My grandmother, who’s turned 78 this year, is actually a huge fan of Whitesnake; she’s constantly asking me to put on "that beautiful music" for her. 🤣 😁

Man, I think this guy is just right for Tokyo... honestly. Even though I saw him a few years back, I doubt he's hit 40 yet...

And yeah, age definitely matters. Visually, they don't even hold a candle to those old bands I caught live where everyone was roughly the same age. Coverdale is ancient—he just doesn't fit the vibe of his own band anymore... especially with how he acts.
That whole "show-off" routine at the mic stand in front of two 15-year-old girls? Just gross...
I've regretted going to see them so many times: the look, the playback, the performance... it just ruined my image of them...

Give me a break. I don't care what a band looks like or how old they are as long as they can actually play. And these two? They definitely know how to shred. Bringing up Tokyo or whatever is just pointless.
Though, I gotta admit, it's a bit weird seeing an old band with one or two guys who look visibly aged while the younger session players look like total rookies. But hey, what can you do? I don't have the time or the money to trek out to shows anyway—most of them are a 3+ hour drive from where I live, so it’s not like it bothers me that much.

I see he finally bailed on the band—honestly, good riddance. Now I can actually look like a serious fan 🙂

And yeah, it’s kind of a bummer seeing one aging rocker hanging out with all those emos, like you said... but let's be real, he *is* Whitesnake. Everyone else is just passing through...

Kudos on starting this thread. 😁 For me, Whitesnake is easily the greatest band of all time. They have this incredible, infectious energy. I’ve listened to their entire discography and watched various live sets—including those legendary performances at Wembley and Donington—and they never miss. Personally, "Fool for Your Loving" is one of my absolute favorites, especially the version featuring Steve Vai. Then there's "Judgment Day," and obviously "Bad Boys." Honestly, their entire catalog is top-tier; there isn't much more to say. 😁 Whitesnake

It’s just a shame that Deep Purple isn't actually their song.

I’ve still got those early records of theirs, and honestly, they’re just incredible 🙂
but listening to them today—well, it feels like David Coverdale sounds more like he belongs in AC/DC😁

All in all, they are just a fantastic band. 🙂

Vixen is easily one of the most influential bands ever when it comes to my favorite rock goddesses. One of their early bass players was Pia Vai, who happened to be Stevie Vai's wife, while the rest of the lineup—Jan, Janet, Roxy, and Share—all cited Whitesnake as their absolute #1 band, except for Janet, who put Def Leppard at the top.

The best album is Ready and Willing.

Top track is Give me All Your Love, followed by Fool for Your Loving, Ain't gonna Cry no more, Till The day i die, and Lonely Days, Lonely Nights.

It looks like this is slated to drop in just a few days, I suppose. 😉

I'm actually digging those two tracks they dropped back in '87.

Back during the lockdowns, I was working quite a bit with Joel Hoekstra from Whitesnake. That’s our connection right there. He actually called me at two in the morning to tell me he and Coverdale were sitting around watching my videos, and apparently, David was totally floored by them.

So, he literally calls me at 2 AM asking, "Hey, you want in on Whitesnake?" And I'm just like, "Dude, it's two in the morning. I don't know if you're pranking me or what, let's just talk in the morning." Well, then Coverdale calls me himself the next morning. The whole conversation was pretty surreal. We both ended up cracking up, and he goes, "So, I hear some guy named David Coverdale wants you in the band," and I replied, "Yeah, I heard that too, but I figured I was dreaming. I'm just calling to see if this is actually happening. If you want me, it would be an absolute honor." Honestly, I'd mostly do it out of respect for David and because Whitesnake has been my favorite band since I was a kid.

When asked if he'd ever step in to replace the legendary frontman in Whitesnake, Dina said it's way too early to even consider it. Even if the opportunity popped up, his personal take is that he wouldn't touch it. Whitesnake *is* David Coverdale. Seriously though, being called was an honor. But taking over such an established legacy? It feels a bit off—kind of like a young singer joining Led Zeppelin and suddenly everyone acts like they *are* Led Zeppelin. He thinks it makes more sense to be in Whitesnake for now and just focus on his own craft.

The kid is a massive Whitesnake fan, so I get why this feels like a dream come true for him, but let’s be real—Whitesnake hasn't been relevant since the late eighties. And honestly, Vucina comparing Jelusic to Lionel Messi? That is absolute comedy gold. It was a bigger fail than saying he'd shave his head if the kid doesn't make it. Besides, the kid isn't even the frontman; he's just providing backing vocals, for crying out loud.
