Don't even sweat the small stuff. If you're looking for what actually matters—especially when it comes to a woman—it's all about the eyes. And honestly? The proud owner of the most stunning eyes I’ve ever laid eyes on is Angelina Jolie, who works over at the local General Hospital as Dr. Smith's nurse. When those eyes lock onto yours, you just feel this wave of warmth... you kind of wish that moment could last forever. And look, if you've got eyes like that, the nose is basically irrelevant. To make matters worse—if you can even call it that—she's got a gorgeous nose too. I spent the whole night staring at her, trying my hardest to find a single flaw, but man, it was useless. Bottom line: don't obsess over every little physical detail; just lean into your own strengths to make up for any lack of confidence. Because let's be real, not everyone is an Angelina!

I need some info from anyone who’s had purely cosmetic surgery done at public hospitals (like Mayo Clinic or Mount Sinai). What’s the actual procedure? Do I book directly through a surgeon at the hospital, or do I see my own doctor first to get a referral sent over there? I'm lost. I've read everything online and still have no idea what to say... I have a lot to say about this...😁
Anyway, I want to know the costs at public hospitals and how happy people actually are with the results😁. I saw some girl on a site complaining that "regular plastic surgeons" get annoyed when people try to cut the line at the hospital. Look... honestly, if you have money to throw around, go for it. I don't have a stash of cash hidden under my mattress to drop a few thousand dollars all at once... plus all the appointments and consultations. Whatever. If you can't breathe, I get it. I've been miserable my whole life too. But I'm not letting you skip ahead of me in the hospital queue just because. I hope your heart stays in the right place.
It's great to hear about everyone who had successful surgeries and ended up happy🙂

Hi🙂
We're in the same boat. I'm planning a nose job too—both functional and cosmetic since mine is crooked. After reading these threads, I've realized private clinics aren't necessarily any better at rhinoplasty than the doctors working in public hospitals.
Also, if I may suggest, we should start a new thread dedicated solely to people sharing their satisfaction or dissatisfaction with rhinoplasty specifically one year after the surgery. That's when the real results show up. Most of these discussions don't give us the actual facts we really need....

we’re essentially in the same boat; I’m also looking into nose surgery—specifically functional and aesthetic work since mine is crooked from an old injury. After wading through all these threads, I’ve come to the realization that private surgeons aren't necessarily any better at rhinoplasty than the ones working in public hospitals.
And if I may be so bold, we really ought to start a new thread dedicated solely to people sharing their results—whether they're thrilled or disappointed—one full year after their procedure, because that's when you actually see the final outcome. Most of these discussions don't provide the concrete facts we actually need.
😕

There’s truth to that. You can find incredibly talented doctors in the public hospital systems, but you can also find some terrible ones, so you really have to be careful about who you choose.

Hey everyone, I’d really appreciate it if someone could help me out with a question... I went in for a checkup the other day—it’s been about six months since my surgery—and the doctor told me to come back on a Friday for some kind of hydrocortisone injections (??), sorry, I might not have spelled that right. He said there’s some fluid buildup at the tip, and that the injection might actually make the tip swell up a bit at first, but then everything should settle down. He also said I'll need to take it easy for two days... Has anyone else gone through something like this? I'm talking about the Actor.
I honestly have no clue what to expect from this injection, and I didn't really grasp what he was saying either—he was throwing so many medical terms around lol.🤷

Never heard a word about that before :S
So, is the tip swollen now? If it is, how bad are we talking?

Hi there!
Does anyone happen to know if Johnson opens up at eight or ten in the morning? I can't quite recall what was posted on his office door, and I'd hate to make a wasted trip—I've done that enough times myself! If anyone could clarify this for me, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance for the help!

Just wanted to jump in here and share how things are going after my surgery...
Yesterday I finally had my nose job done. Honestly, I didn't feel much pain at all, except maybe right before I went to sleep, but then I just took some Advil and felt totally fine. It’s day two now, so there’s a little swelling, but I’m up and moving around just fine. The only annoying part is breathing through my nose or smelling anything, but I guess that's expected.😁
To be honest, I decided to go through with this mostly for the aesthetics. Everyone always told me my nose looked perfectly fine, but I just hated it, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and hunt down a great surgeon. My journey involved seeing a few different people—first I had consultations with Dr. Smith, then Dr. Jones, and eventually Dr. Brown. In the end, Dr. Brown was the one who made me feel most confident. He listened to everything I wanted to change, so he’s the one I chose, and I am beyond happy with the results. The whole team there is wonderful, too. One thing I absolutely can't stand is paying a small fortune to someone only for them to act stuck-up or arrogant about their skills. I actually dealt with that exact vibe from Dr. Smith; he was pretty condescending and even tried to lowball me on the pricing, so I walked out of his office immediately!😁

Easy on the hype, guys. At the end of the day, we need to see how the nose actually turns out—that’s what really matters, right?

Why isn't anyone even mentioning Zambelli?

Congrats, Kimberly Thompson75.
I'm positive your new nose is going to look perfect.
I'm also gearing up for nose surgery in about two weeks. It’s been a long, exhausting road—mostly for my twin sister, though.😂Just some thoughts. I've decided to get it done over at Smith's.
Thanks to everyone who sent over photos of their setups. You guys really helped me out.😍
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope it’s a quick one.🙂

So, I finally went under the knife for my nose surgery yesterday. Honestly, it wasn't even that bad—the only time things actually got uncomfortable was right before I tried to crash, but once I popped some Advil, I felt totally fine. It’s day two now, and yeah, there’s a little swelling going on, but I’m mostly back to my usual self. The only annoying part is that breathing through my nose is basically non-existent right now, and I can't smell a damn thing.😁
So, I finally pulled the trigger and got my nose done. Honestly, most people told me my nose looked totally fine, but I couldn't stand looking at it—it was driving me crazy—so I decided to just go for it. I spent forever hunting down a surgeon I could actually trust, which turned into this whole ordeal of consultations. I first went to see Dr. Smith, then moved on to Dr. Jones, and eventually landed with Dr. Brown. After weighing everything, Dr. Brown was the only one who actually made me feel secure and understood exactly what I wanted, so that’s who I picked. And man, I am beyond happy with the results. The entire staff there is incredible, too. One thing I absolutely cannot stand is paying a small fortune to some doctor who acts like they're God's gift to medicine and has this massive ego; that was my experience with Smith, and he even tried to lowball me on the pricing, so I basically told him to shove it and walked out of his office right then and there.😁

Haha, I honestly got the same vibe from Dr. Smith, like he just didn't really care one way or the other, but since I'd already cleared the whole surgery through email, I figured there was no point in making a scene or anything. But hey, once you're already down in NYC, there's no turning back, so I just rolled with it. Thank God everything actually turned out amazing—better than I even expected, to be honest. 🙂
So, how exactly do you think he was planning to scam people out of their cash?

Still, since I was already in NYC, there was no turning back. Anyway, thank God, everything turned out great. Actually, better than expected. 🙂
How on earth did you think he was trying to scam you out of the cash?

He was also pushing me to drop a down payment right then and there. He does it so slick and practiced that you almost feel like you don't have a choice. I didn't fall for it, though.
I don't get why he does it. He has to know he's just bullying people. 🤷

Hey everyone, sorry for the spamming (all caps) in my last post. I got a little mixed up. 😂.
Still pretty new to this forum. 😉

Seems like only one lady here mentioned her experience with him, and even then, it wasn't that long ago. Such a bummer.😢
All I know is people go to him all the time for revisions—apparently, his boss was bragging in some interview about how she finally has a natural nose and can actually breathe after years of suffering with a tiny, pinched mess (who knows who operated on her originally?!🤣).

All I know is that people go to him all the time for revision surgeries—he’s basically the guy you see when things need fixing—and I actually heard his boss raving about him in an interview! She was saying how he finally got a natural-looking nose and can actually breathe like a normal human being after years and years of struggling with a super narrow nasal passage (well, let's just assume who operated on her originally!!🤣).

I haven't personally gone under the knife with Zambelli yet, but I did sit down for a consultation regarding a revision surgery. Honestly? He came across as such a sharp, professional, and serious surgeon. He walked me through every single detail, and looking back, I actually regret not having my initial procedure done by him in the first place.
He even showed me photos of revision cases similar to mine—I think I even spotted a nose that looked just like Madonna's—basically those classic Actor-style noses.
Even though he isn't an ENT (as far as I know), he immediately pinpointed every issue I have, including my breathing struggles. Later on, I went to consult with Dr. Bastajić (an ENT and aesthetic specialist) and Dr. Uglešić (a top-tier maxillofacial surgeon), but man, Zambelli just felt like the absolute best solution for my specific situation.
Just as a side note—all three surgeons agreed that I have a deviated septum on the right side. (With Dr. G., I had a septorhinoplasty, and later—to my total frustration because I still struggle to breathe—he kept insisting it was impossible for me to still have issues since he "fixed" the deviation, which turned out to be totally untrue).
For anyone sitting on the fence about nose surgery—whether it's purely for looks, functional stuff, or a bit of both—my big piece of advice is to definitely get a second opinion from at least two different surgeons before you commit. There are so many talented, highly skilled, and amazing doctors out there who aren't quite "superstars" yet but do absolutely incredible work.

Honestly, you really have to go get consultations from people who aren't just big names. I’ve never even heard of Dr. Miller, and Dr. Smith is a total stranger to me.
Come on, please share some photos and tell me what your experiences were like with those doctors.
I’m also one of those people looking at surgery strictly for aesthetic reasons. All I want is to find a surgeon who can actually look at my nose and see exactly what bothers me about it.

Yeah, I’d pick him too—though honestly, you couldn't go wrong with any of those three you mentioned. 😉
The problem is his website's gallery is basically empty—nothing to look at! How am I supposed to know if he actually knows how to handle a nose?

Susan Cooper23 said:I haven't actually gone through with a surgery performed by Zambelli myself, though I did attend consultations regarding a revision rhinoplasty. He truly left me with the impression of being an incredibly skilled, professional, and serious surgeon. He explained every single detail to me, and I suppose I can admit that I feel some regret for not choosing him for my initial procedure.
He even showed me various revision cases involving noses similar to mine—I think I even spotted a resemblance to Madonna’s profile among them, which were all quite distinctive, much like those of the Actor.
Even though he isn't an ENT (as far as I am aware), he was able to immediately identify all the breathing issues I've been struggling with. Later on, I sought out consultations with Dr. Bastajić (who specializes in ENT and aesthetics) and Dr. Uglešić (a top-tier maxillofacial specialist), yet Zambelli still seemed to be the most promising solution for my specific concerns.
In any case, all three surgeons agreed that I have a deviated septum on the right side. When I saw Dr. G., I underwent a septorhinoplasty, but unfortunately, because I am still having such difficulty breathing, he insisted it was impossible for there to be an issue since he had already corrected the deviation, which turned out not to be true at all.
For anyone who might be considering nose surgery—whether for aesthetic reasons, functional ones, or perhaps a combination of both—I would earnestly suggest that you consult with at least two different surgeons before making your final decision. There are many highly qualified, expert, and truly wonderful surgeons out there who aren't quite as famous, but they do an absolutely magnificent job.

He gave me a quote for about $2,400—though, honestly, I need a bit more work done, like a cartilage graft, so there's definitely more to it than just a simple tweak.
One lady on another forum mentioned she got an email response saying prices usually range somewhere between $1,950 and $2,400.

Aha, thank you so much! I had a feeling those might be his typical price ranges. :-)
