Honestly, screw these pathetic teams—they finally decide to show up just because they’re playing Oklahoma City, Portland, and whoever else is bottom-feeding right now... I mean, of course Stuckey plays out of his mind and drops nearly 30 points against them, it's almost too predictable 🙂 🙂

Same old issues with this Melo and Gallinari duo. Honestly, the only silver lining is they lost, so maybe now management will actually start questioning that trade. ☕

I have to say, yesterday felt like one of those rare days where the odds were actually worth chasing—I managed to land an 11.86 underdog shot quite comfortably.
Atlanta Hawks vs. Cleveland: I took the home win (honestly, the spread was also a very viable play here).
Memphis vs. Sacramento: Went with the Memphis moneyline—an easy, expected victory for the favorite.
Brooklyn Nets vs. OKC: Took the OKC -7.5 spread. They ended up winning by 10, though I didn't spend much time worrying about it since they held a 20-point lead for most of the game.
Houston vs. San Antonio: Picked Houston with the +2.5 spread; it was a nail-biter, finishing 105-102.😁
On top of that, I added a single soccer parlay to the mix—Juventus to win.
In my more casual betting, I threw some money on the Over for the Bulls, took both Memphis and Atlanta against the spread, and put Oklahoma in a 2/2 parlay—everything was looking solid until Portland completely ruined my momentum.

wiredcanyon39 said:Man, I’ve been staring at these numbers for a minute, and I think New Jersey might actually pull this one out against OKC on February 2nd. My gut is leaning toward that 1.55 line for the New Jersey side—it feels like a solid value play, if that makes sense. I don't know, maybe I'm overthinking the matchup, but I just can't shake the feeling. It's a bit of a toss-up, I guess, but let's see how it plays out.
So, looking at the matchup, I guess New Jersey is basically sitting at the bottom of the barrel right now, maybe just alongside Washington, though they're starting to show a little life. That puts the Nets right in that "weakest link" territory for the moment. On the other side, OKC is just rolling through everything like it's nothing—honestly, I’m definitely going to try and collect on that little slip-up I made with my "wizard" pick a couple of days ago, haha. Durant is probably going to be out there playing like he’s got a massive point to prove, trying to show everyone that whatever happened before was just a tiny hiccup that we won't see again this season. But man, the Nets have been struggling big time; they've been getting blown out by double digits quite a bit lately. My read is that even if they manage to hang in there during the first quarter, they usually fall apart in the second, and then it’s just a slow slide into total collapse. If you're feeling spicy, you could maybe look at the Nets staying under 96.5.
👍
Man, I don't know... looking at this Lakers vs. Pacers matchup, I’ve got a gut feeling about the Pacers covering that 86.5 spread. I mean, maybe I'm just seeing things, but there's something about how they're playing right now. I guess if you look at the pace, it feels like Indiana could really run wild. Just a hunch, though. Let's see what happens.
Kobe was playing out of his mind, honestly, just absolutely tearing it up, but I guess LeBron eventually found a way to bring him back down to earth. After putting up those massive 40+ point games for four straight matchups, he’s cooled off a bit over the last two. Still, even if his scoring dipped, he actually started dishing out some assists in those games, which—let's be real—isn't exactly what you usually see from him. Anyway, looking at the East, Indiana is probably one of the most fun surprises going right now alongside Philly. They’ve got seven different guys hitting double figures per game, which is wild. They're being led by Granger, who is playing out of his skin, and then you've got West, the newcomer, who seems to have slotted into the rotation perfectly. In my opinion, this squad is legit and could easily make a deep run all the way to the Conference Finals this season. The Lakers are holding their own defensively, especially protecting the paint, but given how much firepower Indiana has with those seven different scoring threats, I think I can find a way to cover that slim margin. You could probably grab the Indiana +5.5 spread if you wanted to play it safe, but I feel like sticking with my gut on this one is a bit more solid.

I'm not entirely convinced it'll go over. Looking at the numbers, LA has averaged about 86.2 points over their last five games, though that dipped to 80.0 over the most recent three. When you look at the offensive side of things, neither squad is exactly on a hot streak right now, even if their defenses are sitting among the best in the league. Regarding the under 5.5 on the Pacers, I actually agree with that assessment; it could certainly be one of my picks, much like taking the under on total points, though I have to admit the margin feels quite thin.

Jeremy Lee67 said:Not sure—yesterday was just one of those days where the basketball felt right for a heavy bet. I managed to hit an 11.86 underdog longshot.
Hawks vs. Cleveland: Home win (could've played the spread, too)
Memphis vs. Sacramento: Home win (standard favorite win—smooth enough)
Nets vs. OKC (-7.5): Away win (OKC won by 10—didn't sweat it much since they led by 20 most of the way)
Houston vs. Spurs (+2.5 spread): Home win (ended 105-102)😁
+ added a single soccer leg (Juventus win)
On my casual parlay, I took the Over on the Bulls, Memphis and Atlanta on the spread, and OKC to go 2/2 in the moneyline—Portland was the only thing that killed it.
There’s already a thread dedicated to winning slips. 😉
Instead, we're here debating games that haven't even tipped off yet.

Man, our local guys are honestly such a joke—they haven't even finished setting up their full NBA coverage yet. Like, why are they so incompetent that they can't even handle this stuff on their own? 🤦
I'm just sitting here waiting to see if they'll actually put out a spread for Miami... maybe then someone will finally write an actual analysis. 🙂

I was waiting for the Clippers to cover the spread in the first half, but now that it's sitting at -9.5, that feels a little steep... I'll see if it drops closer to where I want it.

It’s confirmed—Rondo isn't playing today. Given his impact on the Celtics' offense, their current slump, Pierce's lackluster performance, and the fact that Rondo put up a triple-double against Washington just a few weeks back—this could be a rough one for Boston.
Washington is struggling at 1-12, but they’ve been finding some rhythm lately. They’ve cleared 100 points in three straight games against solid teams like Oklahoma City, Houston, and Denver—they even pulled an upset over OKC. They stayed competitive against Denver until the final minute, and against Houston, they held their own well into the third quarter. John Wall has stepped it up significantly; the Wizards aren't an easy target anymore. Meanwhile, the Celtics are sitting at a dismal 5-9, including a mediocre 1-4 stretch on the road. Without Rondo last game, they managed only 71 points against Phoenix in their own arena. Not good.
I'm taking this one with a small unit stake.

Why on earth does Washington have to play them today? If it were anyone else, we’d be in real trouble—this Boston squad is just a disaster without Jaylen Brown

Washington (+10,5) - Boston 1 1,30
If only they could exercise a little more tactical intelligence and actually figure out when to pull the trigger on a connection...

Wall is going to have his hands full against Augustin. Honestly, Boston just doesn't have any answer for a guy like him when Rondo isn't on the floor to anchor things. Wall only really started to wrap his head around that reality midway through the second quarter. 🙂
#378 ·
A tough break for the Washington old-timers—they actually clawed their way back from a 16-point deficit and even held a slim lead with five minutes left on the clock. Then Crawford and Young decided to go rogue with those wild shots, and that was that.

If the Raptors can just weather this Clippers surge, we might see Griffin pull off an over, though I have my doubts given how shaky his free throw shooting looks right now.
Ugh, absolutely disastrous from the charity stripe. There's zero chance they produce anything meaningful in the 4th quarter at this rate; the over is dead. 😬

Jeremy Lee67, those free throws of yours really killed me. 🤦
I was only five baskets away from hitting the over, and then he goes and misses eight straight shots from the charity stripe. 🤣
