Something's bothering me

Hey everyone. About two weeks ago, I noticed "something" red on my palate. No blisters, no open sores—just some slight discomfort. It felt like there was this tiny little lump under my tongue. Now, that spot has faded to a light red, but suddenly the exact same thing is popping up on the other side. :/ I looked up canker sores, but based on the descriptions, this isn't it. It doesn't even really hurt; I just feel that sensation under my tongue. I recently had a throat swab done and everything came back fine. I haven't been sick at all lately. Has anyone else dealt with something similar??? My teeth are perfectly fine 🤷 so what could be causing this?
And one more thing... could this be a result of my partner having dental issues? 🙄 Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out. 😉

It might just be some swollen lymph tissue. I had something similar once that looked exactly like a pimple—a reddish bump that was lighter at the top, though definitely not white, which is usually what points toward pus—and it cleared up after a few days. I guess you should check how your tonsils look? Are they enlarged or anything?
