So far, we've managed to pull together about $4.75
We've already put about $333 toward emergency relief (enough to cover food for two families)

Look, regardless of how this whole fundraiser shakes out, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America are planning to pick up a bunk bed—you know, the kind with three bunks—for those three boys from that massive family of eleven who are currently stuck sleeping on armchairs

I mean, obviously, any bit of help is going to make a huge difference here

One of those kids actually has a birthday coming up in just five days, so I guess it would be absolutely perfect if we could get this organized and delivered ASAP

That’s a pretty impressive amount you guys have raised—I’m really crossing my fingers that some big-name celebrity decides to drop a donation of their own, regardless of whether people actually buy the umbrellas

They’re sleeping on armchairs 😢—honestly, and here I was thinking my beat-up old sofa was in bad shape 🙂

Kudos to everyone involved in this initiative 👍—it's just such a great cause

Just to be clear, we didn't touch any of the funds from the "Blue Umbrella" campaign for this specific family; we raised everything separately

So far, we've helped them out with one massive grocery haul (basically whatever we could fit in the car), clothes, school supplies for all the kids, and even birthday presents for them
now we've gone ahead and bought the room setup—mattresses, floor mats, blankets, a lamp, storage bins, the whole nine yards...

We also covered their unpaid school lunch debt from last year, and we're planning to cover this year's too

On top of that, we're looking to fix that broken window where they just have a piece of drywall nailed over the opening for now

The donations we've pulled together through the "Blue Umbrella" drive are going to be used to help two families who are currently in a really desperate situation

If anyone knows a good glazier who wouldn't charge me an arm and a leg to fix this window, hit me up
