Philly took exactly a 17-point loss—just enough. 👋

They were up 30 at the start of the fourth. Doesn't matter.

@James Taylor3/">@@James Taylor3, nice work on those picks 👍

Man, I had a bad feeling about that San Antonio matchup—like, I really thought we could just take them down... but nope 🙂
damn, gotta be smarter today...

My mistake, being smarter today...

👍

Scanning the scores quickly, looks like the favorites all came through. Caught some of the Philly and Charlotte games last night; the Bobcats are a total mess right now. Also caught a bit of Boston vs Indiana—Pierce was absolutely dominant in the second half. 🙏

I expected more scoring from that San Antonio game, but luckily I didn't put anything on the over. 😁

I honestly thought that San Antonio game would be higher scoring, but hey, luck was on my side since I didn't put anything on it. 😁

...so, looking at Charlotte vs Washington tonight, Wall is sitting right around that 15.5 line. He dropped 17 in just 33 minutes last night, so I feel like he could easily hit that again against this squad... that's the first thing that jumped out at me...
James Taylor3, what do you think?

P.S.
Stoudemire looks like he's in a massive slump, and his team isn't doing much better... they're up against Houston tonight, who actually made me some decent money against the Bucks... let's see how it goes...🙂

I mean, Paul Pierce had a wild second half. 🙏

I actually thought that San Antonio game would be a high-scoring affair, but hey, lucky me, I didn't put any money on it. 😁

I mean, yeah... Charlotte is basically bottom of the barrel, and Philly is absolutely killing it at home right now 😲
Paul Pierce 🙏 plays like a beast since Allen left, it's insane... he seems kind of heavy and sluggish sometimes, then suddenly he just catches fire and he's right there at the rim 😁

The odds for the Lakers and Memphis look pretty interesting today 🤔

James Taylor3, what's your take?

I wouldn't be so sure—he’s in great shape. He’s driving hard to the rim, and he frequently draws fouls or gets those easy buckets. Honestly, against a struggling Charlotte team, he could probably drop way more points, but since his stats haven't been anything to write home about this season, don't take my word for it. 😁

Paul Pierce 🙏 Ever since Allen has been out, the play has looked... off. It’s hard to watch—he seems heavier, slower, more sluggish than usual. Then, out of nowhere, they lose their rhythm entirely and start missing everything right at the rim. 😁

Some interesting odds today on the LA Lakers and Memphis. 🤔

Yeah, Paul Pierce has really stepped up since taking over playmaking duties from Rondati—his game has evolved. Plus, his shooting is night and day compared to how he looked at the start of the season.

...I caught a few Washington games and saw how he plays—using that speed to attack the rim (he did pretty well doing that against Boston), but then I see him tonight and he hasn't even attempted a single three-pointer...
I was reading your post from a few days back about the roster and I'm with you on that...

Martin (22.5) - over
Gallinari (16.5) - over
Granger (17.5) - over
Anthony (24.5) - under

The win is there. Honestly, it might have been better if Anthony and Martin hadn't even played given the injury situation...

Here’s what I’m looking at today:
Charlotte - Washington (185.5) - under ...just like the other day. Charlotte’s offense is a disaster, but they hold their own defensively, so I'm expecting another under.

Kobe Bryant (30.5) - under ...I'm taking advantage of this high line while it lasts, right after that stretch of 40+ point performances.

Gay vs. Amar'e Stoudemire (duel) - 1 ...Memphis is playing in Phoenix, where the tempo should be fast and suit Gay perfectly. I'm not sure if they'll sit Anthony tonight, but even without him, Stoudemire is struggling. I'm hoping Gay has a much better night. My only concern is that they're facing Houston, which could turn this into a shootout.

Stoudemire is struggling right now because he just doesn't have a reliable PG to run the pick-and-roll with; honestly, those shots he's taking lately feel more like Boshev's specialty. His age isn't helping either, not to mention the injuries and all that. I'm done chasing him. 🙂

So, what should I actually put a bet on today? Honestly, the selection looks pretty thin, unless we're all just looking at that Gay vs. Amar'e Stoudemire matchup?

Keep an eye on this matchup between Amar'e Stoudemire and Gay.
Stoudemire is struggling this season—but then again, the Rockets (tonight's opponent for the Knicks) are absolutely abysmal at protecting the paint, giving up an average of 47.1 points, which ranks third-worst in the league. On top of that, Amar'e has been tearing it up against Houston over the last three seasons, averaging 28 points. Plus, he’s got a disinterested Luis Scola providing some cover.

I wouldn't bet on Gay here—Memphis has plenty of offensive weapons to throw at Phoenix, like the quick Conley, Marc Gasol, and Mayo. Meanwhile, with Carmelo Anthony out, the Knicks will certainly be leaning heavily on their primary scoring option, so I don't see Gay being a safe bet. 🤷

BetLive - player points:
(15.5)PHO - Marcin Gortat 1 1.85

Phoenix is facing Memphis tonight—and man, they have the best interior defense in the league right now: http://www.hoopsstats.com/basketball.../12/10/pts/1-1
Memphis has played 18 games this season and only one center has even touched this line against them—Al Jefferson dropped 20. I took Gortat against Portland yesterday, and since they also play tight defense inside, he cleared it easily with 8p...

I was just looking over the player prop lines—Marcin Gortat caught my eye. 15.5 feels high against a younger Gasol, especially given they're on the road for a back-to-back. 👍

Porque?

Aside from Gortat, I only noticed Bynum—he’s facing Milwaukee, and with Andrew Bogut out injured, they're essentially lacking a true center. Bynum should be able to use his strength and mass to exploit matchups against Gooden and guys like him. 🤷

I'm weighing the Milwaukee - Lakers game right now—might play a double. It mostly comes down to that mismatch at the center position.

Porque?

The only guy I noticed alongside Gortat is him—he’s facing Milwaukee, and since Andrew Bogut is out with an injury, they're basically left without a real center. I feel like Andrew Bynum could just walk all over them with his sheer strength and mass, easily exploiting guys like Gooden and whoever else is rotating in there. 🤷

I'm actually weighing the Milwaukee - Lakers game right now and might just take the double—mostly because of how lopsided things look at the center position.

I'm taking the Lakers at 4.5... I honestly don't see how this Milwaukee squad can stop Andrew Bynum, Gasol, McRoberts, and the rest of the crew under the rim, not to mention Kobe... and they're on a back-to-back, too.
