I’ve been dealing with this incredibly frustrating issue with my sense of smell over the last month, where everything has become hyper-sensitive to the point of being unbearable. It’s reached a stage where I can’t even apply hand cream or moisturizer to my face without feeling physically nauseous from the scent. Even simple things like waiting at a red light have become a struggle because the smell of gasoline from passing cars makes me want to gag. I’ve even resorted to using fragrance-free detergent on my clothes, yet somehow the fabric itself still carries a scent that triggers that same wave of nausea.
Even cooked meat smells unnervingly metallic, like blood, and if someone walks past me wearing what feels like an aggressive cloud of perfume sprayed directly into my nostrils, 🙄
I am 100% certain that pregnancy isn't the cause here, so I’m honestly at a loss as to what else could be happening.
I couldn't find a specific thread for this kind of thing, so if one already exists, please feel free to move this. 😉
