First off, I’m actually glad it wasn't us; let Denmark take it. They earned it. Though, if we get knocked out early, I guess I'll be rooting for Poland. They play a modern, beautiful style of handball, unlike those Mexicans who play like half-dead kittens. Besides, what the hell even is Poland in the handball world? 😂 😂

The Jurecki brothers, the Lijewski brothers, Slawomir Szmal, Karol Bielecki, Mariusz Jurasik, Tomasz Rosinski, Tluczynski... just a bunch of handball nobodies. 😂

The fact they played this championship without one of the best goalies in the world and without one of the best right backs, Marcin Lijewskog, doesn't change anything. Still, the Mexicans are supposedly the new handball superpower. If they manage to finish in the top four at the next four championships, I’ll personally apologize to everyone on this forum. If they don't pull anything off, then they were clearly only successful because they were playing at home with the crowd behind them. We'll see how much they're actually worth in Spain soon enough.

I’ve got a feeling Maglaijlija was basically a product of the training programs over in Banja Luka after moving there as a kid.

Žoga actually started out way back in Šokanje or Šoštanje—somewhere like that—and honestly, if you didn't mention Požun, I wouldn't even have known about that part of the story...

As for Maglaijlija, he played for Goradže—if that was even the club's actual name—which is his hometown area...

Since he finished high school there, he wasn't exactly some wide-eyed rookie when he finally joined Borac... and let's be real, he definitely wasn't going to school in one town and traveling to another just to practice, especially since Banja Luka and Goradže are only a few hundred miles apart...
