Why was this thread closed?

I can't help but wonder if there was actually a valid reason for shutting this thread down.

I assume it’s because a thread for the rainbow bridge already exists, though I can't quite wrap my head around why they didn't just merge them. If it was shut down with a note saying "check the topic list," then it’s clearly just a duplicate.

I couldn't find another thread where I could vent this... My eyes are absolutely streaming with tears right now.

They actually added an edit to the title specifically telling people to check out the rules, and if you look at the official PDF, there's already a dedicated thread for these kinds of questions. There really isn't any need to go asking on the FEMA boards first when a topic covering this exact stuff already exists elsewhere.
