Hey everyone.
So, I’m living in Washington, D.C. No vacation house, zero extra space in my apartment.
I want to celebrate my birthday and invite about 15-20 people. Ideally, I want an outdoor spot where we can grill and actually fit everyone.
The problem is, I’ve pretty much exhausted all the decent options over the last few years. Done Santa Monica Pier a few times, hit up Central Park a couple of times, even headed out to Mount Rainier. Anyone know of any similar spots around D.C.? Looking for a park, some woods, maybe a lake—something on par with Central Park or Santa Monica Pier, though it doesn't necessarily have to be that huge or manicured. Maybe something out toward the suburbs?
I know out toward Suburban Atlanta and Brooklyn there are some small lakes, but I’m not sure if they have shaded areas, benches, or how well-maintained they actually are.
What’s your experience been like? Anyone got a solid lead?
Thanks in advance!
