George Robinson43 said:It’s fortunate the internet never forgets. It preserves everything from Vlašić’s comments regarding water polo and Rudić to these recent remarks about skiing and gips.

History is merely repeating itself. First, Vlašić lashes out at his "athletic rivals" with absolute ferocity. Then, presumably, someone in his inner circle informs him he looks like an idiot, leading to a supposed retreat. Yet, he remains incapable of restraint, constantly reverting to the idea that his discipline is "the" sport, while all others are merely "some" other sports.
The man has alienated everyone within the HOO through his outbursts, and now he has the audacity to go looking for some sort of reward.

Regarding my alleged lack of competence...
It is patently obvious that you all share the same "genetic trait" as Vlašić; you simply cannot stop yourselves from insulting anyone who doesn't mirror your own perspective.
To you people, anyone else is inherently stupid, incompetent, or slow-witted. 🤮

I am not speaking up because Vlašić is "mine." He is an idiot. 🙂
I am speaking up because the media portrays gips as some kind of hero, when in reality, he is just as much of an egomaniac—if not more so. Just look at the statements he made regarding Ivanišević and tennis. 😉

Exclusive scoop: Vlašić and Ante Kostelić finally sat down together in the studio with Skura Bura to clear the air and settle once and for all which sport actually reigns supreme: 😉

I haven't really been keeping up with the thread lately. Have they finally stopped the bickering? Honestly, it was unnecessary to begin with, and especially unnecessary for Vlašić to be the one kicking this whole thing off.

I caught a bit of Vlašić on CNN the other day—just a snippet, really. He was explaining why skiing isn't some massive global craze, basically saying he didn't invent the sport, so why should he be blamed? But man, the host was totally sucking up to him—like, every single answer he gave, the guy was just nodding away like he'd heard the gospel. I guess it was a huge honor to have the greatest coach in the universe sitting right there in the studio, huh?

I don't care, and neither do you. But that's what we're actually discussing here. We can either have a debate or just sit around typing "who cares." If nobody cares, then why is everyone acting like an idiot? Look, 😁 I honestly don't care, but we're exchanging ideas. And my take? Based strictly on the numbers from this past year, there is absolutely no way Kostelić is ahead of Vlašić. Period. That is my one and only criterion: results.

Of course, that has nothing to do with their overall contribution to American sports in general. We are talking about the previous season. It's as clear as day. 🤷

p.s. call me whatever names you want. 😁 I'll even take "jackass." 😁

Can you even picture the scene? "And this year, the award for Best Coach, named after Ante Kostelić, goes to... Joško Vlašić!"🤣

Hold on just a second.

Whenever there’s a big meet or she’s grinding away in the gym, I never see Vlašić standing right by the line. It’s always this other guy—I can't even remember his name—who's acting as her coach. My logic says the coach should be the one whispering tactical adjustments to Blanka in those split seconds between jumps. But I rarely spot her dad at the meets, while that other guy is practically glued to her side...😕

Unlike Vlašić, who seems more hands-off, gypsum is out there hitting the slopes at 5 AM...

Now *that* is what I call a real coach, ☕ unlike Vlašić, who mostly just acts the part.

I don't think we'll be hearing much from Vlašica for quite some time, considering he's practically buried himself six feet under until the World Cup season finally wraps up.😁

We need to step up and protect our beloved San Francisco—this is where our athletes drew their strength and found their drive. Let’s not allow them to turn this place into some pretentious, elitist playground:

http://www.gopetition.com/petition/42074.html

On a different note, what Blanka and Ivica accomplish is, quite frankly, beyond comprehension. Blanka operates at a level of performance that used to be reserved for those using heavy stimulants, while Ivica is out there competing against the absolute global elite—facing psychological and physical pressures that are simply staggering. Given the conditions he deals with, he has evolved into the ultimate versatile skier; it would be incredibly foolish to downplay his achievements in any way.

Look, it’s blindingly obvious why gips is the superior choice here—if you actually bother to look at the numbers. You've got Blankina's competition, right? Maybe fifteen skiers total, and honestly, maybe three of them even have a prayer of winning. But then you look at Ivica... he's facing fifteen legitimate contenders fighting for the top spot, especially when you get into the slalom. I mean, come on—you have to be incredibly meticulous, almost obsessive, to prep an athlete to actually win against that kind of cutthroat field. It's not just luck; it's about dealing with real pressure.

What kind of clown is Vlašić? He thinks he can measure himself against Kostelić? That’s like comparing Jerko Leko to Maradona.

1. Vlašić’s daughter Branka competes in a joke of a sport where the competition is a laugh.
2. Comparing the effort required for skiing success to high jump is like comparing Leko to Maradona.
3. Honestly, how much talent does it even take to high jump?
4. How much money do you need to succeed in that Mickey Mouse sport versus how much it takes for skiing?
5. And how much time does it take to reach the top of that Mickey Mouse sport compared to skiing? (Ivica trained for 15 years before he ever hit his stride.)
6. I can clear 5'9" in a high jump... I did it three times during gym class... but if I had to tackle a slalom course with 50 gates, it would take me half a day. Branka is jumping about 6 inches higher than me lately, while Kostelić clears a 50-gate slalom 11 hours and 59 minutes faster than I could.

Why is this Mickey Mouse sport even considered an actual sport? Why is this Mickey Mouse family even mentioned in the world of elite athletics or compared to others, especially the Kostelić clan? And why is that clown Joško Vlašić ever compared to Kostelić in any capacity??

Good grief, the sheer number of delusional fools out there...

Nah.
This year, the absolute mess surrounding the HOO elections just came to light...
They have very specific criteria. If you look back at my old posts, you'll see what I mean.
And by those standards, Toni Tomas was easily the best coach this season.
Period. That's how they handed out the award last year, too.
But apparently, HOO couldn't stomach that decision...
So now they're claiming there's a tie between Toni Tomas and Ante Kostelić.
Except if you actually follow the HOO guidelines, Ante Kostelić didn't earn it at all.
They're setting a weird precedent by giving out two awards this time, even though they didn't do that last year for Kostelić and Vlašić.
Basically, they just doubled down on the injustice done to Vlašić last year...

My God, the amount of delusional idiots out there...

For high jump, all you really need is to be flexible and light.
I'll sign off on everything else. 🙂

Well, there you have it—lose a few pounds, sign up for the Diamond League, hit the Olympics, and suddenly America’s got another champion on its hands. Plus, you’ll probably secure a lifetime of stability once they nominate you for World Athlete of the Year.

Why bother with college or any of that other nonsense when we've already cracked the code to success?😉
