I didn't really check this thread this morning, and since you have me on ignore, you wouldn't have seen it anyway. 🤷

You'll miss him—he’ll sink two more shots over the line, just watch, likely in the final minutes. 🧐

I won't be betting anything; I was thinking about taking that handicap on the Phoenix Suns, but Mr. Stanley beat me to it. 😢

I suspect Oklahoma will take the LA Clippers, despite how poorly they've matched up this season. Those Clippers are completely unpredictable—without Paul, they're barely recognizable, and their defense is practically non-existent.

Lawrence Castillo76 said:I don't see how that even relates to my point. That kind of thing happens once in a blue moon. But seeing a three-pointer hit in the final seconds of regulation? That happens almost every single week. It’s a shame we couldn't pull off the win last night. But hey, they finally answered to their new owner, and the guys decided to show exactly what he paid for.

Andrew Thomas55 said:It's like an unwritten rule for them—they won't intentionally foul when there's only a three-point lead. They just try to play defense and let things play out. Honestly, I was surprised when I first learned that a few years back.

mellowhawk5 said:James Taylor3, did they change the Stanley line from 6.5 to 9.5? I didn't quite catch what you were saying there.

Wouldn't that be a bit much for a stronger team? 🤷

Yeah, they made the change.

I'm not sure—it might still hit. Portland is missing three starters, after all. There isn't anyone tonight who can actually score besides Matthews, Hickson, and Crawford—and all three are defensive liabilities. Gortat really needs to step up and score big.

Fine then, just keep ignoring me 🤷

You’re gonna miss him. He’ll sink two more shots past the line, mark my words, right in the closing minutes. 🧐

Honestly, that would be a win considering how things went down for him last time—back then I was missing him by like 20 points. 🤣

I'm not betting anything. I was thinking about hitting that handicap on the Phoenix Suns, but man, Mr. Stanley is faster than me. 😢

Whatever, man... it'll all go south because of some bad luck. Clint would've settled this way faster.

I think Oklahoma is going to take the LA Clippers, even if they've been worse against them this season. Those Clippers are completely unpredictable—when Chris Paul isn't playing, they're a mess, and their defense? Forget about it.

☕

edit: mods, please just hand out warnings to everyone for this chatting, or at least give Tsigi one. 🤷

Iguodala looks pretty tempting tonight, kind of like how Rondo was last night. Orlando is really feeling the absence of Dwight Howard, Hedo Türkoğlu, and Giannis Antetokounmpo, plus Iguodala is sitting right there at 11.5, what’s your take, Tsigi?🤷
I think this is a solid bet, especially with Orton starting at center...
It isn't Igijev's usual spot, but it should open up plenty of lanes to the rim...

Panda, I don't engage in small talk—unlike you. ☕

Just look at my history—I weave tonight's NBA action into almost every post, so you can't really accuse me of just chatting. 😬

I think this is quite plausible; Orton starts at center...

The line is low, but then again, Iguodala is one of those consistently reliable scorers—he usually lands right around 11 or 12 points, at least from what I see. 🤷

Same goes for Jason Terry; he’s always hovering around the 15-16 mark, which is exactly where his line sits.

Look, Iguodala doesn't hog the ball, and Phil runs a very team-oriented system—there isn't one dominant scorer, everyone contributes a little bit.

I'd pass on this one. 🤷

I hear you, I’m totally on board with your breakdown. It’s been pretty much the same old story lately. There are plenty of other matchups tonight to chew on, but it just kind of jumped out at me when I saw which teams are missing their key players...
Just sitting here waiting to see what vodka martini is gonna "drop" for tonight's slate. Honestly, I'm dying to see his take on this one..😁

I see you guys actually decided to show up and talk today, unlike yesterday, which is a miracle in itself😍,everyone's obsessing over the Chicago Bulls and the Miami Heat, but if you ask me, anyone stuck playing the Boston Celtics is going to have a rough time, especially since they're absolutely peaking right now☕,but I won't go on a whole philosophical rant about it, here’s my slip for today, though please, for the love of God, I hope vodka doesn't ruin this one by being unlucky😍

Chicago Bulls (188.5) - Washington Wizards Under 1.85
-The line feels way too high considering how the Chicago Bulls play defense, I really don't see the Washington Wizards putting up more than 80 points, and honestly, just look at the last five matchups between them—they've all gone under (186, 142, 177, 182, 167)
Golden State Warriors (210.5) - San Antonio Spurs Under 1.85
-Look, it's true the Golden State Warriors have garbage defense, but without a few key guys like Stephen Curry, Lee and the crew just don't have the firepower to rack up massive numbers, plus the San Antonio Spurs will probably sit their stars for the second half once they've built a huge lead
Phila Under 92.5, 1.85
-The Magic have won 17 of their last 20 games, and they've been suffocating Philly, holding them to around 81 points, so that's why I'm taking the under, plus the visitors aren't exactly an offensive juggernaut anyway, they rely way more on shut-down defense
Danny Granger Over 19.5, 1.85
-The guy is dropping 22.8 points per game over the last four months, which is his best statistical run, and when he goes up against the Minnesota Timberwolves? He's even better, averaging 26.3 over three meetings, and since there's no ljubiti available, his job should be a lot easier
Ty Lawson Under 16.5, 1.85
-Like I was saying the other day, this guy plays hot and cold, he almost never puts together two good performances in a row, he dropped 20 last night, but I'm expecting him to fall flat again today because he clearly can't sustain a streak
Kevin Durant Over 27.5, 1.85
-This is a repeat of my take from a few days ago, I truly believe he's going to try to make up for that absolute disaster where he scored 22 on a miserable 7-of-21 shooting, especially since in the other two head-to-head games he was nothing short of legendary, dropping 32 and 36 points
Chris Paul Over 19.5, 1.85
-In his last outing at Crypto.com Arena, he put up 26 points along with 14 assists, and everyone knows he performs way better on his home court, which he proved in his last game against the Golden State Warriors when he dropped 28 points

6/7 System, favorite😉

Everyone is talking about the Bulls and the Heat, but personally, I think anyone facing the Celtics is in for a rough night, especially since they're peaking right now☕. I won't get too deep into the theory, but here is my ticket for today. I just ask that vodka doesn't ruin the streak by bringing bad luck😍

Chicago Bulls (188.5) - Washington Wizards Under 1.85
-The line feels a bit high given how the Bulls play defense. I don't see the Wizards putting up more than 80 points. You only have to look at their last five matchups, which all went under (186, 142, 177, 182, 167)
Golden State Warriors (210.5) - San Antonio Spurs Under 1.85
-It’s true that the Warriors' defense isn't great, but without a few key guys like Stephen Curry, Lee and the rest simply don't have the firepower to rack up huge numbers. Plus, the Spurs will likely rest their stars since they should be able to pull away by halftime
Philly Under 92.5, 1.85
-The Magic have won 17 of their last 20 games, often holding Philly to around 81 points, which is why I'm taking the under. Another reason is the visitors' recent form; they aren't an offensive powerhouse, they really lean on their solid defense
Danny Granger Over 19.5, 1.85
-He's averaging 22.8 points over the last four months, which is his statistical peak. When you look at his head-to-head matchups against the Timberwolves, he’s even better at 26.3 over three games. Since there's no Ljubiti available, his job gets a little easier
Ty Lawson Under 16.5, 1.85
-Like I mentioned a few days back, his performance is hit-or-miss; he rarely puts together two good games in a row. He dropped 20 last night, but I expect him to struggle again today because he just can't seem to sustain momentum through a series
Kevin Durant Over 27.5, 1.85
-This is a repeat from a few days ago. I believe he'll try to make up for that disaster where he scored only 22 points on 7-of-21 shooting. In his last two matchups against them, he was nothing short of elite, dropping 32 and 36
Chris Paul Over 19.5, 1.85
-In his last outing at Crypto.com Arena, he put up 26 points along with 14 assists. It's well known that he performs better on his home court, which he proved in his last game against the Warriors when he scored 28

6/7 System, Favorite😉

I see you play those system bets quite often, so I wanted to ask if you actually find success with them. Are you in the green? If so, maybe I'll try throwing a few tickets my way using this method🙂

Otherwise, today I'm just playing the Phoenix Suns over Portland. Just a gut feeling that the Suns can't afford any more slip-ups if they want to stay in the playoff hunt

Daniel Martin15 said:I see you running those systems all the time, so I gotta ask—is it actually working for you? Are you staying in the green? If so, maybe I should try throwing down a few parlays myself? 🙂

Anyway, today I just put my money on the Phoenix Suns over the Portland Trail Blazers. Honestly, I just picked them because I feel like the Suns can't afford another massive upset if they actually want a shot at the playoffs.

Lately? Man, I am nowhere near in the black, like, I seriously can't hit anything right now🤷. I was doing alright for a bit, but the last two months have been a total disaster. It's been a mess! But hey, since I'm not betting my entire life savings here, it’s not like I'm totally broke,🤷 though I definitely had much better runs in the past. Right now, hitting a winner feels freaking impossible.🙂It really depends on how much skin you have in the game; if we're talking serious cash, I'd say maybe 2 or 3 bucks max at 1.85 odds.☕I stay far away from those "sure things" people hype up, because let me tell you, those are nothing but landmines designed to bait suckers into losing. I’d much rather play the spread based on how tough the opponent is or look at the over/under, but hey, everyone’s got their own vibe and knows what works best for their own bankroll.

Hey, I’m new to this group. I’ve been lurking here for a while now, soaking up all your sports takes—especially the NBA stuff—so I finally decided to jump in and say something... watching the games tonight and here’s what I’m leaning towards:

Blake Griffin under
Joe Johnson under
Phoenix Suns
🙂

Deron Williams is sidelined with a sore right calf, so he won't be suiting up for the Nets against the Miami Heat tonight.

LeBron and Miller will Play tonight for Heat.
Ronny Turiaf (hamstring) is also sidelined for the Heat tonight
I'm taking the over on this one—it's been a while, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Heat just absolutely wreck someone out there.

If I were betting today, I’d take:

Josh Smith over 19.5.
Joe has been the Hawks' undisputed leader all season—absolutely dominating his position. If the game stays even—meaning if those calculations people keep bringing up don't actually happen, which I honestly doubt—this shouldn't even be a conversation. You've also got Johnson struggling with his form and Pachulia out of the lineup, which leaves Atlanta’s offensive options looking incredibly thin. I didn't catch last night's game, so I have no clue what went down there, but Atlanta is prone to these massive blackouts while the Raptors tend to catch lightning in a bottle. Still, in an even matchup like tonight, I just don't see how the home team lets Johnson outplay Joe...🤷

Look, Joe drops 27 or 30 against Toronto most nights—last night was just a complete shooting disaster. That kind of slump rarely happens two games in a row, so if you're looking at the under, be careful.🧐

Chris Paul over 19.5.
It’s been proven time and time again—if Paul doesn't step up, the Clippers are in deep trouble. Especially when they're facing the heavy hitters. These matchups usually turn into high-scoring shootouts, and Paul has been dropping 26, 13 (on a rough 3/12 from the field), and that 31-point outburst in his last game against OKC.

Durant over 26.5.
Not much to say here. Durant is Durant—when it’s time to step up, he steps up. He didn't exactly go hard last season (22), so you can bet he's looking for payback in LA. He dropped over 30 in each of his first two games.

I’d just add to what everyone else has been saying— Washington under 87.5The way they look right now? Against Chicago, they'll struggle to even hit 80.
