After all the nonsense from Dragašev and Gall regarding Whole Love, here’s an actual update: Wilco announced an upcoming tour in Italy on their Facebook page. When I suggested that the US might be next on the list, the admin replied with this:

They’re gonna sell out fast—hardly any left.
As for Dragašev, Leskovar, and that whole gang of "hack" critics—they seriously get under my skin.
Not a single show goes by without me having to deal with those clowns.
Since I’m a regular subscriber to Record Collector, I’ve read enough of the "reviews" penned by these jokers to know it's mostly just recycled filler. Basically, everything worth reading was lifted straight from the Collector, while those few mindless sentences in the actual articles were tossed in by the so-called "experts" listed below...
The only guys who actually knew how to write a decent piece about a band or a gig were Glavan and Gall.
Of course, you always have to remember that criticism is subjective—we don't all have the same taste. So, expect to see Dragašev rocking his hunting hat at the show.🙈

I’m hoping tickets sell out fast so they finally move this show out of that dumpy little club, Amoeba Music, and into a decent venue.

Yeah, obviously—the Baruns are warming up the crowd in the tent before the main event.
Too bad they aren't playing somewhere like the Fillmore instead. They’d kill it there, because this whole tent setup at Amoeba Music is honestly trash. It feels more like a venue for frat parties or some intense Zumba class...
But whatever, right?
The point is we get to hear them now—we probably won't get another shot anytime soon unless we drop a fortune to fly out to Europe, and that is definitely not cheap.😉

Just got word from a buddy that the show moved over to Wilco @ Madison Square Garden - Pavilion 9.
The organizers clearly smelled money and decided to bump the gig up to a bigger venue. Honestly, it’s a win for us—nobody wants to be crushed like sardines in some cramped tent.
I’ve never actually caught a show in that pavilion before. Has anyone been to an actual concert there—and I mean a real show, not some weird Zumba marathon?
What’s the capacity like? Is the space significantly larger than the Factory?

They’re totally wiped out on Ticketmaster. Does anyone know if there's another way to snag these online? Or maybe they're just temporarily sold out and will pop back up tomorrow or whenever?

Does anyone know when the show actually starts?
I really don't want to roll up to Madison Square Garden at 8 or 9 PM just to end up waiting three hours for the band to hit the stage.
Some guy—Mate something or other—runs those thirsty ear shows, and they're always a mess.
I still remember the Chuck Prophet concert. The guy was scheduled for 9 PM, but he didn't even start until well after midnight.
So yeah—that's my experience with "timing." I'm really hoping they stick to a realistic schedule this time, since it's a Sunday and some people actually have to work tomorrow.

If you checked the lineup, you'd see Grant Hart is playing before Chuck Prophet. He starts at 9:15, then Prophet hits the stage around 11. Usually, when this promoter runs late, it's only by about 15 minutes because he wants as many people as possible to catch every act.

At the end of the day, any sane person at this concert is just here for Grant Hart 😬

Look, casualfalcon55’s post is total nonsense. Everyone knew Grant was playing before Chuck Prophet that night, but that doesn't give anyone the right to trash the people who showed up specifically for Prophet. I came to see both, and honestly, they were both great. 🙂

By the way, the promoter announced that the Wilco @ Madison Square Garden show kicks off at 9 PM. 🙂

And then there's your buddy in the thread below acting like everything's fine.
A good chunk of people were pissed off at how poorly this was handled. That Grant set everyone raves about? It was honestly pretty pathetic. A massive crowd ended up out in the courtyard just waiting for him to finally "perform" his part. I get it—they delay sets to pack the house and boost bar sales, but still.
Having Chuck start after midnight on a weekday—that's just bad business.
Look, if you're going to organize these gigs, be prepared to take some legitimate criticism—no matter how much it stings. That's my two cents. I'm done talking about this.
I really hope you aren't involved in putting this show together.
