Ladies, I’m starting to get a little worried... I was just reading on another forum 😁 about how some women end up developing these little bumps. I wanted to ask those of you who went to Tony Soprano if you noticed anything like that after your surgery? Here is what one woman wrote about it:
A bone callus can show up after a rhinoplasty if an osteotomy (bone breaking) was performed. It feels somewhat like cartilage, but it's actually just young bone cells. Once the bones are broken, the body tries to "patch" the gap by creating new bone tissue—sometimes it overdoes it just to be safe, which results in a visible bump. Over the course of two to three months, the body sends calcium to the fracture site, and the callus hardens.
Inexperienced plastic surgeons love to blame a bad rhinoplasty result on a callus. In reality, it’s quite rare.
But it does happen. One patient shared her experience: “For the first three months after surgery, my nose looked perfect, and I was so happy. At first, the bump was tiny—just a little nub—but after a while, it started growing, and it happened really fast. The Surgeon kept trying to reassure me, saying it was just swelling. But eight months later, my nose looked bumpy and had started to droop...”

Karen Ross84 said:Can anyone give me a realistic idea of how long the waitlist actually is for nasal surgery through insurance?

Your first step is visiting your primary care physician at the local clinic; you explain the breathing difficulties and request a referral to an ENT specialist.
Once you take that referral to a hospital, they’ll schedule a consultation, which usually happens within twelve days to a month depending on how backed up they are—though since it's summer, the wait times tend to be shorter, even if it means dealing with everyone's vacation schedules.
When you finally sit down for that initial exam, you lay out all your symptoms to the doctor and see what their assessment is.
From there, you can try to coordinate the surgery with them, but honestly, your best bet is finding an ENT who also specializes in facial and neck aesthetics; you can find top-tier specialists like that in places like Beverly Hills.

I went looking for that photo rustygardener172 sent me, and yeah, that was it. Case closed. 😍

Well, then you're just telling me it's absolutely perfect. Honestly, if that's the case, I don't even know what else to say. 😍 😍

Send me a photo so I can take a look at my nose. 😉

Is the wait time for the actual procedure super long?

They definitely don't do the consultation and surgery on the same day... I mean, what if you get through the consultation, realize it's not what you wanted, and you've already booked the surgery?! 😁
Personally, I waited about ten days between my consultation and the actual operation. But honestly, it's all relative... if he hadn't had to travel for work, maybe I would've pushed for a 5-day gap, or maybe I wouldn't have minded waiting even longer...
But with Smith, you aren't waiting forever because that guy lives and breathes his work. For him, Saturday and Sunday basically don't exist. He's always operating. 😁

How did you guys get home after surgery? Did someone have to drive you or did you just hop on a train or a bus? Just wondering since I'm not living in Washington, D.C....

In my case, I actually stayed overnight at the clinic and spent a week in New York City. I would strongly advise against trying to make the trip alone; you really need a few days just to get back on your feet.

Maybe send me a photo so I can get a better look at my own nose 😉

And honestly, 😁 if I’m being completely blunt

I'll snap a picture once it settles down a bit; right now, it looks like a much bulkier version of yours 😬

If I remember right, a night at the clinic runs about $100? A hostel would be $33, which should cover all 7 days...

It really depends on which surgeon you choose. If you go with Dr. Miller, an overnight stay is actually mandatory and is already included in the total cost of the surgery.

I've got my consultation with Dr. Johnson this week, just hoping the surgery itself doesn't end up costing me 13.5 grand🙄 for a minor fix...

I checked with him myself, and the procedure is exactly $2,000 cash.

He might've bumped up the prices 🙂 Had you checked with them recently?

So, my sister and I finally took the cast off today... honestly, I’m speechless. We both just broke down in tears. It’s actually unreal how incredible it looks. After all the nightmare scenarios and complications following my surgery—it felt like my entire nose was being put through a meat grinder—seeing this result... it just looks so natural and beautiful. My sister is just the best for being there.
I don't even know where to start... the surgeon is truly one of a kind. He's so skilled, gentle, attentive, and just... precise. He explains every single little thing, he's genuinely kind, and despite working grueling hours from sunrise to sunset, he stays incredibly upbeat and energetic.
DAVID DOE RULES 🙂 Seriously, if you trust him with your face, you're winning at life...

Oh, and yeah... I can breathe like a freaking DRAGON now! If you don't care about the details, don't bother sliding into my DMs... I'm done following this thread.

She looks absolutely stunning.
I’m almost at a loss for words regarding the surgeon. He is truly one of a kind. So gentle, so attentive, and incredibly precise. Oh, and one more thing... I can breathe like a freaking DRAGON! If anyone wants the details, just send me a PM. I won't be following this thread much longer.

I'm new to this forum. I'm a bit confused because there seem to be two different threads about Doe, and everyone is praising him in both. One focuses on his work with Johnson (who I've seen on TV with that distinct voice) based out of Washington, D.C., and the other one seems centered around the area near Vukovar.

John Doe works with Johnson, and that guy over in Vukovar is David. Why is everyone coming for Isaac?...

I honestly have no idea. Someone mentioned on a different forum that he completely messed things up for a girl—basically left her exactly where she started—and there's this student at university who keeps bringing up Doe, though I can't remember which one specifically. To be perfectly honest, I’m totally out of my depth here. I have every intention of finding someone, but I don't know the landscape at all. I've heard names like Brown, then Johnson, then John Doe (twice), Thomas, and Davis... but I haven't a clue who they actually work with. I'm not being overly critical of myself; I think I hold my own quite well, but I am a bit of a John Doe when it comes to these standards.

David Doe runs his own private clinic inside the Almeria shopping complex, right by the Lidl... and just across from Walmart... He also practices at Mercy Hospital, working with high-risk patients dealing with tumors and everything else heavy
None of us on this forum have actually visited him, except for one guy whose nose he completely transformed. My sister and I—who, let’s be honest, are total skeptics and massive pains in the neck—would honestly trade a kidney just to get the results he gave him 😂👍👍👍👍👍😍😍:cerek :
First off, the results look so incredibly NATURAL... you wouldn't even guess someone had work done

He is hands down the best doctor I have ever encountered, and believe me, I only seek out the absolute best. He was the first person I went to for a consultation, and truly the only one. I wasn't even nervous about the surgery because the staff is just so pleasant, relaxed, and genuinely kind. They were joking around the whole time, which made me stop worrying about what they were doing... and mind you, I am a huge wimp who gets bothered by every little ache and pain. As for the anesthesia? It was a dream. The doctor even told me I was lucky enough to get the best anesthesiologist on staff
Compare that to, say, getting a gastroscopy at a private clinic where, after a bit of Valium, I couldn't pull myself together for three days... But after my nose surgery, I felt exactly like my old self immediately. I went straight home, ZERO pain. The doctor is meticulous, brilliant, and gives it his all... just a genuinely good man, unlike most surgeons who walk around looking like they’ve had their own cosmetic tweaks
I found him online and then did some digging, asking several older, more serious people which surgeon was the gold standard... they all pointed to him. And honestly? I don't regret spending those $1,800 one bit. I had a deviated septum and a nose that was problematic from every single angle. Here's another thing: I actually had complications during the procedure—heavy bleeding—and the doctor was visibly distressed and worked incredibly hard to make sure everything turned out exactly as intended... You know what? I would pay EVEN MORE for a master craftsman like this doctor. I apologize if this post feels a bit much, but I just had to share 😁D

Doctor, let's grab a drink sometime!!! 😁

And please, don't even bother looking at the photos... they weren't exactly my finest hour... probably because those people weren't looking for nearly half of what I was looking for in them... 😉)
Honestly, my nose looks absolutely ridiculous in these shots (I just tried taking some new ones, by the way)... in person, it looks nothing like that, I swear.

Can someone help me out here??? I’m trying to figure out which surgeon to actually trust with my surgery. I’ve already had one consultation, maybe two now, and honestly... I’m just completely lost. I have no idea who to pick...
