legal right to stay.

Click the link to check out the plates (just trying to avoid any spamming).

It’s just like I said: hundreds of people would jump at the chance to move here. So, what's the actual issue?

Like I’ve mentioned before, and just like everyone else has been stating for months or even years now:

a/ up to age 45 inclusive
b/ the specific profession, occupation, or skill required on the official list
c/ any necessary certification or additional exams to have your skills recognized here in Australia
d/ 2 to 5 years of experience in the field, depending on the specific requirements
e/ passing the IELTS English exam, with points varying by occupation

On paper, it looks simple enough. The real hurdle is that a standard high school diploma or a general liberal arts education doesn't help you much. It’s like trying to practice Law without the right credentials. The same goes for Medicine; whether you're a doctor or a registered nurse, you're going to have to sit for exams or complete extra training.

I actually looked into the medical side quite deeply, even asking Dr. Bronco to write down his take on the situation, which I've reviewed several times. I've also sent out emails and gathered contact info for various institutions myself.

I won't dwell on this anymore...especially regarding certain people or forums that call others trash, or those who insult anyone "who arrived in Australia with a RED PASSPORT"—which basically targets about 150,000 to 200,000 people with all sorts of names.

It's hard not to respond when I think about how some people act—either criticizing everything back home while they're living in Australia, or acting like everything back home is perfect while they're there and trashing Australia.

Take care!

Look, I was actually following the thread started by this post of yours which just backs up everything I’ve been saying in what you quoted above...
Plus, your whole mindset is pretty obvious in this post.. What's even weirder is that both are on a topic about Canada..
No, they definitely weren't trying to be provocative... ☕

Jamie Clark74 said:👍 It’s working now! Someone must have gone in and changed the setting without telling me... I had put "the ban isn't working" because it wasn't functioning a day or two ago, but it turns out the ban feature still isn't actually working at all...

Only banned users and the admin crew can post in the banned corner...

Jamie Clark74 said:Can someone please just take a look at the last things I posted? Out of nowhere, I just got hit with a permanent ban...

Look, we don't just hand out partial bans for the hell of it, so you didn't get yours by accident either... You earned it by constantly pushing the limits, making comments about the moderation and how things are run here, spamming, and basically just poking at both the users and the staff to see how far you could go. Not to mention all those insults sent through private messages...

Jamie Clark74 said:Look, I’m not saying I’m perfect—I write a ton, so I definitely make mistakes here and there... and I'm not claiming I haven't broken any rules, either...

It’s honestly just massive at this point, especially since you guys wouldn't listen even after endless warnings, deleted posts, strikes, and those short bans... but every single time, you just go right back to doing the exact same thing...

Jamie Clark74 said:I was just trying to write things out the way I would in English since there weren't any links provided back then, and then translating everything into American... I mean, I'm sure some people are going to call it spamming, but for others, it’s actually solid advice about moving abroad or just sharing real life experiences...

You didn't get hit with any infractions for translating those posts or dropping links about emigration... everything stayed totally clean...

Jamie Clark74 said:If I’m actually messing up or doing something wrong, then why am I constantly getting called out... honestly, just let the moderators ban me already... and I promise you, I won't be sitting here praying for mercy like I am right now...

It’s already happening, it’s just that you guys didn't take the early warnings seriously enough. Unfortunately...

Jamie Clark74 said:And yeah, I messed up back when I was PERMABANNED by making a clone account like banana Bender, I think there are 14 posts over there where you can see I wasn't actually insulting anyone...

It doesn't matter whether you were being rude or not, you still broke the rules by cloning accounts and posting on the diaspora side...

No, there was absolutely no intention to provoke anyone... ☕

I don't see anything wrong at all with the post made on the "CANADA thread."

You and hundreds of others are constantly asking the exact same questions regarding Canada and Australia!

The reason I cited that specific case is because I knew the whole story: I got an ad for Whyall One steel from a friend in Whyalle, and then my son emailed me the details about when he's leaving and where he landed a job.

And I don't see anything wrong with anything I wrote, except for your statement: Saying you work with electricians—my point is that doesn't mean you're qualified, or even enough for Australia to land a job. You haven't completed an apprenticeship... it doesn't matter what you did with others... it's not a trade. And besides, where is the certification process for us electricians or engineers if Australian regulations require it?

The gauntlet has been thrown!

I had to run a backup since I'm currently cleaning everything out, but regardless, I still have a few pieces that belong here.

You need a little bit of salesmanship, but you also need to actually get the work done at the same time.

I know I kept backups of everything, but even then, I still wouldn't believe the sheer stupidity of this moderation!

I'll just give you a few examples that show how they hand out penalties and deletions for absolutely nothing!
Fine, then prove that I'm the one at fault!

Hey everyone, how's it going? This is just a spot for quick messages, greetings, and anything else that doesn't quite fit into the other threads!

To the moderators of the diaspora section: please think twice before deleting this new thread. It’s meant for people who just want to change things up or chat with others without feeling forced into specific, pre-existing topics... especially since those other threads get wiped out anyway.
post.

There are almost as many of us living abroad as there are back home in America. It’s just that not everyone speaks up—some people don't realize they're part of the group, some aren't interested, and plenty are just getting on in years... kind of like me.

So, if John wants to send a quick hello to Sylvia... where exactly is he supposed to post that?

Maybe (I’m just one example here), not everyone needs a topic like this, but most people definitely want one.

So, why won't they just give the people what they want and let us discuss a simple topic that most of us actually care about?

Thanks, and I hope—on behalf of everyone else here—that you’ll choose to be "positive this time and actually do what so many of us are asking for."

Honestly, why don't we just start a "User Poll" here... specifically for those folks posting in the diaspora groups too!

I’m taking this opportunity to say hello to all the folks on Reddit I’ve met since March 2003.

An insult carries the same weight whether it stands alone or is buried under a mountain of text in a reply.

As usual, it’s probably best to just sweep everything under the rug.

I take this challenge very seriously, just as I did when I provided my own response.

Getting a warning or having a post deleted in the diaspora? It’s really nothing to be surprised about. It happens fast, and if you start pushing back, you'll find yourself banned before you know it.

Jamie Clark74 responds:
I lost about 500 to 1,000 posts once, and I learned my lesson: the moderators are always right... damn.
It might be better to just stay quiet. You're going to end up getting banned for nothing soon—just because you decided to stand up for yourself a couple of times.

I'd suggest reposting this over in the Australia Immigration thread.

I have plenty more examples like this, but honestly, what’s the point? In America, they convict you without any actual law to back it up. It feels like some moderators just make up their own rules as they go.

So, if I managed to mess up something out of 7,800 posts... what's the big deal?

Do you want me to show you all the posts where people are being insulted and called names—including myself—without anyone getting penalized?

I flagged those posts for the moderators and... absolutely nothing. Not even a peep.

I didn't include the private message where I was being rude to the moderator, crimsonsailor7... WHY? Because maybe I'm just afraid.😁😂🤣
============================================
As a 70-year-old with two grown sons, ages 49 and 38, and four grandkids—three of whom are adults and one who's ten—I feel I've gained enough life experience to know a thing or two about raising kids and guiding young adults.

I don't see how all this unnecessary punishing and deleting posts actually accomplishes anything... Honestly, even us adults act like kids sometimes!😁

Look, I’m not saying we don't make mistakes too. But let's be honest—we're being constantly provoked by moderation and the endless deleting of facts. It just keeps happening.

In my case, crimsonsailor7 really just needed to look over the warnings issued back in June 2011 by ambermason16.

Most of us live in democratic countries.

And honestly, the constant whining from certain users is just incredibly rude... I think they know exactly what they're doing.

Even today's message on the diaspora board isn't helping at all:

http://www.reddit.com/showpost.php?p=4...postcount=7559

I’m not sure how else to make this clear: this isn't a discussion about how moderation should work. One more comment like this and you're banned for three days.

Are you actually serious?

So, we’re still buying into the lies and the deleted posts? It feels like the moderators are just looking for a reason to start a fight.
Doesn't it seem obvious from these posts that it's all just lies? Is it just pure moderator corruption?

Just a quick reminder for you, young man (Daniel Ward87):

Sent on March 13, 2012, via Reddit email.

Take a look back at my past posts and threads. I’ve contributed quite a bit to this community, especially within the diaspora section. I can't even count how many thousands of pieces of advice I've shared while opening and closing threads about emigration and life in Australia.

It’s honestly heartbreaking that someone in their 70s has to beg for help over something that should never have happened in the first place.

Please keep the conversation focused on the topic at hand and refrain from posting massive photos. And the weather forecast, too. It feels like spam everywhere I look.
A final warning for some, and a reality check for others.

I think it's pretty clear what's going on here.

3/4/2012

Dear Jamie Clark74,

It looks like the moderators have already stepped in to warn everyone about posting large maps and weather forecasts in the Australia thread. Look, there’s such a thing as subforum rules, and the Diaspora section definitely has them. It might be worth giving them a quick read so you can tailor your posts to fit the guidelines. The moderators get swamped sometimes and can come off a bit harsh, but honestly, your posts aren't really following the rules—especially since they're being repeated even after moderator warnings.

Looking at Daniel Ward87's response... honestly, I don't get it. I’ve been hit with warnings and bans on massive threads for things that "simply aren't true." I even got banned from the diaspora groups without committing any actual violation, and then people started complaining. They ended up being penalized and having their posts wiped, yet somehow I'm the one getting banned from the diaspora community. Why? What was everyone's problem with the posts being deleted?
======================================
I got hit with a one-month ban just for posting two different weather forecasts. Is that really necessary?

People keep asking me about the weather in Australia... honestly, I wish I could just set up a live, auto-updating dashboard that shows the daily forecast and temperatures across the entire country.

That’s how everyone can more easily spot the differences across such a massive continent!

image

Here’s the weather forecast for tomorrow!

image

Current temperature in Australia!

I feel like I’m just banging my head against a wall here. 🙂

It looks like I’m good for nothing else. 😂🤣

crimsonsailor7 said:Look, Jamie Clark74, 🤦 no effort was wasted here, and please don't turn this thread into a circus by nitpicking every single card. You already did that on the diaspora boards and in the corner during the last ban.

It isn't a circus; it's proof that the moderators were deleting posts they didn't like, just as I've shown. I actually have backups of several instances.

Lying to and deceiving users is your whole foundation... and plenty of people have proven it. No one trusts the two of you anymore.

Where is your conscience?

You delete posts even when they show someone being insulted (as I’ve demonstrated, and there were dozens of those).

You've deleted completely irrelevant posts that did nothing wrong.

You're pathetic, not professional... and no, you won't admit you were wrong or that you provoked users by deleting posts that had no reason to be removed.

You might have a law degree, BUT you clearly don't know due process—at least not on the diaspora boards.

You're inexperienced, and you don't realize that people who have lived in a democracy for 46 years see things differently than you do.

I was once in court representing my wife and called a specialist doctor a liar. The reason? He claimed he had stated everything he knew, and I told him I wasn't finished with him. Even though he swore on the Bible, he insisted he had to go because he couldn't waste time and had surgery scheduled. I called him a liar and told him he could sue me. When the judge asked if he had anything else to say, he started stuttering. That's when I said, "You're a liar providing false medical reports because you're being paid by an employer who disagrees with two other specialists. You're lying about the surgery, too. Take the Bible in your hands and tell us again about this surgery." It wasn't true. I knew he was just seeing sick, injured people and trying to screw them over, making them lie and blaming other doctors who held different opinions.

Well, the useless specialist left with his tail between his legs after being called a liar and proven wrong.

They clearly didn't realize they were targeting someone who was union-trained and qualified as a Safety and welfare officer.
And once I started bringing up rehabilitation laws and negligence on the job, everything stopped. The decision wasn't delayed for eight months; the employer's representative was actually bragging about how my wife would have to pay everything back, until I saw him and told him he was talking nonsense... and I told him exactly what I thought of him.
I even called out the judge's secretary... and then a letter arrived with copies for everyone stating that while no decision had been made, my wife's statements and the medical opinions were to be believed.

The story goes on, but I basically took down the employer, the judge, and everyone involved. Everything was settled "because I always know what I'm doing"... I have experience, and I know right from wrong.

crimsonsailor7, you'd better stay quiet unless you want a reality check.
People don't want to get involved; there are dozens of them who haven't been able to stand either of you for a long time. You do wrong things, and people notice.

As for the sycophants who contribute nothing and "just enjoy watching you change your minds every day"... nothing honest will ever come from them.

They live hand to mouth.

That's why they fit in on this forum without any trouble.

😢😳😠

We once had top-tier moderators like secundo and Hobbit, also known as Adex... there were issues, sure, BUT they were different kinds of problems... mostly dealing with second or third-generation extremists and similar types!
Kids who grew up fueled by nothing but the stories passed down from their parents and grandparents!

But that was ages ago... back in the 2003-2005 era.

Good grief, why does it always have to be this foolish?

There’s no unity, and there’s no justice.
Honestly, I can avoid all of it just by closing out Reddit./diaspora.

It's a bit late for me anyway, and besides, I should probably get ready for bed.🙂😉

Jamie Clark74, I see you dragged me into this too, but only to claim there's a lack of consensus among the moderators. That is dead wrong. That specific post wasn't targeting your bias; it was about how a handful of users constantly jump down your throat on every single thread. You react with frustration, and then the cycle repeats day after day: warnings, bans, deleted posts. That’s exactly what I was pointing out in the warning I quoted.

As for the partiality issue, you received that ruling after I left the diaspora. I know both moderators and how they operate. Trust me, nobody on the Reddit editorial staff hands out partiality rulings lightly. This means there was clearly a legitimate reason why things went down the way they did, and I promise you, it wasn't some personal vendetta or grudge held by crimsonsailor7 or Skattemus.

And regarding the amnesty—honestly, you aren't helping yourself with this thread. I get the frustration, and I get why you want back into the PDF, but venting with this kind of vitriol isn't going to get you anywhere. It doesn't do you any favors. It just makes you look like someone I know you aren't.

Bill, just like Striker pointed out to you, using this kind of language isn't helping your case—if anything, it’s just proving once again that the decision to issue the ban was completely justified. This is a space where we have zero tolerance for insults, and that type of rhetoric simply isn't allowed here.

Since you can't even manage to show a shred of basic decency while trying to argue your point or petition to have the ban lifted, I'm confirming yet again that the original decision stands. We have absolutely no intention of changing it.
