Hello everyone.
To provide some context: (I am in my early twenties, I have no pre-existing medical conditions, and I don't drink or smoke)
About a year ago, I decided to take control of my health by starting a weight loss regimen (at the time, I weighed 220 lbs). I significantly increased my daily activity levels and overhauled my diet by removing processed items like margarine and sweets, and cutting back on heavy portions... In three months earlier this year, I managed to drop down to 165 lbs 🤷 . Until about two weeks ago, I hadn't experienced any digestive issues; in fact, I felt quite excellent. (I did eventually gain a few pounds back—now at about 172 lbs), and lately, I have noticed a significant decline in my appetite; I actually have to force myself to eat.
What actually transpired was this: one morning (exactly two weeks ago today), I woke up feeling incredibly dizzy. According to my family members, I looked deathly pale. I became quite concerned because this is entirely uncharacteristic for me—I have never experienced anything like this before. I went in for blood work, an EKG, and a chest X-ray, all of which came back perfectly normal. I was then referred to a neurologist, where they performed various tests, such as checking my balance on one leg and following finger movements with my eyes, and everything seemed fine 🤷 . After reviewing those results, I met with my primary care physician, who also concluded that everything appeared normal, though he did order blood tests to check my thyroid hormones. I am still waiting on those specific results, but they should arrive shortly.
Since then, I have been taking some Solgar multivitamins and amino acid supplements from the local pharmacy
.
The core issue weighing on me is that since that incident, I simply haven't felt like myself. I feel perpetually fatigued and physically weak. To make matters worse, yesterday my stomach began acting up—cramping and excessive burping. I wake up exhausted, and I find it impossible to sleep for more than seven hours, which is quite frustrating.
What are your thoughts on this entire situation?? 😉 If I am being completely honest, I am becoming somewhat worried. I am trying to monitor my symptoms, but nothing feels typical 🤷 , and I just feel "off." Simply put, I am not the person I used to be. I am honestly at a loss as to where to begin looking for answers.???
(And yes, every doctor I have consulted has suggested that it might be stress, but I can assure you that I am not currently facing any major stressors in my life)
Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated, 🙂
